BEFORE: Local favorite Sayumi Michishige fell to Marnie Simpson in Bethnal Green last month but the Front Street Japan booked her a swift rematch of sorts against another Geordie woman, Little Mix singer Perrie Edwards to open the eight edition of the International Jewels. Perrie refuses to admit she's been picked as a low-hanging fruit and vows to brutalize the Japanese actress however BBU TV's Denise van Outen doesn't quite buy this story and claims Edwards will have her work cut out tonight!

Sayumi Michishige wears a crimson red bikini set & black gloves. Long black hair tied in a sleek ponytail. Perrie Edwards wears a pink crop top, black hotpants & pink gloves. Long blonde hair tied in a curled ponytail. The fight is scheduled for ten rounds in the flyweight division.

Round 1:
Sayumi squares up to the British tourist and begins to stack up quick punches over the top forcing the younger woman into immediate reaction but Perrie's response bounces off the brunette's forearms and leaves her exposed when the local favorite nails her with a heavy harpoon on the navel. Sayumi switches to a full-scale body assault once she notices the singer's painful reaction and clobbers her onto the ropes where Edwards really has to get going amid a swarming charge from the older girl. Michishige doesn't hold anything back and plugs the blonde's midriff with gusto before Perrie headlocks her in desperate fashion and gets lectured by the referee. She remains trapped on the ropes and soaks up a high-octane jabbing series thereafter as Sayumi stays on top of her for remainder of the round.

Round 2:
Perrie displays supreme mobility to avoid the initial charge and settles into a counter-punching stance that allows her to match the brunette's intensity before she finds a nasty right hook on the mouth that finally slows Michishige down. However the local favorite doesn't dwell on that big punch for too long and keeps piercing the singer's body so Perrie has to unload more counter-punching juice and she scythes Sayumi across the mouth again, this time with visible progress. Sayumi wobbles to her side and gets punked up the middle as Perrie drives her mitts up her cleavage and bumps her onto the ropes where she cleans up the exposed midriff to leave the actress clinching her in chaotic fashion. Front Street Japan owner Ayako Hamada looks upset at the bell and...

Round 3:
...Sayumi makes sure she's the one running the show early in the third when she smacks the British tourist over the top and cuts a small gash under the left eye in the process. Perrie responds with an aerial charge but keeps bouncing off the Japanese high-guard and gets pummelled up the middle again as Michishige opens up from both flanks but lacks the power supply to drop Edwards into immediate trouble. Both girls exchange more crisp jabs but lose their slugging prowess come the final minute before a clash of heads slumps them into a lenghty stalemate that even Denise van Outen dismisses as "shambolic".

Round 4:
Sayumi wants to keep the judges in her corner and dominates the early tangle in the fourth however Perrie stuffs her with a nasty harpoon on the liver area and begins to stack up more punches downstairs as the Japanese actress loses her footing and has to drop back in unexpected retreat. Perrie beats her for a punch over the top and hauls in a promising double on each temple before she blows into her solar plexus with a heavy right hand that folds the older girl into loud spasms. Sayumi tries to spin out of the jam but eats another scything cross on the mouth and slumps on the ropes while Edwards rallies downstairs to bash the exposed ribcage and steal the round on points in convincing fashion!

Round 5:
Perrie lands another scything cross on the mouth to slump Sayumi on her heels upon impact and slams a left hook on the eye that tears a small gash and renders Sayumi immobile on the spot. The Geordie singer racks up immediate jabbing heat up the middle to dissect the high-guard and bangs a solid uppercut on the jaw to slump her rival into loud spasms before a thundering overhand nails Michishige on the ear AND DROPS HER FOR THE COUNT moments later!!! Uh-oh!! So much for that revenge mission as Sayumi crashes on her right side and barely rises to all fours half-way throgh the count. She tries to get up but fails to fend off the dizziness and stays down on one knee when the otherwise slow count passes her by!!! KO5 Perrie Edwards!!!

AFTER: Huge win for the Geordie tourist who snaps a five-fight losing streak and heads over to coach Nicola McLean to celebrate this result. One might argue she was behind on points but took full advantage of delivering the most powerful punch of the night as old demons come back to haunt the promising Japanese talent. Sayumi just doesn't have that power supply neccessary to boss her way around the division and she couldn't wear the British singer down either which suggests she might never become a true contender on the international market.

Meanwhile Perrie has a clear idea whom she wants to fight next: "I've heard that lousy worthless tramp Amber Gill thinks she's the next best thing, aye? When I go back to my place I will wipe the floor with her overrated tawdry ass! How about it, pet? Gonna show up in Metro Radio Arena or not? Because I will be there!"
