Before: “Now that I have my first fight and my first win behind me, I’m ready to start moving on to the next stage of my FCBA career. Janel Parrish is my size, but with a lot more experience. Still, I beat a bigger woman in Briana Evigan, so I am confident I can get my second win against Parrish,” says Zoe Kravitz, clearly in a good frame of mind following her debt victory.

“I wouldn’t be all that confident, dear,” says Janel Parrish in mocking tone. “I saw that fight and you got in a lucky punch to win that thing. Evigan was kicking your butt, but she got sloppy and you bopped her straight in the nose. Who knew a “glass nose’ was a thing?”

Zoe scowls: “I was not ‘lucky’—I was shrewd enough to see an opening and I took it. That’s how I won and I don’t like being dissed by the likes of you.”

“Get used to it,” Janel says, “you can only get so far with luck. Then it will change—just like it will with you and me.”

“Don’t be so sure ‘Ms 3-10’, you aren’t all that scary,” Zoe fires back.

“You won’t be saying that once I’ve taken you put,” Janel promises.

“Which is NOT going to happen!” Zoe Kravitz says with some heat

The two petite flyweights are now getting chest to chest. Zoe’s in purple shorts and a gold tee with HOLLOWAY BOXING across the chest in black lettering. Janel is in black shorts with a white tee with PLP in red letters across the front. Looks like trouble, but, for once, FCBA Security is on hand promptly and the angry ladies are led from the stage.

Nothing like the hint of a grudge match to raise social media interest in a fight. By the time the two fighters enter the ring, the ill-will from the presser is clearly still running strong. Zoe is looking fit in a black bikini with matching boots and gold gloves (gold laces on the boots, black on the gloves), her hair is pulled back in a battle braid. Janel in a white bikini with red boots and gloves )whte laces). Janel has her hair in a ponytail. The two are soon glaring at each other, hands on hips, and referee has to sternly order them to “save it for the fight.” The two step back and do finish the instructions. Then there is a loud SMACK! as the glove “tap” is heard in the nose bleed seats in the arena. One last dirty look and they march to their corners to impatiently await the bell. It rings…

R1: Zoe and Janel hurtle out of their corners to clash sharply at mid ring. Zoe clouts Janel on the jaw with a big right, but Janel smacks her own big right off Zoe’s chin. The two pause a moment, then plunge forward with whacking hooks to the body. Two fire away in close and torsos are under constant punching. Janel really working Zoe’s abs while Zoe’s giving Janel’s breasts a thrashing. Very even down the stretch, but then Janel steps back and unloads a fat right uppercut to the chin. Zoe sent stumbling back though she manages to use her jab to stall Zoes follow-up. Bell rings and judges give Janel a narrow win.

R2: Janel moving early to strike at Zoe to the head. Zoe ducking and dodging, replies with a stuffing right hook to the stomach. Janel doubles up as a left hook follows the right deep into her abs. Janel now pounded to the sides of the head and then more hooks to batter her body. Janel falling back, not able to stop a surging Zoe with the jab. Janel sliding along the ropes, trying to avoid being pinned there, but taking a lot of punishment in the process. Zoe not able to trap Janel on the ropes, but she has done plenty of damage an wins the round easily.

R3: PLP corner working on Janel and she does come out looking ready. Zoe swoops in and heads back to the body. Janel taking the ab hits, but straightens out to respond strongly with solid rights and lefts to Zoe’s jaw. Zoe protecting her head now, but stabbing out the jab as Janel now attacks. Janel working Zoe’s rib cage and stomach with punch after punch. Zoe responding with a drumfire attack on Janel’s breasts. Janel starts gasping for air as Zoe’s jugg mugging keeps emptying Janel’s lungs. Janel holds together and gives Zoe no target for a devisive punch, but Zoe does enough to win the hard-fought round close.

R4: Janel comes out of her corner and strikes quickly with sharp jabs into Zoe’s face. Zoe reels back, hastily raising her mitts, but Janel able to slip in a good right uppie to the chin that sends tremors down Zoe’s legs. Zoe falling back, finally getting her jab going, but it’s not enough to keep Janel from backing her into the ropes. Janel pounding Zoe’s midsection as Zoe keeps her gloves up around her head. Janel trying to cut Zoe down, but Zoe stubbornly staying up despite the storm of leather that soon has her huddled up and gasping for air. Bell sounds and Janel steps away with an annoyed look on her face. Zoe peels herself off the strands and moves stiffly back to her own corner. Janel Parrish wins round wide.

R5: Janel again out aggressively and going for Zoe’s face. Zoe is prepared this time and blocks those jabs, then she plows a right took into Janel’s belly, sending Janel up onto her toes as she jackknifes forward. Now Zoe batters Janel’s head from side to side with lightning rights and lefts. Janel looking overwhelmed as she stumbled back, unable to mount an effective defense. Then Janel blasts in her overhand right that smashes into Janel’s nose and adds a follow-up left that smacks Janel between the eyes. DOWN GOES JANEL PARRISH. Janel sinks to her knees, her nose spurting crimson and then pitches over onto her side. Zoe looks down on the devastated Janel with a triumphant smile and then hastens to the neutral corner. Referee starts counting. Janel trying to rise, but keeps falling back. She is in a sitting position with a forlorn look on her face as the referee stands over her.

“EIGHT!....NINE!...TEN!.,,YOU’RE OUT!”

THE WINNER: ZOE KRAVITZ DEFEATS JANEL PARRISH KO5!

After: Zoe eagerly tells press: “She said I won my first fight with a ‘lucky punch’ when Briana got ‘sloppy’. Well, I guess this time it was Janel getting ‘sloppy’ and me having my trusty ‘Nosebuster Lucky Punch’ handy. Nothing like shutting up someone with big mouth in front of crowd of people to help a fighter feel really good about herself!”

Janel Parrish with a swollen (though not broken) nose is understandably reluctant to speak with the press. However she is quoted by sources as saying “Kravitz is the most opportunistic fighter I run into a log time. You make a mistake and there is with that shot to the nose and I’m on the canvas. Nobody better underestimate her after this!”

(“That was nice of her to say,” Zoe says in reaction to comments, “nobody should underestimate me or they’ll be on the canvas too!”)

Good win for Zoe Kravitz in only her second FCBA fight. Janel Parrish did give her rough rounds, but Parrish herself said, Zoe is always on the lookout for opportunities. Once again. She took advantage of a sloppy defense to pop in that right to the nose. Not always a winning blow, but it has worked for Kravitz. Future opponents be warned! As for Janel, once again she looked good at times, but lost the fight. Still, when it comes to a fighter to test newcomers she is still performing a valuable service for the PLP organization.
