(Wildetime Boxing vs Downunder Boxing)

Intro:
The ACB welterweight title is on the line as Erika Heynatz looks to win the title from the champ Jesinta Campbell in the Suncorp Stadium.

Erika is 42 years old; she stands 5'11 and holds a record of 13 wins, 12 by knockout and only 3 defeats, she is a former ACB welterweight champion and BBU welterweight champion.

Jesinta is 27 years old; she stands 5'10 and holds an unbeaten record of 3 wins, all by knockout, this is the first defence of her ACB welterweight championship run.

The fighters were interviewed by Green & Gold's Sarah Cumming on the set of the ACB network, with Erika the first to give her thoughts on the fight.

Erika tells Sarah "the facts are simple; I was the champion and down to a new member of the ACB committee, I was robbed of my title because they said I didn't defend it, that wasn't my fault and I am going to right things by getting my title back"

When asked about her feelings for Jesinta, she answers "she is nothing special, she has beaten no one in her career and proves how big a joke it was what happened with the title, she is going to suffer the humiliation of not even defending the title once"

She finishes by saying "I hope that when I win the title back, that I will be getting a ceremony from the ACB committee to show that I am the queen if this division"

Jesinta is all smiles as she sits and chats to Cummings, when asked about this fight; she replies "this is a fight I have dreamed of for a while, she has been the best fighter from these shores for a long time, she conquered here and the UK boxing scene, America not so much but we all can't be perfect" laughing as she finishes.

She continues after taking a sip of water "but I feel I am in great shape, this title has given me the motivation to be the best I can be and I think that will be too much for Erika"

Fight night; Erika comes out with her coach Tania Zaetta by her side, Erika banging her gloves together as she heads to the ring in a slow march, her eyes only focused on the ring.

She is wearing a black sports bra, matching trunks, boots and gloves, while her hair is up in a simple ponytail.

Climbing into the ring; Erika heads over to her corner and bumps fists with Tania before she starts warming up with her coaches instructions.

Now out comes Jesinta with Nikki Visser, the coach is carrying the title belt, Jesinta is all smiles as she waves to the fans.

She is wearing a red sports bra, matching trunks, gloves and shoes, while her hair is also in a simple ponytail.

Getting into the ring; Jestina steps to the ring centre and kisses the belt when Nikki holds it up for her, then jogs over to her corner to begin her own warm up routine.

The fighters are brought to the ring center, the referee holding the title for both to see, their eyes are locked directly at each other though as they try to psyche their opponent out.

They are told to touch gloves; where the women bash their gloves together with no love at all, more interested in getting 10 rounds of ACB welterweight title action started.

Round 1:
Both fighters start off with probing punches, Erika not having her guard as high as her opponent, showing that she is more confident as she throws more punches then Jesinta.
Who is being shouted at by her coach Nikki to step up her tempo, Erika looks very comfortable with the early pace and is landing the cleaner punches as she jabs up top and uses her hand to test the tummy of the younger woman.
Jesinta either heeds her coaches words or is getting sick of being so defensive, suddenly she parries a straight from her opponent and steps inside to land two cross punches.
That pushes Erika onto the back foot, where the challenger looks to fight from as she wants to keep Campbell to the outside.
But Jesinta slips under a jab and works the body of Heynatz, ripping hooks into the ribs of the older woman to cause her to gasp out.
She leaves her head open though; allowing Erika to strike with a right to the side of her head, then as Jesinta moves back, she lands a left across her cheek.
Both fighters finish the round off strongly as they let their hands go and plant their feet to give a grandstand finish.
The bell rings with both women heading to their corners wondering to themselves if they won that round, though Jesinta's coach isn't too pleased with her over the slow start.

Round 2:
This time Jesinta comes out quicker; moving her head more as she looks to get in closer to Erika to work on the inside, meaning that Jesinta just takes glancing blows to the top of her head.
Jesinta slips under a left cross to get to work in tight to her opponent, slamming her punches into the abs of Erika to start pushing her backwards towards the ropes.
Erika is able to nudge Jesinta back with a left in her face, then lands a right behind her ear to force her to move back.
The veteran moving around the outside of the ring, hoping to keep Jesinta back with straight shots as she keeps on the move.
But Jesinta after taking several punches on her gloves; dips under a right cross and comes back up with an overhand left that crashes into the side of her opponent's head.
The champ turning the screw somewhat as Erika covers up, Jesinta works the body with a flurry of punches, while keeping her head down as she drives Heynatz to the ropes.
Erika pulls Jesinta into a front headlock to force the referee to step in and break them up, then she heads into space and as the fighters are told to continue, Erika starts catching Jesinta coming in with punches to the top of her head.
The bell rings not long after with Jesinta looking slightly happier, Nikki pointing out to time her attacks better as she can't give her opponent any openings to exploit.

Round 3:
This time Erika expects the early charge from Jestina and begins to counter punch more, with Jesinta trying to get in close and ending up missing with overhand shots.
Erika snaps Jesinta's head back with a jab when the frustrated youngster misses with a right hook, she follows up with two more punches straight to the champs face to knock her on her heels.
Now the challenger is powering forwards, keeping Jesinta stuck behind her guard and herded near the ropes.
Erika uses her jab to keep Jesinta's guard plastered to her face, then starts throwing hooks around that guard to knock the head of Campbell around.
Jesinta uses her left to shove Erika's head back, then swings a right that hits Heynatz across her nose to make her retreat back.
The champion drives forwards with her punches slamming off the gloves of Erika as she forces her back towards the center of the ring.
The round ends after both stand and trade, eyes locked in an intense stare as both women have to be shouted at by the referee to head to their corners.
Tania tells Erika as she sits down "you're in her head, you can see it in her eyes" as Erika gets washed down and told what to do now to ramp up the pressure.
Across the ring; Jesinta nods at Nikki as she is told to use her speed, if she can catch Erika out then the big bytch will become a mess.

Round 4:
Erika looks to repeat her success early on; jabbing and keeping on the move as she looks for Jesinta to come on the attack so she can counter her.
But Jesinta seems to have smartened up to that, getting back to moving her head out the way of punches as the action is slow.
Till Jesinta feints; Erika throws a left cross that finds air and the champ lands an overhand right across the face of her opponent to knock her back.
It's like a switch has went off for Jesinta as she sends of flurry of punches across the face of Heynatz to knock her backwards.
The challenger backpedaling as she tries to cover up, instead she is sent tumbling into the ropes by punches slamming into her face.
Erika grabs onto Jesinta with a bewildered look on her face, the champ looks to break free and get back on the attack, the referee is needed though to break them up.
It allows Erika to get her jab working again as she fights off the back foot, not interested in getting into a slugfest with Campbell after taking that barrage.
She keeps Jesinta back for most of the reminder of the round; till Jesinta parries a jab aside and strikes first with a left to the ribs, then a right hook up top to start teeing off on Heynatz again.
The bell rings to end the round with Jesinta getting a big smile from Nikki, who encourages her to keep getting into Erika's face.
While Erika looks a little stunned; she has Tania giving her a pep talk as she looks for an answer to her problems, Erika nods and bangs her gloves together as she looks to have regained some confident.

Round 5:
As they come out; Erika looks to be hoping that she can catch Jesinta out still, even after the terrible round she just had.
It looks to work early as she stays on the move and catches the overly keen Jesinta on top of her head with jabs and straights to keep her on the outside.
But once Jesinta starts using feints again, the challenger doesn't realise that she is getting closer to the ropes and ends up taking a left across her cheek and a straight on her nose.
Erika finds herself on the ropes; where she tries to battle her way off them, JESINTA'S HAND SPEED IS TOO MUCH FOR HER THOUGH AS SHE KEEPS TAKING PIERCING PUNCHES THROUGH HER GUARD ONTO HER NOSE, WITH A RIGHT ACROSS HER CHIN SENDING HER TO HER KNEES!
Jesinta jogs over to the neutral corner she is being waved too, her eyes say she is hoping Erika stays down so she doesn't have to keep hurting her.
1...2...3 Erika shakes her head trying to clear it, 4...5...6 before she tries to pull herself up, stumbling and falling to her backside, 7...8...9...10 she looks confused as she is counted out!

Winner and still ACB welterweight champion Jesinta Campbell KO Round 5

After:
Jesinta gets her first big marquee victory it can be argued tonight, she falls to her knees with tears in her eyes as she is overwhelmed by this win, getting to fight her icon and beat her to retain the title.

While Erika has the ringside doctor checking her; shaking her head as she comes fully around, she looks in disbelief that she actually lost this fight, she punches the canvas in disgust at herself.

Tania helps Erika up and over to her stool so she can be cleaned up, she tries to console Erika; who replies "I shouldn't have lost, she doesn't deserve that title"

Jesinta is all smiles across the ring, chatting away to Nikki as the two chat about the fight, Nikki telling her how proud she is of her.

The fighters are waved to come to the ring center by the referee, where Jesinta gets her hand raised and given the title to hold with her other hand, Jesinta with a beaming smile as she fans roar for her.

When Jesinta goes to show respect to Erika by offering a hand shake, Erika brushes her off and storms out the ring, with Jesinta looking confused as she watches her go.

Jesinta's attention is turned to Delta Goodrem coming into the ring, Delta smiling as she hugs her friend and rival, then asks the question on a lot of peoples minds "so are you keeping your word and giving me the next title shot?"

"Of course" is the simple reply from Jesinta as she holds the belt up and Delta stares her down, cameramen getting up on the ring apron to get a better look at the intense stare down taking place.

Then both women shake hands and smile, with Delta leaving the ring so Jesinta can have her moment to celebrate.

Jesinta holding the title up as she goes for a lap of honour with the title, tears flowing as she is so happy right now, hoping she can have many more moments like this.
