Before:

National bragging rights are on the line as Ming Xi and Sui He meet in the ring. The two met in the BBU in 2017 and Ming won their first bout, but her bragging rights as top Chinese celebrity boxer are on the line tonight. Sui He comes off of two straight wins, and she is determined to make it a third.

“Ming’s best days are behind her.” Sui declares. “I’m going to show why I am the face of Chinese celebrity boxing.”

Ming laughs, “Sui hasn’t even fought a fight past five rounds. Last time we fought I took her down in five. She is not going to win tonight.”

The two girls glare at each other before leaving the press conference.


Sui is the first girl to make her way to the ring, the model wearing a silver sports bra and matching trunks with blue gloves. He paces around the ring as Xi pauses an extra moment before entering. Ming steps out in a white sports bra with black spandex bottoms and black gloves. The two girls lock eyes and don’t break eye contact until the referee steps between them. The ref gives the two girls their final instructions, then calls for the bell.



Round 1:

The two Chinese models charge out of their corners and go right for their opponent. Ming dodges Sui’s opening strike and snaps back the younger model’s head with a right before following up with a left to her body. He stumbles backwards and on comes Xi, pounding rights and lefts into the less experienced fighter’s body. Sui plants her feet and connects with a right left combo that buys her space, and darts away from Ming. The two models begin to circle each other, each taking their turn jabbing and defending. Sui lands a right that has Ming retreat, but Xi plants her feet and drills He with a left into her chin. He wobbles backwards and Xi pounces, hitting rights and lefts into her fellow countrywoman’s body. Sui clinches to force a break as time expires, and the first round goes to the more experienced Ming.


Round 2:

Sui more cautious to start the second, putting up her defence and letting Ming commit to her blows before countering. Xi goes for a one-two jab combo that lands square into He’s gloves, and Sui goes for the counter, driving a quick right into Ming’s nose, knocking her foe backwards. Sui hammers a right into Ming’s chest before returning her focus to Ming’s head, trying to overpower her guard. The more experienced girl takes advantage of the less experienced fighter and drills Sui in her face with a right, knocking her backwards. Ming steps forward and winds up for a left but Sui buries a right into Ming’s face, stopping the taller girl in her tracks. He goes body and works over Xi’s body, learning from her mistake, but the bell rings.


Round 3:

The two girls start circling to start the third round, and Ming works her jab early. Xi coaxes He back around the ring, the more experienced girl showing off her stuff. Ming puts on a clinic of precise jabs that keep Sui on her heels. He takes a step backward and plants her feet before driving a right into Xi’s torso, but the more experienced girl has already shifted and tags the younger fighter with a right. Sui backs into the ropes and Ming goes for two blows into her opponent’s body. He winces before popping a short right into Xi’s face, letting her escape from the ropes. Ming chases after Sui, but Sui starts to find her jab and Ming has to back off. Sui does not chase after Ming, and the two girls circle to the bell.


Round 4:

Xi picks up with her aggression early, drilling He with a left early. Ming follows up with a left into Sui’s body before clipping her chin with a right. Sui’s corner yells at her to fight back and the model swings wildly at Ming and connects with her foe’s jaw. Ming is stunned by the blow and Sui goes body, bringing the more experienced fighter back to reality. He finds a left to Xi’s face, but Ming blocks the follow-up and drills the less experienced girl in her nose. Sui staggers backwards as Ming steps up and peppers every inch of legal flesh of the smaller girl except her head. Sui keeps her guard up and finds the occasional counter, keeping Ming at bay until the bell ends the round.


Round 5:

Both models still charge out of their corners to start the fifth round and Ming goes back to her jab early, tagging Sui with right and left strikes. He backing up and planting her feet before connecting with a left to Xi’s ribs. Ming returns fire with a right to Sui’s torso, but the smaller girl connects with a hammer blow to Ming’s head and works her back into the center of the ring. He closes distance and works Xi’s body over from close range. Ming keeps her gloves up and trades blows back on to Sui’s body before driving a right at Sui’s head. He moves out of the way and pops two quick rights into Xi’s mouth, opening her top lip and working her back. The bell rings and the fifth goes to Sui on points, close.


Round 6:

Xi and He enter the back half of the fight and do not waste any time trading blows. The two girls hammer rights and lefts into the other girl’s body and Sui starts working Ming back. Xi clinches to force a break, then goes for a right jab that connects with Sui’s mouth at the restart. Ming goes for the follow-up haymaker, but nobody is home and Sui feeds leather into Ming’s mouth! Xi’s lip opens up again and a trickle of blood makes its way down her mouth. Ming feints right and Sui connects with a left hook and Ming nearly goes down! Xi’s legs buckle and He drives one, two, three straights into the stunned model’s face and down goes Ming! It’s a knockdown for Sui as she leaves to the corner. The ref starts counting and Ming has a blank expression on her face as she is on all fours. She reaches for the ropes – but can’t pulls herself up by the time the ref hits ten! Your winner by an upset KO6, Sui He!


After:

The crowd roars as the upset is announced and Sui sheds her gloves, dropping them by Ming’s head on her way back to her corner. Medics flood the ring to tend to Xi and stop the bleeding from her lip. Sui parades around the ring, securing her third straight victory and emerging from the fight with a record of over 500. He mounts the ringpost and blows kisses to the crowd, the model taking in the limelight as she gets her revenge for losing to Ming four years ago. The two may be tied 1-1, but Sui has the more recent win and that is the talk of the FCBA.
