Intro:
Jessie J returns go the ring to take on the undefeated Sasha Luss, can Jessie stop Sasha's momentum or will the Russian model stamp on Jessie towards bigger fights, they step into the Suncorp Stadium in Brisbane tonight.

Jessie is 31 years old; she stands 5'9, her record is 3 wins, all coming by way of knockout, 9 defeats with 1 draw.

Sasha is 27 years old; she stands 5'10 ½, her record is 2 wins, both coming by way of knockout, with no defeats.

Both were interviewed by Sarah Cummings of Gold & Green magazine in their locker rooms, first up Sarah headed into Jessie's locker room to get her thoughts on this fight.

Finding Jessie working her trainer punch pads, the singer stops to tell Sarah "hey Sarah, don't normally get to speak to you" joking as Sarah smiles and nods.

"I'm looking forwards to fighting Sasha, she won't be getting past me as easily as the old has beens she has been fighting so far in her career" says Jessie as she starts stretching her arms.

Sarah asks Jessie about how she's going to win this fight, Jessie answers "I have to be smart as I know Sasha can box, I am betting on my footwork to overcome her"

Over in the Russian's locker room, Sarah finds Sasha shadow boxing, stopping when told she can have a few minutes free to talk to the reporter.

"It's nice to visit your country Sarah, I certainly wouldn't complain if I have to fight here again" says Sasha with a warm smile to Cummings.

Her mood changes though when asked about Jessie, replying "Jessie is just another stepping stone to me, her singing career is worth so much more then anything she has done in the ring, so I am not sweating her one bit"

Asked about her goals for next year, Sasha admits "it might be too early to think about title fights, I want to keep stepping up in levels till I catch the eye of a champion"

As Sarah is about to leave the room; Sasha tells her "maybe Bo Krsmanovic needs to watch her back with me around" making Sarah smile and nod in reply.

Fighting time; Jessie comes out with her coach beside her, she looks relaxed as she bounces on her toes, enjoying some support from British ex pats and her fans who traveled it seems as she nods at a union Jack holding set of fans.

She is wearing a black sports bra, black trunks with white trim, black shoes, with white gloves, while her brunette hair is tied into a ponytail.

Getting into the ring with a smile, Jessie bows to each side of the ring before heading to her corner, where she stretches to warm up as her coach gives her a pep talk.

Out comes Sasha with her coach beside her, she looks intense as she heads down the aisle as if walking the catwalk, hands out to the side as she stares at the ring.

She is wearing a white sports bra with a red and blue stripe down each side, matching trunks and shoes, red gloves and her blonde hair is tied into a braid.

Stepping into the ring; Sasha jogs straight over to her corner, thudding her gloves together, then begins stretching to warm up as her coach tells her to punish Jessie for daring to step into the ring with her.

When the fighters step to the center of the ring, they square up to each other nose to nose, the referee staying close as the intensity of both women can be felt radiating off them.

Told to touch gloves; they slam their gloves together with a hard thud, returning to their corners quickly enough, the referee signals for the bell to start 10 rounds of welterweight action.

Round 1:
Coming out their corners up on their toes, they exchange single punches while moving their upper bodies, making it hard for either to land cleanly.

Jessie steps inside with two body shots, moving back out when Sasha goes for a right hook, with Jessie starting to dart inside to work before moving back out.

The Russian though shows off her own quickness, stepping one way before moving back the other with a right drilled into the mouth of Jessie to knock her back a step.

Trying to be more aggressive, Sasha misses though with most of her punches, eating counter straight punches into her mouth or her abs to make her grunt out.

The final few seconds of the round sees Jessie dig in two hooks to the ribs of Sasha, who lands a left across the top of the brunette's head just as the round ends.

Returning to their corners; Jessie is smiling as she feels relaxed after a good opening round, Sasha getting told not to worry too much about the slow start.

Round 2:
Coming back out to the center of the ring, Sasha is doubling up her jab as she hunts down Jessie, who is taking more punches through her guard to her face.

The older fighter deflects a straight punch before countering with a right to the abs of Sasha, leaning out the way of an uppercut as Sasha looks up for hurting the singer.

Who has done a good job controlling the action, keeping elusive off the ropes as Sasha struggles to cut the ring off, allowing Jessie to land her combos more freely.

But as Jessie steps in with a right to the body, Sasha lands a left hook to the top of Jessie's head, an uppercut straightens her up for more punches.

Jessie finding herself under fire in the final minute of the round, needing to retreat around the outside of the ring, taking most of her opponent's punches on her gloves.

At the bell Jessie doesn't look too bothered by how the round ended, her coach reminding her that Sasha has started off her career strong for a reason, not to lose focus here.

Round 3:
Back out comes Sasha looking more determined, ducking down to dodge the jab of Jessie so she can step inside, landing two hooks to the body of the singer to get a tune out of her.

Jessie landing a jab/straight combo to push back Luss, trying to keep the fighting where she wants it, finding it harder though as Sasha is slipping more punches now.

With a missed straight by Jessie leading her to take a right across her mouth, a follow up left cracking Jessie across her jaw to rock her back to the ropes.

Sasha keeps Jessie herded near the ropes, forcing the brunette to trade with her in closer range, dipping under a right cross to fire in a left/right into the abs of Jessie to make her grunt out.

Needing to shove back Sasha so she can get off the ropes, the beating she took seems to have lit a fire under her, coming back at Sasha as they slug it out in close range.

Jessie drilling a nice right across the cheek of Sasha just before the bell rings to end the round, both nodding at each other as they almost seem to be challenging each other before heading back to their corners.

Round 4:
As they step out their corners glaring at their opponent, they trade straight shots as they look for better angles to come in and land hard punches.

Deflecting a right; Sasha lands an uppercut that snaps the head back of Jessie, who finds herself being pressed back towards the ropes by three clean punches to her face.

Jessie pulls Sasha into a clinch, with both women whispering insults, before the referee can step in to drag them apart and allow them to box freely again.

The Brit is able to land a straight to open up Sasha to a left hook, forcing Sasha back towards the ropes with Luss covering up with an annoyed look on her face.

An uppercut again catches Jessie to send her onto her heels, her guard is too loose as Sasha is hammering Jessie through her mitts into her beautiful face.

The round coming to an end with blood running from the lips of Jessie, she sits on her stool cursing herself for being too open, wincing as her coach works on cleaning her bloody lip up.

Round 5:
Seeing more openings to exploit now, Sasha is charging forwards, landing uppercuts too easily for Jessie's corner as they watch their fighters head get snapped back.

Jessie tries to close the gap with a left/right straight into the top of Sasha's head, pushing her back a step as she looks to open up on Luss.

But another right hook smacks Jessie's head around, TWO HOOKS SEND JESSIE INTO A CORNER, WHERE AN UPPERCUT FINALLY TAKES HER LEGS FROM UNDER HER, DOWN GOES JESSIE TO ALL FOURS!

Sasha pounds her chest with her right glove, getting nudged back to the neutral corner before the count begins, 1...2...3... Jessie looks up at the referee, 4...5...6.. She has a resigned look on her face as she spits out her gumshield, 7...8...9...10 Jessie is counted out!

Winner Sasha Luss KO Round 5

After:
Another step up in class for Sasha, another win on the board for her, pumping her right fist into the air as she heads back to her corner, where she gets a hug from her coach for another good job.

While Jessie is helped to stand, she looks up to the heavens as if to ask what is she doing wrong, she needs to be helped to her stool as she is still shaky.

When she is on her stool; Jessie apologizes to her coach, who waves it off as they are going to work on her busted lip, telling her to focus on improving in her next fight.

Across the ring Sasha enjoys a drink and getting wiped down, she is talking about things she needs to improve on already with her coach, knowing that this wasn't a perfect performance by any stretch.

The referee waves for both women to come to the center, they both come to it with Sasha basically ignoring Jessie, not acknowledging the woman she just put down for the win as her arm is raised into the air.

Jessie just gives a look of "who cares about you either" as she turns to leave the ring, her coach telling her "we'll get you a win soon, I know it" getting a smile from Jessie as she says thanks.

Inside the ring Sasha raises her fists into the air as she poses for the cameras, her fans cheering her as she grins at them.

Leaving the ring with her coach beside her, Sasha smiling as she waves to the crowd, wondering who is next on her hit list of opponents.
