Intro:
Now the first of two title fights tonight, the ACB bantamweight title being defended outside of Australia for the first time ever here in Newcastle's Utilita Arena, Teresa Palmer will be hoping second time is the charm after losing to Miranda Kerr for the belt in 2017 by knockout in eight rounds, Olympia Valance making her second defence on the Girls Friday 10th Anniversary card.

Sarah Cummings of the Gold & Green magazine flew to England as the two fighters did a press event with Sarah as the moderator, Sarah sitting in between two stools, on each side of the small stage comes the fighters, Teresa's wearing a dark green dress with black heels, Olympia with the ACB title over her right shoulder, wearing a black dress with matching heels, the fighters square off at the center of the stage, hands on hips as they lock eyes as photos are taken of the face off.

Separating to go to their stools with a microphone handed to them by stage hands, Sarah thanking both for agreeing to this, then gives Teresa the chance to speak her mind first, the beautiful blonde pushing back a few loose strands behind her right ear, telling Olympia "oh I'll keep this simple, I am bringing that title home to place on my mantle piece so my kids can see what a winner is, I mean I am not some old hag like Rose (Byrne) is" mentioning Olympia's last defence.

Olympia grinning as she shakes her head, replying "I wouldn't piss off Rose, I'm sure she could knock your mouthy head off your shoulders, but it's me and you fighting, you don't have to worry about adding the title to your trophy cabinet because you ain't leaving with this" Olympia holds up the title in her right hand, Teresa eyeing the belt up as her fists are clenched.

"Olympia you better grip that title as hard as you can because I am going to rip it out your hands, knock you out and shut up all this hype around you, I mean Jesus you have one fluky win over Miranda (Kerr) and have a list of bums" fires back Palmer as she points at Olympia.

"Last I checked you didn't beat Miranda when you had the chance, that's probably why I annoy you, once you were going to be the next superstar from our homeland, instead of being the next Yvonne (Strahovski) you have choked, you'll choke when my fists crack into your face" Olympia not backing down herself as the tension is ramping up.

Teresa dropping the microphone as she stands up, asking "why wait then? F**king bring it bytch if you think you are all that" Olympia standing as security gets between them, Sarah asking both to please calm down, it's clear as the insults fly that won't be happening, instead they are led off the stage before they batter each other here.

Fight night, first through the curtain comes the challenger, Teresa is wearing green gloves that she bangs together, a navy blue sports bra with green trim, matching trunks and shoes, hair tied into a braid as she marches down the aisle, her coach Nicole Ritchie following behind looking confident her fighter can bring home the gold, Teresa steps into the ring nodding to Nicole when told this is her moment.

Now here comes the champion, Olympia Valance steps out through the curtain with her big sister the ACB lightweight champion Holly and coach Taryn Terrell is with her, Olympia is wearing a black sports bra with gold trim, matching trunks and shoes, gold coloured gloves, her hair tied into a ponytail as she steps into the ring, Taryn handing the belt to the referee as Olympia gets a hug from Holly.

Referee brings the fighters to the center of the ring, eyeing each other up as they look in amazing shape, the title belt held up as a few venomous words are exchanged, when told to touch gloves they swipe gloves with their opponent, returning to their corners, ready for the bell to ring to start 10 rounds of ACB bantamweight title action.

Round 1:
"Ding!" Out come the fighters on their toes, right away Teresa is looking for ways to move in to strike, burying a few body shots in as she ducks down under the jabs of Olympia, who readjusts to strike more downwards into the top of the challengers head, knocking back Teresa to the outside as they get an understanding for their opponent.

It's clear though by the end of the first minute that Palmer is the one looking to create different looks first, feinting then sidestepping the champion to each side to then land overhand shots that turn Olympia's head to the side, she then powers forwards with more power shots to press Valance onto the ropes to the delight of her corner.

Needing to push off Teresa so she can move off the ropes, Olympia is landing some crisp punches around the head of Teresa, she is more reacting then actually being the one making the moves, Teresa has her confused it seems as Olympia starts to drop back more.

A short right catches the champion onto her jaw, driven back onto the ropes by a left uppercut, Teresa starts to pound Olympia to the flanks, Valance pulling her into a clinch, both fighters grinding bodies as they try to muscle each other around in the clinch, broken apart with Olympia throwing stinging jabs to finish the round, but at that bell it's a very strong start for the challenger, Palmer out the gates quickly tonight.

Round 2:
Clearly told by her coach to let her hands go more, Olympia is throwing more two to three punch combos, especially doubling up her jab to make it harder for Teresa to make her own moves, a double jab smacks the blonde on the top of her head after she misses with a left cross, getting knocked back to range.

Olympia starts to drive back Teresa to the outside part of the ring as she holds the center better, still taking some hard clean shots into her face in reply, the champion lands a jab/right cross combo to ward back Palmer towards the ropes, where Teresa covers up more.

Past the half way point of the round, Olympia starts to throw in more hooks of her own trying to break down her opponent, leaving herself open at times to hard counters, with her left deflected and a left jab smacking her on the lips, an uppercut then follows to knock her head back as Teresa gets herself off the ropes and now into the grill of the "Neighbours" star.

Hammer and tongs in close they go as they fight to the center of the ring, Olympia using her left forearm to create some space, Taryn not looking happy with her as the final forty five seconds sees hooks flying in from both fighters, heads getting turned when they land flush up until the bell rings to end the round, Olympia with a much better round, though Taryn quick to tell her not to be drawn into her opponent's style of fight.

Round 3:
Both now exchanging more punches in volume around the middle of the ring, crowd cheering when they plant their head to trade as heads are getting snapped back, Taryn shakes her head clearly wondering if her message got through to her fighter, this wasn't what she wanted to see.

Stepping back out the way of a left cross, Olympia shows some of the class her coach wanted with a counter one-two into the face of Palmer, a left cross soon follows to make the challenger back off, the focus seems to have return to Olympia's eyes as she starts to smartly mix up her punches now to keep her opponent on the back foot.

Teresa is able to feint then crouch under a straight, burying in two left hooks to the body but gets pulled into a front headlock, referee warning Olympia to keep it clean when they are broken up, Teresa trying to up the tempo when they resume, she ends up missing again with a hard right, getting a double jab around her right eye to make her retreat back to range.

Final forty seconds sees Olympia dictating the pace as Teresa is stuck on the outside, her guard is blocking quite a few punches, problem is she isn't landing too much to deter the champion coming at her, when the round ends Teresa thuds her gloves together in a clear sign of frustration, her great start looks so far for nought as Olympia has come roaring back.

Round 4:
The champion is starting to look more relaxed now on her toes firing out her punches, catching Teresa with several stiff punches to knock back her head, taking some around her body as Teresa is still up on her own toes looking for different angles to strike from.

Feinting before she lands an overhand left to the jaw of Olympia, Teresa has her opening as she lands a follow-up uppercut, Valance backed into a neutral corner as she is worked back with a fluffy of punches, Olympia needing to pull onto Teresa in a clinch, force the referee to break them up so they can resume in space.

The challenger is beginning to find her mojo again, slipping punches before coming to the inside with some big punches to send sweat from the brow of Valance, taking the middle of the ring for herself as Holly looks a little worried for her sister, who has some puffiness forming around her right cheek.

Pushing off Palmer late in the round, Olympia lands a hard right to the jaw of the oncoming blonde, then rifles a double jab into her nose as she moves back out to range, finishing the final thirty seconds strong, though when the round ends Palmer looks to have tied up the scoreboard rounds wise, both fighters being wiped down and given new advice.

Round 5:
It's starting to become a bit of a chess match surprisingly, Olympia is needing to react to Teresa, who is drilling in more overhand punches over the top of Olympia's guard to crack her to the side of the head, sending sweat off the brunette, Nicole roaring her fighter on.

Pushing away Palmer, Valance lands a nice three punch into the face of the blonde, they trade hard shots as Teresa comes back on the inside, an uppercut knocks back the head of Valance, who finds herself onto the ropes, Teresa pounding away at the abs of her opponent till Olympia can pull her into another clinch, slowing down the charge of the challenger.

As they resume Olympia landing a double jab out the gates, a right knocking back the head of Teresa as the momentum swings around again in this hard fought battle, keeping back Teresa as she hammers her with another double jab then a straight to the face of the blonde, missing with a left cross as Teresa dips under then pounds in two short rights to the body.

Trading on the inside, it's become a slugfest as heads nearly clash, Teresa forcing the issue as she uses her left to nudge Olympia with hard shots, Olympia landing some good digging punches into the top of the smaller woman's head to make her back off, bell rings with Teresa starting to make headway again, Olympia taking a deep breath to keep calm, she looks annoyed as Holly gives her a talking to.

Round 6:
Standing up eyeing each other from across the ring, they come out their corners exchanging hard shots through mitts, guards starting to open up more as they throw more punches in volume, Teresa looking to step in more with her own punches, missing with several overhand punches.

Missing with an overhand left, Teresa is punished with a counter right to the left eye of the blonde, who cries out as Teresa moves back, there's swelling right away around the eye of Palmer, with Olympia quickly stepping in with a one-two to knock back the challenger.

Teresa throwing several clean punches back as Olympia leaves herself open trying to hurt the Hollywood star, back goes Valance with Palmer working her on the outside, beating around the body of the champion, who pulls Teresa into a tight clinch.

After being split apart by the referee, Olympia is quick off the mark to pound a right into the eye again of Teresa, who shies away as Olympia muscles her into a neutral corner, pounding around the eye of Teresa, who need to hold onto the champion to slow the assault, they resume again but not long later the bell rings with Teresa needing her coaching crew to work on reducing the swelling around the left eye, Olympia looking at her gloves as she is being patched up herself.

Round 7:
Back out they come to fight, Olympia moving her upper body more, feinting as she looks for her own openings, moving back when Teresa tries to charge her, big mistake as a straight smacks into that swollen eye, Teresa's vision is definitely being effected as she isn't landing as flush as before, getting caught through her mitts.

Then a double jab opens up Teresa as a right hook catches her on the chin to rock her onto her heels, Olympia rocking back the blonde to the ropes, AN UPPERCUT OPENS UP TERESA FOR A LEFT HOOK TO THE CHIN THAT SENDS HER DOWN TO THE CANVAS ON HER LEFT SIDE!

Raising her right arm in the air smiling, Olympia enjoyed that one as she walks to the neutral corner, 1...2...3.. Teresa rolling to her back groaning as her eyes shut, left nearly closed anyway with swelling, 4...5...6... Teresa has her gumshield hanging out her mouth, 7...8...9...10 it's over! Olympia keeps the title!

After:
The victor mounting the bottom ropes of the corner she is in with arms above her head, taking in the loud cheers of her supporters, her big sister Holly rushing in to hug her from behind, yelling "that's my baby sister!" With a prideful look, Taryn smiling warmly as she applauds her fighter.

Nicole on the other hand has to check on Teresa, working on getting her up to a sitting position, over comes another Lookout corner crew member to help up Teresa, her head down as she is led over to her stool to sit her down so they can work on her.

In the opposite corner Olympia has her gloves off, her cheek worked on as she tells her corner crew "God that bytch can hit when she wants to" Holly patting her on the back, the champion nodding as she looks emotional, wiping away a tear of joy.

The fighters come to the center for the final result to be announced, Teresa shaking her head as Olympia gets her right hand raised, the title belt wrapped around the waist of the champion, the beaten fighter not wanting anything to do with Olympia as she steps out the ring.

Heading to the back, Teresa can't believe that she has lost a big title fight again, Nicole needing to console her, she probably won't be going to the after party, more focused on relaxing and recovering after this fight, she still has time to come back for another title shot.

While the winner poses with her sister and Taryn, in the center as she has her arms around their waists, the title proudly on show, they all leave the ring together all smiling, Olympia and Holly will certainly not be holding off on the drinks at the party, joking that the other is supposed to be the smart one as they discuss how many beers they want, Taryn rolling her eyes with a grin.
