Joy Corrigan vs Malika Menard

BEFORE: Joy Corrigan is set for a busy couple of weeks as she has a date with Candice Swanepoel booked for the upcoming Fight Night Live already however first she has to deal with former BBU lightweight champion Malika Menard. The French brunette remains winless under FCBA banner but is determined to end her lousy losing streak against the alleged beach boxing speciallist:

"This is my big opportunity. Joy is nothing special. She's won some fights on the beach but remains an overrated bimbo! There are way too many of those around FCBA! I've been sparring with Candice in the Foxfire gym and I know she will work her over fast! I'm really glad I have a chance to make Candy's job so much easier!" (giggles).

Joy dismisses Malika's comments and believes this will be the brunette's last FCBA fight in the foreseeable future: "I'll give her the beating of a lifetime! There's just no other way, folks! To quote Jenny McCarthy, we've got one hideous dancing hooker punching waaay above her weight! Bring it on, bytch!"

Joy Corrigan wears a white bikini set & red gloves. Long blonde hair tied in a curled ponytail. Malika Menard wears a black bikini set & blue gloves. Long dark brown hair tied in a sleek ponytail. The fight is scheduled for ten rounds in the lightweight division.

Round 1:
Malika gets almost too desperate seeking that maiden win on American soil and runs into a jabbing wall as Joy uses her head as target practice and cranks up the production volume real fast much to the crowd's delight. Malika tries to stay in the heads up exchange but gets caught on the chin several times and has to bail out of the zone while Corrigan lashes out at her and shoves onto the ropes when things get really hectic during the second minute. Menard holds her own throwing punches from behind the guard but Joy matches her work load and slams the best left/right combo of the round before drilling the French pageant on the exposed navel. Ugh! Malika slumps into spasms right at the bell and Joy still whacks her in the ribs late which earns her a warning from the referee.

Round 2:
Joy thinks she's got the French girl right where she wants her early in the second; Malika cuts a spooked figure when she gets thumped to the body but avoids betting trapped on the ropes and loops a nasty hook over the top that catches the American on the nose. Another right-on-right exchange finds the same spot and wobbles Corrigan to the side with Malika pouncing on the body assault charge that bumps the blonde onto the ropes. Joy barks in anger as she shoots over the brunette's shoulder and soaks up another wild hook at the brow ridge which allows Menard to clean up the blonde's exposed midriff during the final moments of the round.

Round 3:
Joy is a fighter of the short fuse variety and sometimes it backfires into her face indeed... Malika ducks underneath a chaotic jabbing charge and keeps picking the blonde off from the inside which grinds Corrigan into a halt once the brunette nails her on the jaw with enough venom. Ugh! Joy begins to get stuffed around the area as she gets outworked by the supreme jabbing display and Malika pummels her onto the turnbuckle half-way through the round; she shakes the clinching attempt and barges more leather into the blonde's midriff. Corrigan slumps into loud spasms and struggles to embrace the heat downstairs which only fuels Menard's intensity. She cripples the younger model into a near punchbag value and nails her on the jaw right at the bell to earn a well-deserved ovation from the audience!

Round 4:
Malika seeks more success thumping the blonde to the body but gets locked into a phone booth stalemate as Joy recovers well to punish the French cleavage before a clash of heads sends Menard reeling onto the ropes. Joy's initial pounce misses the target and leads into a lenghty clinch as both women wrestle for supremacy; Joy eventually breaks her right arm free and drills the brunette's tummy but gets turned around and almost lifted off her feet as Malika loses her temper. She belts the younger woman around the liver area but quickly sets up a head-hunting charge and almost manages to stay on top of the action until Corrigan catches her with a looping shot on the ear. Malika bends to the side and eats another bomb on the nose that drops her on jelly knees only for the clock to expire moments later.

Round 5:
Both women charge at each other seeking another breakthrough and Joy tags Malika on the chin a couple of times before ducking underneath a looping response and digging her forearm into the brunette's chest. Malika loses her balance and makes an ill-advised decision to send punches from her heels which graze off the blonde's flesh... and then Joy booms one up the middle that finds Menard's nose and drops her into shrieking mess. Ugh! Did we just witness a structural damage flushing Malika's chances down the gutter? Joy doesn't need a second opinion and whacks the briefly stunned foe right where she seemingly hurts the most and snaps Malika's head all over the place before looping another hook into her mouth. Uh-oh! Malika goes all numb here and CRASHES DOWN ONTO HER KNEES with eyes closed before slowly slumping face-down at the blonde's feet! Joy struts back to her corner and tells coach Claudia Schiffer to remove her gloves already as her work is done tonight! And she's not wrong as the French rival remains unresponsive during the count! KO5 Joy Corrigan!!!

AFTER: "Told ya she's a dancing hooker!", Joy winks back to the camera and keeps it relatively calm thereafter while the Foxfire Atlantic medical team has to escort the shaken up & very much stirred Malika towards the locker room. The former pageant winner just can't break her losing streak on this side of the pond and it's anyone's guess when we see her in the ring again. There are no such unknowns for Corrigan who is set to battle on the Rio Rumble undercard in her preferred beach setting next month: "I hope Candy Swanepoel is ready to taste defeat because I'm literally gonna knock her head off! Wish me luck!" (giggles).
