Before:

Bantamweight action sees a rubber match between two of the top ranked bantams as Elizabeth Olsen and Shay Mitchell will meet in the ring. Both girls know the stakes and keep their press conferences brief, wanting to focus on the match.

“I know she beat me the first time, but that was seven years ago,” Shay says, “But I beat her last year, and I’m going to do it again tonight.”

“I want to show that last year was lucky for Shay,” Elizabeth says, “I’m going to get the best of three tonight.”

The crowd is loud as the fight is announced, and Elizabeth Olsen is the first girl who makes her way to the ring. The Avenger removes her robe to reveal a red sports bra with black trunks and matching gloves for the fight. Shay enters the arena moments later, the Canadian removing her robe to reveal a blue bikini set for the fight with white gloves. The two girls bump their fists together and the bell rings for ten rounds of bantamweight action.

Round 1:

Shay charges out of her corner and takes a big swing at Elizabeth to start the round. Olsen dodges the blow and crushes a right into Mitchell’s jaw and the Canadian girl is retreating early. Lizzie steps forward and starts tagging the older girl’s body, knocking Shay backwards until the taller girl clinches Elizabeth. The referee separates the two girls, and Lizzie goes right after Shay once the fight resumes. Mitchell keeps her gloves up and starts to work her counter, landing a pair of blows back onto Olsen. Elizabeth keeps up the pressure and forces Shay to back off and cover up. Mitchell plants her feet and lands her first solid punch of the fight, forcing the brunette to retreat. Shay works her jab, but Elizabeth stays out of her range. The bell rings to send the two to their corners, and it’s Olsen who takes the first round on points.

Round 2:

Lizzie starts the second by picking up the tempo and working Shay backwards early. Mitchell quickly plants her feet and buries a right into Olsen’s torso, stopping the younger actress and Mitchell follows up with a left into her opponent’s chest, knocking Lizzie backwards. Shay slams a right into Lizzie’s guard as the Avenger covers up, and Shay hammers Elizabeth’s flanks as she works the smaller girl into the ropes. Liz slips a short right into Shay’s mouth to escape from the ropes. Olsen and Mitchell start circling each other and Mitchell puts her extra reach to use, chasing Olsen around the ring and tagging her body with jabs that make it around her guard. Lizzie keeps her guard up and plants her feet, taking a pair of lefts before clinching, forcing a break in the final seconds of the round. The bell rings and sends the two to their corners, with Shay coming back in the second.

Round 3:

Mitchell hitting her stride as she leaves her corner and puts her reach to use early on, battering Olsen backwards as the shorter brunette does not have the range to respond. Lizzie keeps her gloves up to limit the damage before she steps forward and hits Shay in her jaw. Now it’s Mitchell who’s retreating as Olsen steps up and picks around her opponent’s guard, tagging the older girl’s body. Shay clinches to force a break and the older actress goes right back to her jab out of the break using that reach to force Elizabeth backwards. Lizzie dances backwards around the ring, avoiding the taller girl and running the time out in the round. The third round concludes with little action, and Shay takes the third on points.

Round 4:

Lizzie hears it in her corner and the brunette comes out with purpose to start the fourth, knocking the bigger girl back early as she gets in close and robs Shay of her reach advantage. The taller actress is quick to clinch and force a break and the two girls circle once the action resumes. Shay works her jab, keeping Elizabeth at bay with rights and lefts, but she can only keep it up for so long before Liz finds a counter, popping the taller girl in her mouth. Mitchell gets her gloves up in time to block Olsen’s follow-up right, avoiding the big strike, but Lizzie pounds a right into Shay’s torso. Mitchell goes for the clinch, but Olsen powers a right into her chest that knocks the Canadian backwards. Shay strikes out with a jab but the bell rings and sends the two back to their corners.

Round 5:

Olsen now hitting her stride as she picks up where she left off, working Mitchell back into the ropes early. Shay quickly clinches to force a break, taking her and Olsen back to the middle of the ring. Lizzie works her jab, working in close to Shay to rob the Canadian girl of her reach advantage. Mitchell still keeping her gloves up and Olsen takes advantage, pounding two rights into the older actress’s body. Shay drops back and Elizabeth feints a hard left that Shay falls for only to take a right that clobbers her! Shay staggers backwards and Olsen pounces forwards, striking two quick blows into Mitchell’s chin and her legs wobble! Elizabeth connects with a one-two around Shay’s guard and sends her to the canvas. The ref starts his count as Mitchell struggles on the ground, the ref already at the count of six before Shay rolls herself onto her belly. She gets to all fours at the count of nine, gets one foot underneath her – and the ref counts out ten! Your winner by KO5 as Shay gets up just a second too late, Elizabeth Olsen!

After:

Mitchell nearly beat the count but Olsen notches her tenth victory in the year, attaining the mark for two straight years. Elizabeth goes over to Shay and hugs the Canadian before raising her hand. The crowd cheers the sportsmanship and the two embrace again before Olsen leaves the ring.

“Shay is a tough fighter,” Olsen tells the press, “I thought she was going to get up, and she nearly did. But a win is a win.”

Mitchell talks to the press later, keeping her comments brief. “It’s hard losing a rubber match. I thought I had her early, but Lizzie came back and knocked me down. She never had a year with double digit wins until last year, and now she has two.”
