Ili Cheng challenges Dove Cameron

R1: Dove’s opener belies her 8-13 track record, putting Ili on the retreat. She strikes her in the head twice, then moves on to her body, and the lightning speed with which Dove carries out her beating causes Ili to struggle in defense, unable to keep up with her opponent’s speed. Her torso is red from the punches she took by the end of the round.

R2: Ili halts Dove’s advance by dodging her opener and countering with a savage uppercut. It sends her reeling, and Ili capitalizes on this with more punches, both to the head and chest. She is unable to go much further than that, for Dove puts up a sturdy defense and her punches fizzle out against her opponent’s arms. Still, even if the rest of the round is just Dove defending and Ili attacking uselessly, the opener did some damage.

R3: Round two took a lot out of Ili, so she flags in round three. Dove swings wide and hard to try and catch her, and even though she misses the first few times, she catches Ili with a powerful hook that sends her spinning to the ropes. Dove follows up quickly, not allowing Ili to rally in defense against her, punching as hard as she can to finish her opponent off quickly. The round ends before she is able to do so.

R4: After a disastrous round three, Ili throws all she has into a bid at victory in round four. Her eye is swelling and her body is beginning to bruise, but she is determined to take the win. Through sheer power alone, she breaks through Dove’s guard and surprises her with a couple of punches to the face.

The other girl stumbles, and she senses victory is close, then hones in for the kill. She throws all she has left in a knockout blow just as the timer ticks down on the few seconds left in the round…

… and it sails past Dove’s head.

R5: The short rest between rounds does little for Ili, and soon she falls to a punch to the stomach that folds her over. She hits the floor breathing hard, and doesn’t rise before the ten count.

Winner: Dove Cameron via KO5!
