Brooke Vincent vs Martina Stella

BEFORE: Coronation Street stalwart Brooke Vincent was largely dismissed as BBU cannon fodder until she forced a promising draw versus Tilly Keeper last year which sparked some life into her nose-diving career. However that result carries little value and she's being targeted as "punchbag extraordinaire" again - this time by Italian actress Martina Stella.

Stella broke out in style winning her first three fights but then got stopped by Heida Reed and has to rebuild her contending stock almost from the scratch. She doesn't enjoy as much exposure as some of her Italian compatriots who flashed their talents on Sports Illustrated and beyond but she's one mean character in her own right and shouldn't be underestimated by any means.

Brooke Vincent wears a black one-piece swimsuit and red gloves. Long auburn brown hair tied in a sleek ponytail. Martina Stella wears a light blue bikini set & white gloves. Long blonde hair tied in a curled ponytail. The fight is scheduled for ten rounds in the bantamweight division.

Round 1:
Here comes Brooke... stopping Martine's punches with her face as the Italian blitzes through the Brit's approach and topples it with some wild striking to finds the target all too often in the opening minute. Brooke's below par defense gets exposed straight away but the proud Mancunian lass tries to hang in the exchange until Martine blasts her on the nose and spins back onto her heels. Ugh! Another left/right combo tags the nose and drops Vincent on jelly knees but the intended follow up misses the target upstairs and allows the brunette to clinch Stella into safety. The back & forth shoving sends both women onto the ropes where the blonde breaks free but gets picked off with a nasty uppercut on the chin as Brooke rallies with a nifty drive and backs the older actress into mid-distance before the round ends shortly afterwards.

Round 2:
Brooke tries to swing one over the top but Martina's quick execution leaves her eating more jabs instead and since she's not a slugger at heart those Italian punches slump her into loud spasms sooner rather than later. Zero mobility from the Corrie babe is the ultimate sin as Martina ignores the high-guard down the stretch and plugs vicious leather into the midsection. This switch also does the trick as Vincent's looping response finds thin air and she wilts under the body assault to hug the ropes half-way through the round. Martina doesn't even have to hit the speed dial button and sticks to a methodical busting approach that leaves the Brit gasping for air at the bell while FCUK manager Katie Price inspects the damage. Brooke's ribcage is visibly marked red on both sides so it's a bad look for the Corrie stalwart indeed.

Round 3:
Martina has noticed how the FCUK camp inspected Brooke's midsection during the interval and she simply plugs her mitts down there again which puts the Brit in total retreat mode once she begins to experience the heat. No slugging response from the Corrie babe and she trips over her own feet to suddenly find Stella BLASTING a left cross on the nose before a looping right hook PUTS HER DOWN FOR THE COUNT!!! Uh-oh!! That was all Brooke's fault according to Georgie Thompson in the booth but the fight is not over yet! Brooke battles back to her feet at seven and even swings at the older foe with some meaningful presence however Stella weaves away from the desperate heave and times her response to beat the brunette for a right-on-right contact before she plugs another wild harpoon in her guts. Brooke slumps on the ropes and can only clinch the blonde in desperate fashion but she still eats more body shots late in the going and shakes her head in visible discomfort at the bell.

Round 4:
More clubbing of the brunette's ribcage slumps her within seconds of the bell and Martina keeps pounding the soft spot until Brooke screams out in pain; she tries to bail out into mid-distance but a crunching uppercut on the jaw sends her spinning onto the ropes instead. She bounces off them and finds the Italian's right hook crashing into her mouth TO PUT HER DOWN FOR THE SECOND TIME!!! Uh-oh!!! Brooke lands flat on her back and makes little effort to recover from this disaster so even Katie Price knows it's all over here! KO4 Martina Stella!!!

AFTER: Brooke is back into punchbag mode but Martina remains a mysterious prospect who simply wasn't pushed hard enough tonight to answer all the questions. Can she really contend for the elite laurels going forward? It's anyone's guess at this stage!
