BEFORE:
"Well," says Olivia with a smile, "The last time we tangled, Chloe came out on top and broke Front Street's losing streak against The Wilde Girl. Tonight, I get that win back and start a new streak."
"Know WHY I was the first Front Street girl to beat Olivia," Chloe asks with a smile of her own. "Because, she's THAT good...but, I'm just a LITTLE better."
ROUND ONE:
O'Dell: "Back at ringside and that's Bach's 'Toccata and Fuge in D Minor' you hear, and here comes brunette beauty Olivia Wilde!"
Cassie: "Nice to see The Wilde Girl back in Philly!"
O'Dell: "For those of you who don't remember, Olivia was a stablemate of Cassandra Lynn in the Bazz Fight Club, and she's had a LOT of success here in Philadelphia. Olivia into the ring and helped off with the robe to reveal a red number that's got the crowd popping. And, that's..."
McCarthy: "And egreekjus assault on my olfaction!"
Tess: "I don't think Google Translate is going to help with that one..."
Cassie: "No, because even Google doesn't speak J-Mac..."
McCarthy: "What ARE you two babbling about?"
O'Dell (sighing): "The SONG is 'Uh Oh', by the young lady coming to the ring right now, former Unified Bantamweight Champion Chloe Bennet!"
Cassie: "Chloe came one point from getting those straps back last month, so, you know she's looking to get back on track tonight..."
O'Dell: "Bennet into the ring and helped off with the robe by Jewel and Neve. She's wearing that blue number we've seen before and looking plenty good it in. And, the ladies are about ready. Time for some picks. Tess likes Chloe. Mac?"
McCarthy: "Wilde's no tomato can. Olivia!"
O'Dell: "Cassie?"
Cassie: "I agree with Tess!"
O'Dell: "And, there's the bell and the ladies wasting no time getting to it, exchanging sharp flurries immediately. Some serious leather flying as both brunettes are looking to impose will and nobody's willing to be imposed upon. GOOD right hand from Bennet that backs up Wilde..."
McCarthy: "Don't back up! Take it to her!"
O'Dell: "Olivia right back forward and there's ANOTHER sharp exchange and that time it's Chloe who gets backed up by a hard right hand. This isn't quite Hagler/Hearns, but I'm getting that vibe and BENNET GETS ROCKED! Right hook by Wilde staggers Bennet and DOWN SHE GOES AFTER A STRAIGHT RIGHT!"
Cassie: "That's the Wilde Girl..."
O'Dell: "Olivia to a neutral corner. Bennet on hands and knees. Count at three. Four. Five. Chloe pushing to her feet at six. Ref going to give her the mandatory and waive on Wilde! Olivia all OVER Bennet, driving her back into the ropes and letting the hands go. Five seconds to go. Good right from Wilde and there's the bell. Great start for Olivia."
Tess: "Doesn't get much better than a 10-8 first."
ROUND TWO:
O'Dell: "Wilde pressing her advantage. She's backing up Bennet with heavy fire. Chloe giving some ground, engaging in a fighting retreat. Looks like she's shaken the worst of the damage, though, as she's banging back with more and more authority as we go..."
Tess: "And, Wilde notices. She's backing off the pressure here. Doesn't want to get caught."
O'Dell: "Smart, veteran move by Olivia, knowing when to push down on the accelerator and when to ease off. Sharp exchange there and another and THAT RIGHT HAND HURT WILDE! Bennet a straight right and Olivia's knees wobbled and DOWN SHE GOES AFTER A THREE-PUNCH COMBINATION!"
Cassie: "Nobody can say THIS fight hasn't had plenty of action..."
O'Dell: "Bennet now to a neutral corner. Wilde down on her back. Count at three. Four. Five. Olivia rolls to her belly at six. Pushes up to hands and knees at seven. Eight. Reaches for the ropes at nine. TEN! It's over! Wilde can't beat the count and it's OVER! And your winner by KO2 is 'The Next Big Thing' Chloe Bennet!"
McCarthy: "LUCKY PUNCH!"
AFTER:
O'Dell: "Let's go up to the ring and Tess Valmore!"
Tess: "I have our winner, Chloe Bennet, and, Chloe, you've gotten a reputation for being involved in some fights with tons of action..."
Chloe (laughing): "Well, it's been that kind of career, yes. But, I could do with a lot less of stuff like what happened in the first."
Tess: "But, as usual, you came back strong..."
Chloe (nodding): "Yeah. I mean, she's a top-level fighter, no doubt, and stuff can happen. But, it's not about what happens. It's about how you handle it, how you come back from it. And, I'm pretty good at coming back from it."
