Kim Cloutier vs Joy Corrigan
(Fighting Models Franchise vs Lioness Club)
(1-1, 1 KO vs 12-4, 12 KO)
Results: Lookout!; Story: Vassago

BEFORE: Canadian model Kim Cloutier celebrated a successful debut with the new stable knocking out veteran Joanne Kelly in five but she faces a slightly tougher test tonight as Lioness Club's Joy Corrigan vows to beat her up in ruthless fashion! Competition is always intense in the modelling universe and whenever a new girl joins the fray, she becomes instant enemy of her fellow peers. There is simply no love lost here and Joy raises the feuding factor almost by default as she tries to elbow herself among some of the more established names in business. She can't rely on these freebie Victoria's Secret events to build her stock so she has to earn the respect the hard way.

Kim Cloutier wears a red bikini set & white gloves. Long light brown hair tied in a sleek ponytail. Joy Corrigan wears a black bikini set & yellow gloves. Long blonde hair tied in a sleek ponytail. The fight is scheduled for ten rounds in the lightweight division.

Round 1:
Everyone expects Joy to make the power move at the start but it's Kim who clobbers the blonde straight up the middle and sets an evil jabbing tone blasting the fellow model from both flanks. Woof! Joy is slow to react to the high-octane action and gets bounced around the area before slumping on her heels as Cloutier blows more crisp shots into her face! Payback time! Or not... Joy's intended response bounces off the brunette's forearms and leaves her exposed to more nasty hits over the top which drop her into hectic retreat come the final minute. Kim stays in the slugging lane and thumps the reeling American onto the ropes where she adds more quick hits to the body that force Corrigan into seeking a clinch outright. She limits the damage alright but has to embrace a lenghty cheeky stare from the dominant Canadian at the bell.

Rounds 2 & 3:
Joy gets back at the brunette through messy phone booth action during the next couple of rounds. Cloutier can't stretch her elbows and deliver the power supply while Corrigan bangs away at her midsection before working the uppercut drill to punish the brunette's chin. Kim tries to gain that mid-distance separation but ends up hugging the ropes as the blonde's slugging approach proves superior and Joy really doesn't care much about her defense; she plows ahead against the puristic odds and cashes in with more head shots with Cloutier neutralized behind a tight earmuff in the final minute of both rounds. FMF trainer Shannon Elizabeth has to react on the fly and let's hope she watched enough tape to realize that outslugging Corrigan is basically the only safe way to beat her! Kim gives the blonde another staredown at the bell but doesn't look so imposing anymore.

Round 4:
Kim storms into a jabbing contention and lands a nasty left/right combo on the nose to wobble Corrigan onto her heels before busting her in the jugs with a hard right hand. Ugh! Joy tries to avoid getting trapped on the ropes but the defensive waltz doesn't really suit her style as Kim outworks her in the desired mid-distance during the round instead. Lioness trainer Claudia Schiffer keeps her composure even with Joy opting for the high-risk approach; she tries to smack some leather into the Canadian's midriff alas the older model keeps her honest blowing quick overhands on the face that leave a couple of bruises come the final minute. Cloutier's quick delivery allows her to remain ahead of the sticks while Corrigan loses her patience after several misfired efforts and she barks in anger at the bell with the cards all tied at 38.

Round 5:
Joy beats Kim for the initial punch and finally gets to dig some leather into her face before crippling the older model with a proper harpoon to the body. Kim bends forward and bumps her chin off the blonde's shoulder which allows Corrigan to lock her into a gut-checking haze that drains the energy out of the dark-haired woman. Ugh! Kim has to bail out into safety but eats another uppercut double and slumps on the ropes where Joy hits the turbo button and pummels the otherwise toned abs until she has the Canuck scowling in pain! Uh-oh!!! Cloutier appears to be hurt and she soaks up another brutal assault downstairs before bellowing out on top of the ropes with her eyes closed. Joy barks in her efforts to chop the brunette down for the count but runs out of steam at the last second and only belts Kim on the breasts which still makes the crowd roar in delight! Kim survives the onslaught on jelly legs and one can only wonder if she recovers from this going forward?

Round 6:
Joy makes sure Kim doesn't recover and hauls in a speedy blast over the top that glues the Canadian to the spot. The high-guard collapses upon impact and leaves Corrigan landing unanswered punishment into the brunette's face who duly gives up the ghost within seconds of the bell. The shear work rate does the trick and the last punch slams the ailing Cloutier on the ear. DOWN SHE GOES!!! Joy knows it's all over and the ref waves off the count at six with Cloutier laid out in dead meat fashion. KO6 Joy Corrigan!!!

AFTER: Never bet against the old school slugging tactics! Joy overcomes a couple of difficult rounds to deliver the punishing attack that broke Kim's resistance in the fifth round. FMF would be better off calling it quits between the rounds as the Canadian never recovered to make it a competitive fight in the sixth anymore. However the new stable also has to learn some lessons the hard way and coach Shannon Elizabeth didn't make the correct business decision in the end.

Official Result: Joy Corrigan def. Kim Cloutier KO6.
