Before: Battle of rookies tonight, Jessica Chancellor stepping into the ring for the first time, Nathalie for the first time since her 2017 loss to former co-star Sophie Turner. Fighters appear to be on equal footing, not really knowing what to expect. Not the most exciting off pre-fights, with no shared words and only a couple of looks to size each other up, fighters step in the ring.

Round 1: Girls patient, arms up, circling around each other. Nathalie goes in, spooking Jessica with a couple of jabs, backing out. Jessica finds herself near the ropes, Nathalie trying to use that to her advantage, rushing towards Jessica but getting tangled up in the ropes. Jessica is quick to react, punishing Nathalie’s ribs then hooking for her nose. Nathalie gets out of the ropes tries jabbing Jessica but misses instead. Girls keeping distance, choosing their battles… Jessica shows aggression jabbing with rights and lefts; Nathalie with her gloves stuck to her face, leaving her belly open for Jessica to deploy a hard hook. Nathalie gasping for air, goes in for a clinch and pushes Jessica away, deploying some hits to the stomach as well. Girls find themselves in the middle, neither backing out, whipping fists at one another face, both taking the punishment fearlessly. Jessica landing more precisely ultimately hurting Nathalie’s ribs making her back out and catching her with another hook right of the eye. Nathalie stunned for a short while, absorbs another hook of the eye, responds with a couple of jabs. The referee rings the bell to end round one. Jessica wins the round with Nathalie right behind her keeping the fight fairly close going into round two.

Round 2: Nathalie in charge at the start of round two, jabbing for Jessica’s nose than sticking lefts and rights to her ribs, driving her to ropes. Jessica doesn’t know whether to protect her face or body. Whenever she would protect one Nathalie would pick apart the other. Jessica clinching, manages to get off the ropes and stick some jabs to further damage Nathalie’s eye. Jessica looking to punish Nathalie’s belly but she got out of range and quickly back in with an upper-cut sending Jessica off balance then hooking from the left and the right as Jessica’s lip starts to bleed. Nathalie starts another series of jabs, Jessica dodging some but still takes a good deal of damage. Jessica’s cheeks rosy red, nose and lip bleeding at the two-minute mark of round two. She finds herself rope-side again and with nowhere to go she fires off a series of jabs towards Nathalie who does the same. Not the result that Jessica wanted as she takes three or four hits for each one she lands. Nathalie wins round two, making Jessica lose confidence in the process.

Round 3: Nathalie still in charge, doing work on Jessica’s ribs. Jessica fighting back catching Nathalie with a few hooks of the check knocking her back. Nathalie is stunned for a bit, but still gets to her senses quick enough to dodge Jessica’s uppercut and responds with a face-body hook combo. Nathalie pushing Jessica to ropes, takes some hits in the process but ultimately gets Jessica where she wants her and starts sticking lefts and rights to Jessica’s belly and ribs. Girls separated by the referee. Jessica took some damage; glove on her ribs as she limps slowly. Nathalie stalking her around the ring pumping jabs to the face then rushing to the body. Jessica making mistakes, throwing slow punches easily countered by Nathalie taking more damage to the ribs. Not looking good for Jessica as Nathalie takes the second round in a row by a landslide.

Round 4: Nathalie is still in charge, walking Jessica into the ropes from the start and going to work. Nathalie sending fists to Jessica’s belly making her bend then issuing an uppercut to staggered Jessica. Not much resistance from Jessica, she’s taking the beating without protest. Nathalie not retreating, making sure Jessica feels every punch. Jessica’s legs start to crumble as she starts to slide off the ropes but Nathalie reaches under her arms making sure she stays up. Referee issues a break. Jessica with barely on time to regroup with Nathalie on top of her again. Jessica finds herself stuck to the ropes again and Nathalie continues the assault on her belly. Jessica groaning; every time she looks like she wanted to hit the canvas Nathalie would make sure she stays up. Jessica battered at the end of the fourth as Nathalie looks to be determined for a knockout in round five.

Round 5: Pep talk from Jessica’s corner, looks like she’s still trying to win despite being battered by Nathalie three rounds in a row. Jessica staying defensive at the start of the round, not moving from the ropes while Nathalie continues her tactic of aggression. Nathalie practically lunging herself at Jessica who barely dodges her but still manages. Nathalie looks like she’s lost track of Jessica but gets a reminder with a hook to the ribs followed by an uppercut sending Nathalie to the corner. Jessica spares no expense fighting fire with fire damaging Nathalie’s ribs as she did hers and upping the hurt on that eye. Nathalie seems to be perfectly stuck. Jessica using that to her full advantage not stopping the barrage of punches for a second, battering Nathalie everywhere she could. With a few seconds left on the clock, Jessica finishes the round with some hooks going all across Nathalie’s face making her bleed all over her cleavage.

Round 6: Jessica took Nathalie by storm in round five turning things around and rewarding her with a few cuts on her face. Nathalie is more cautious going into the sixth but also unsure how to approach Jessica now that she’s figured her out. While she’s busy making her mind up Jessica wakes her up with a few jabs which she didn’t even see coming. Jessica moves in with the same combo landing some more jabs of Nathalie’s face but the takes some this time around. Girls slow and steady circling the ring not knowing whether to strike or not. Jessica dancing around moving left and right, Nathalie unsure where she’s coming from until she does. By the time Nathalie raises her hands to protect her face Jessica is already hurting her body. Girls back to circling but the time runs out before either one makes a more. A slow round won by Jessica making Nathalie worry out of her mind.

Round 7: Jessica got her second wind in rounds five and six meanwhile making Nathalie lose her mind. Nathalie left expressionless, but deep down she’s worried to make a move so Jessica does that for her. Jessica moves in with a slow jab to get Nathalie to dodge it making her wobble and move right into a hook of the cheek followed by another one from the other side. Nathalie finds herself on the ground for the first knockdown of the night but gets up at four. Jessica not taking any chances; she upping the hurt on Nathalie bombarding her with hooks from both sides making her knees buckle more with each hit. She knows Nathalie’s finished and she sends her to the ground with a stylish uppercut. She’s not getting up from that. …9 …10 You’re out!

After: A thrilled Jessica prances around the ring, winks and blows a kiss to her opponent, climbing ropes and pumping her fists into the air. Nathalie not sore about the defeat, but annoyed about the model’s general showoff nature. Eventually, she comes down from the ropes to give an interview:

“I didn’t really know what to expect, this was my first time in the ring aside from training and sparring within my stable. I feel like winning on your debut is a big accomplishment and you can only go up from there, which is my fullest intention.”
