BEFORE: Spanish WAG Sara Carbonero has fond memories when it comes to Australian oppositon having stopped Emily Scott at the Kooyong Stadium last time out but veteran model Lisa Gleave has other ideas on my her mind and believes the beach boxing genre suits her style a lot better: "I know there are some youngsters making noise out there but I'm not done with celebrity boxing just yet! Sara is the perfect target for me to get back into some serious contention! Blondes simply do it better and Sara will learn it the hard way tonight!"

Meanwhile Sara dismisses the blonde's predicitons and tells BBU TV's Georgie Thompson that she's gonna "blow her up in less than five rounds!" which indicates she's ready for some hard-hitting beach boxing action alright! And this is only the first undercard contest of the night after all.

Lisa Gleave wears a light blue bikini set with white trim & golden gloves. Long blonde hair tied in a sleek ponytail. Sara Carbonero wears a red one-piece swimsuit & yellow gloves. Long dark brown hair tied in a curled ponytail. Both fighters are barefoot. The fight is scheduled for ten rounds in the bantamweight division.

Round 1:
Both women waste little time and just power ahead with nasty slugs hoping to gain immediate advantage. Lisa rocks the brunette's head with her initial combo and tags her on the chin again before she belts her on the navel and that series is enough to send Sara reeling. Lisa barks in her jabbing efforts as she keeps backing her foe onto the ropes and Sara just can't do anything about it as she slumps under the Aussie barrage and applies the earmuff cover while Gleave keeps blasting her from both flanks! She seemingly wants to knock the brunette's head off but fails to split the mitts often enough and settles down into her breadbasket while Sara simply can't swing back and soaks up all this early punishment. She begins to gurgle in discomfort in the closing stages whereas Lisa wants to add more juice and bends the younger woman sideways with another brutal harpoon drive right at the bell.

Round 2:
Lisa jumps into a hectic jabbing assault and splits the brunette's mitts upon the initial impact but Sara gradually works the overhand response which leads into a back & forth slugging in the opening minute. She lands some single shots into the blonde's face but Gleave shakes them off and stays in close range while menacing around the brunette's temples. Sara gets nailed a couple of times and tries to duck low underneath the follow up but gets stunned by a harpoon on the liver area and wobbles to her heels while Lisa blasts a left hook over the top and pounds her onto the ropes thereafter. Carbonero struggles to battle back and gets shoved onto the ropes where she manages to clinch the older woman but Lisa still pummels her to the body and claims this round with room to spare.

Round 3:
Sara needs to get a little more aggressive here as Lisa rides the confident streak and outworks her in another close range tangle in the opening minute. She hoofs the Spanish high guard aside and begins to stack up punches in the brunette's face while Sara refuses to slug the Aussie model back and prefers to clinch her which really slows the action down in the second minute. Lisa eventually breaks free and slams the journalist on the chin before Sara lands a cross hook of her own but that's too little too late as Gleave kicks some sand at her shins after the bell and claims she's won the third round on the bounce here.

Round 4:
Finally some meaningful combo drive stops Lisa in her tracks early and one can feel the brunette's urgency when she powers ahead to connect with the blonde's face during the initial tangle. Gleave refuses to back off and wants to slug it right back but eats a brutal cross hook on the nose and stumbles to the side while Carbonero thumps her on the liver area and gradually backs her onto the ropes thereafter. Gleave rejects the clinching respite but that comes at a price as she gets outmuscled in the corner and eats several crisp shots on both cheeks that wobble her forward and the Spanish woman clocks her with a nasty uppercut right at the bell to halt the bleeding on the scorecards.

Round 5:
Sara gets more aggressive and mounts her jabbing pressure into Lisa's body before she cripples her with a nasty uppercut on the chin. The older woman slumps to her heels but still feels confident enough she tries to smack the brunette over the top, she nails Carbonero on the mouth but eats a similar reply moments later and drops her mitts just so Sara can pounce on her with the head-hunting assault. She lands another uppercut series to glue the Aussie to the spot and whacks her across the nose that makes the model wince in pain. Lisa just can't raise her arms fast enough before another big hook tears into her temple and DROPS HER ON HER KNEES much to the crowd's delight! Uh-oh! Sara scampers back to her corner but she's got one fuming Australian up on her feet at seven and Lisa shakes off the knockdown by rattling the brunette's ribcage just past the two-minute mark. She barks in her efforts and slaps Sara's midsection with some meaningful leather before the younger woman digs her forearm into her chest and SMOKES her with another wild uppercut on the jaw. UH-oh! Lisa slumps on visibly jelly knees and drops her gloves as Sara tears a bloody gash across her nasal ridge moments later and lands another big punch on the left temple THAT DROPS GLEAVE FLAT ON HER BACK in the sand! And this time it's way more serious as Lisa is unable to get up and rolls onto her side with the merciless count duly passing her by! KO5 Sara Carbonero in come-from-behind fashion!!!

AFTER: Sara doesn't celebrate too much here as she realizes this was rather ugly success where she got dominated by the older opponent during the first three rounds. If she wants to call herself a contender, she needs to bulldoze rivals like Gleave with room to spare and that wasn't the case tonight at all. Meanwhile Lisa remains a gatekeeping entry tailor-made for more beach boxing appearances however BBU TV's Georgie Thompson doubts if she's gonna improve her status going forward based on her age and apparent lack of genuine killer punch which basically let the Spanish WAG off the hook tonight.
