Intro:
Kendall Jenner in the somewhat strange position for her now being the veteran against the young upstart, Kaia Gerber looking for her first marquee victory of her already rapidly growing career, is tonight when Kaia takes a giant leap forwards into the elite pecking order?

The build up to the fight saw most of the comments left to social media, videos of them training in the build up, with most of the comments seeming not to venomous from either woman, as clearly there is a level of respect between them, though still with a little bite behind their words.

In the final week before the fight, Kendall posted on her social media "I've been hitting the gym hard this past month since losing my title to Mary (Elizabeth Winstead) and come Friday night I will be ready for you Kaia, I looked up to your mother when I was growing up, seeing Cindy (Crawford) in magazines and watching her in the ring was amazing, to be clear though I won't be using kid gloves on you Kaia, I've watched and been impressed with you but once that bell rings it's survival of the fittest, you ain't strong enough to last the distance" sternly making her point to the youngster.

Who replied "that's cute Kendall and all, I also looked up to my mother, she was my role model and now I have her guidance in training, so while you have done great in your career, future Hall of Famer, I am not just going into our fight to learn from you, I'll be right in your face from round one till I see you laying on the canvas, this might be the start of a long rivalry or maybe the first of me whooping your ass" Kaia certainly not afraid of the challenge ahead seemingly, as both fighters fans were buzzing with comments of support for their fighter.

Fight night in the packed FCBA Arena, out through the curtain comes Kendall first with her coach Alessandra Ambrosio and cut woman Eva Carneiro, she struts down the aisle with a smile, not looking the least bit worried about this fight, she soon steps into the ring wearing a white sports bra with a black ace badge on the left bra cup, white trunks with three thin black stripes down the sides, matching shoes, black gloves, hair in a ponytail as she poses arms in the air enjoying the cheers from her fans.

Here comes Kaia shoving through the curtain looking focused as she struts like she is on the catwalk to the ring, her mother Cindy working her corner as always, looking proud of her daughter as they get nearer the ring, Kaia climbs through the ropes into the ring wearing a red sports bra with black trim, matching trunks and shoes, black gloves, her hair also in a ponytail, she dances on her toes staring right at Kendall.

When they are brought together by the referee to the center of the ring, Kaia gets right into Kendall's face, with the former champion pressing right back into her, referee needing to nudge them apart as the fighters talk away, Kendall telling Kaia "nice to see you have some fight, will make it all the sweeter seeing you mom drag you out of here" while Kaia fires back "you're going down bytch" thudding her gloves together in a warning to Kendall, when told to touch gloves they thud their set into their opponent's, Kendall nodding to Kaia before they jog to their corners, both have their fists raised as the bell rings to start 10 rounds of lightweight action.

Round 1:
Both fighters very similar in stance as they come out to fight, up on their toes trading stiff single shots to start, Kaia looking the more keen to engage as she keeps swinging in hooks early on that just fall short, maybe Kendall's words have fired her up a little too much as Kendall is landing some nice counter punches to her face.

A double jab lands to the abs of Kendall after the opening minute, Kaia showing that she isn't afraid of the former champion as she steps inside to land a three punch combo to the face of her opponent that pushes Kendall back, Cindy cheering on her daughter when she sees her on top.

Back comes Kendall though with a little nudge with her left creating a hap between them, a right smacks across the cheek of the younger fighter, with a one-two following up to snap her head back, now it's Kendall pressing forwards as she claims the center for herself, Kaia showing grit to fire her own combos back at Kendall, she isn't landing with as much success as Jenner is.

With the final moments of the round seeing a double jab smack Kaia onto her lips, followed by a right cross to turn her head to the side, Gerber covering up as seconds tick away till the bell rings to end the round, Kendall laying an early marker here for her young opponent to try to follow, Cindy telling her daughter it's OK, that she'll get Kendall soon enough.

Round 2:
Again both start off on the move with their jabs, trying to get that range sorted out as they rifle punches into any gaps in guards they see, Kaia showing more success as she plugs in more body shots, though Kendall slams in several hard cross punches up top to try to dissuade her.

After an evenly fought opening minute; Kaia feints with a straight, dipping under a counter right that finds air, she slams in a left to the abs of her opponent, then an overhand right hits Kendall on the cheek to show her the quality of Gerber, who is landing more now she has Kendall on the back foot.

Kendall tightening her guard as Kaia is letting her fists do her talking, jamming them into the body of Kendall, swinging some hard hooks up top that don't land often, they are keeping Kendall under wraps as she is stuck near the ropes, having to land single punches in return.

A missed right cross from Kendall leads to her taking a short left cross onto her ear, an uppercut then knocks her onto the ropes as the Gerber supporters roar, seeing her throwing piston like shots at Jenner as she shells up on the ropes, the bell rings to end the round with Kaia showing she is here to win alright, Cindy smiling as she returns to her corner.

Round 3:
Both now know what the other can do start to move up a gear, more head movement along with trading combinations, again it's a closely fought start to the round as they are so similar, Kaia showing so far she has many of the same attributes as Kendall does with good footwork and fast hands.

Kendall has experience on her side though, as shown as she backs up to dodge a left cross then quickly pivots back in with a jab/right cross combo to smack into the face of Kaia, then she shows some muscle to push back her opponent with her left forearm to the chest, landing two short rights around her guard as she drives her into the ropes.

Pushing back Kendall, Kaia steps in ready to slug it out but Kendall holds her, making Gerber look annoyed as she tries to break free, instead the referee needing to split them up, with Kendall quick off the mark when they resume with a one-two flush into the GBS fighters face.

Kaia is still landing some good shots but they aren't consistently coming as Kendall keeps switching things up, aiming for Kaia's chest with jabs one minute, then moving back to counter punch when a riled up Kaia comes at her, as the bell rings Kaia is stewing on her return to her corner, Cindy talking to her frankly that she needs to earn the respect of Kendall here.

Round 4:
Kaia comes out looking to engage a little more on the inside, throwing in uppercuts as she tries to get the attention of Kendall, who dances back to throw defensive jabs in return, both women staring hard behind their gloves at their opponent, tension clear to see between them as they box around the ring.

The veteran makes a little mistake herself after the opening forty seconds, Kendall not realising that Kaia has begun to cut off the ring till she is rushed into a neutral corner to a loud roar from the crowd, Kaia plugging in short digging punches to the body as Kendall grits her mouthpiece, grabbing onto Kaia as the fighters grind foreheads together, no words exchanged but the looks they are giving each other show that neither is loving their opponent right now.

Broken apart so they can fight on, Kendall comes back at Kaia with a flush double jab, trying to back off the youngster, missing with a right cross as Gerber dips under it to land an overhand left to her cheek, followed by an uppercut to knock back the head of Jenner to the delight of Cindy.

Around the outside part of the ring Kendall is being forced to fight from, Kaia looking great now as she is picking her punches, showing off some elite class here as she peppers the former champions body with short digging punches, taking a few in return to her face, Kendall though not looking as keen to trade with Gerber.

At the end of the round Kaia raises her arms in the air with a "woo!" Right in the face of her opponent, Kendall scowls at her as they chest up, referee needing to break them up as tempers are starting to show themselves, Cindy all smiles when her daughter returns, praising her work as Kaia smiles back, in the opposite corner Alessandra asking Kendall if she is taking this fight lightly, with Kendall shaking her head no in reply.

Round 5:
Coming out looking to earn their opponent's respect it seems as both are stepping in more with their punches, Kendall tries to land a hard straight, KAIA SLIPS IT THEN LANDS AN UPPERCUT THAT KNOCKS KENDALL BACK A STEP, A SHORT LEFT HOOK SENDS KENDALL DOWN TO HER LEFT SIDE!

A look of shock crosses the Girls Friday crews faces as they see Kendall downed and Kaia winking to the crowd as she heads to the neutral corner, 1...2...3... Kendall shakes her head of cobwebs as she sits up, rubbing her chin as she watches the count, 4....5.....6... Pushing up to her knees, 7....8... Kendall beats the count with her fists raised, nodding that she wants to fight on.

Back at it go the fighters as Kendall tries to get back at Kaia, showing some frustration herself as she misses with her power punches, Gerber now the one in control as she lands digging punches back into the chest of Kendall, landing hard overhand punches that are forcing Kendall to back off.

Needing to clinch up with Kaia when she is forced into a neutral corner, Kendall looks flustered right now, if she did really take Kaia lightly, it is biting her square in her ass right now, once broken apart Kendall is boxing off the back foot in the remaining forty five seconds of the round, Kaia looking keen to engage, getting caught a few times coming in with straight punches to her face.

The bell rings to end the round with a loud Kaia chant breaking out, Kendall shaking her head in disbelief as she returns to her stool, Alessandra giving her a frank talk now about needing to get her head out her backside and take the fight back to Kaia, who is sitting on her stool looking ready for more action as her toes are tapping and eyes are firmly locked onto Kendall.

Round 6:
Off the blocks comes Kaia looking to end the fight now, Kendall definitely boxing more defensively now as she jabs and moves, keeping her guard tight as Kaia is throwing some flurries early on, some punches landing flush, while others hit the guard of Jenner to bounce off harmlessly.

After forty five seconds of being pushed around, a missed right cross leaves Kaia open to a jab/uppercut combo, Kendall knocking back her opponent to her heels now as she starts to throw some more heavy leather, looking to get back into this fight after that sudden knockdown.

Kaia gets knocked back towards the ropes, where now she has to clinch up with Kendall, both women starting to get some swelling around their cheeks, grappling along the ropes as the referee has to pull them apart with a struggle, when they resume again it is Gerber this time off the mark quicker with a one-two into the lips of Jenner.

Momentum swinging around again as Kendall finds herself knocked onto the ropes, a mouse forming under her right eye from a left hook, she grabs onto the right arm of Kaia to slow her down as she uses her right to dig into the side of Kaia's head, referee breaking them up warning Kendall to keep it clean.

Final moments sees Kaia still pushing the pace, missing with some big shots as Kendall moves out the way before landing counter punches into the jaw of her opponent, at the bell it's close to call who won the round as they jog past each other to their corners, coaches wiping them down as the fighters lock eyes across the ring.

Round 7:
Trading stiff single shots as they plant their feet more, each trying to hurt their opponent as they don't seem to want to go to the judges, Kaia swings in a right hook that only finds air, Kendall sidesteps to the right of her opponent, landing a left across the temple of Kaia, who wobbles a step to the side with Kendall's eyes lighting up.

A flurry of punches comes Kaia's way as Cindy yells at her to cover up, piston like punches are rocking her back towards her own corner, Kaia tries to grab onto Kendall, A DOUBLE JAB STOPS HER IN HER TRACKS, THEN A RIGHT HOOK LANDS ON THE CHIN OF KAIA TO SEND HER SPRAWLING DOWN ONTO HER RIGHT SIDE!

Kendall jogs over to the neutral corner leaving against the turnbuckles, 1...2...3... Kaia is blinking on her side, looking glassy eyed as Cindy bangs on the apron to try to get her to stand up, 4....5.....6.. Kaia turns to her front trying to get up, 7...8... She falls back onto her front when she tries to get up, head clearly still foggy, 9...10 that's it! Kaia has been counted out!

Winner Kendall Jenner KO Round 7

After:
Kaia is still searching for that marque victory but she just fell short, Kendall raising her arms in the air covered in sweat, she definitely got a workout as sweat drips off her hair and body, Alessandra and Eva standing in the ring applauding her as she smiles back at them nodding.

Once back in her corner Kendall looks relieved to have come out on top, Alessandra patting her on her shoulder as she tells her "that's why you are at the top and she has to crawl her way past you" Kendall replying "she nearly did" with both nodding to each other.

Meanwhile Kaia is being seen to by Cindy, who checks her over as Kaia is helped to sit up, tears running down the face of Kaia as frustration boils over, telling her mother "I f**king had her and threw it away" shaking her head, Cindy replies "Rome wasn't built in a day honey, you took Kendall to the edge, learn from this and you will whoop her ass time and again from now on" hugging Kaia, consoling her daughter after this bitter defeat.

When Kaia wants to leave the ring, over comes Kendall to check on her and tells Kaia "I expect to see you across from me again before long, can't have you thinking you can beat me" winking as she pats Kaia on the back, Kaia nodding in reply but sternly looking back at Kendall, not in the mood for jokes it seems, even if they are done to show some respect.

With help from Cindy, Kaia is now out the ring heading to the back, already nearly twenty fights in at the tender age of twenty, she is another top prospect in a stable full of them, once she gets that first top twenty fighter on her record it feels like she will run rampant on the division.

In the ring Kendall finally gets her left arm raised by the referee to make the result official, blowing a kiss with her right to her fans, Kendall certainly is a lot more happier tonight then last month when she lost her FCBA lightweight championship, posing for the cameras with her coach and cut woman beside her, Kendall is beaming as she flexes her arms.

Stepping out the ring not long after, just under twenty fights to go before she is a possible Hall of Famer, is that where Kendall looks to go next or is it all about getting the title back, time will tell as Kendall heads to the back, more interested in an ice bath and early night by the looks of it while chatting to her crew.
