Emma Watson vs Katherine McNamara (AMD)

BEFORE:
With this next fight, Emma Watson hopes to get back to her winning ways, having first beaten Kat McNamara back in 2019 but most recently suffering a string of less-than-desirable losses.

“Hmph. Remember when everyone underestimated me before? Well, they’re doing it again. Just because I lost to Nell and Avril doesn’t mean I’m to be counted out like a freakin’ nobody. Kat knew that two years ago when I beat her so badly, the referee had to save her arse. Tonight, we’ll see the same result.”

Katherine, on the other hand, has had a mixed year thus far, wowing the universe with a win over Natalie Portman but then followed that up with multiple losses to Olivia Holt and the champion herself, Vanessa Hudgens.

“Emma got me good two years ago, but that was two freakin’ years ago. I’d only just joined Fates and was still finding firm ground. Since then, I’ve made a lot of noise, so I’m definitely confident in my ability to rebound.”

Ladies square off in the center of the ring, with McNamara recently gone full sunshine blonde and looking fit as a fiddle in a red sports bra and white boxing trunks. Her fists are tapped white on either hand. Emma, on the other hand, has gone for dark and brooding, her dark brown hair tied up in a battle bun, the rest of her frame decked in a white sports bra and denim shorts, and black wraps over her knuckles.

Referee calls this next match to order, and with a wave of his hand, HERE WE GO with ten rounds of AMD action!

ROUND 1:
AMD rules and though Emma has had some experience before under these conditions, we’d say both fighters move out of their corners and circle with some hesitation. For those who aren’t familiar, points are only scored to the body, and though both ladies are free to deliver punches to the face, those attacks are usually only done for flavour or, in most other cases, out of spite. Not here, with Em and Kat jabbing at each other’s chest and body, keeping their guards low but even then finding it difficult to cover such a wide area from chest to pelvis. Kat scores first, testing out her combos with left-left-right hands sailing in in a wild manner to stress-test Emma’s defences. Watson grunting as she takes a couple through her arms, but then retaliates down the line with some crisp combos of her own which slam into McNamara’s breasts and tummy. Overall, an underwhelming round for either side, though it’s clear both girls are still warming up.

ROUND 2:
Slightly more two-way action after both ladies pick up the early pace, sailing in and immediately firing off combos to the arms, not caring too much about whether the punches actually land. That’s actually one of the more viable strategies in the AMD circuit: going after your opponent’s arms to the point where their guard gets broken from all the abuse. Kat is the first one to actually go for the head this time, landing a wild hook of the chin, which draws a gasp from Watson’s lips as her head gets turned to one side. Chaotic melee erupts in the center as Emma immediate swings back in both directions, both ladies scoring punishment to the face but then suddenly remembering the rules dipping low to chug shots off the side tummy and arms. Close round overall when the bell rings, though we suspect Watson took it close.

ROUND 3:
Katherine’s doing a fine job mixing up her attacks this time, going up high to slam the odd jab into Emma’s nose just to keep the Vixen on her toes, before lunging inwards with more combinations to whap knuckles to her toned tummy. Watson gets driven backwards this way, grunting as her chin gets grazed by another overhand shot before her chest explodes in pain when McNamara lands another stiff follow-up right to one other breast. Emma’s forced towards the ropes, suddenly breathing hard. She tries to keep her marbles by moving a little more often, her right jab constantly flicking at Kat to keep her at bay for the rest of the round.

ROUND 4:
Emma’s counter-punching skills on display this time as she skirts the ropes and keeps that right hand extended as much as possible. It’s the Vixen’s turnt to pay the blonde back with jabs packed into her cheek, making Kat wince over and over again. Not scoring any points, of course, but to Watson, damage is damage, and she follows that up with low whacking fists off McNamara’s tummy and ribs when the blonde ain’t paying attention. Katherine gets a dose of her own medicine this round as she focuses on blocking the strikes to her face but can’t help but grunt and tremble when Watson nails her with a cross down the middle and into her stomach. Wide smirk from Emma on her way back to her corner, and both ladies seem to be dead even in terms of points so far.

ROUND 5:
Girls get down close and dirty in the first minute, wading in first with their fists up in the air, then trading jabs to the chest and chin before Katherine suddenly gets tired of waiting and LUNGES inwards with an overhand swing! Emma barely manages to absorb it with her locked arms, taking a low swing to her body before the two ladies WRAP up with their fingers interlaced in each other’s hair! Reminiscent of a wrestling match indeed as they tie up for the messy clinch, ramming fists into the side of the face and the occasional slide into the ribs. But Emma is the one driving the once-redhead backwards when a snap uppercut catches Kat on the chin, which dazzles her! Again, points not counted for that one, but f*ck if Watson cares, immediately rushing in after the wounded girl and slamming her fists into her body! Kat’s in trouble here, getting her butt driven into the ropes even as she’s bent over, arms trying to protect her body! Emma raps her with a nice hook to the cheek, however, and DOWN MCNAMARA GOES!! It’s an early KNOCKDOWN for Emma Watson!

Kat looks dazed on all fours, but takes the time to get back up. Emma, meanwhile, looks bright and eager to continue. Finally, there seems to be light at the end of the tunnel if the Vixen can win this bout and put a skid to her losing streak. Katherine not that hurt to the body just yet, however, shaking the pain from her jaw before steadying her footing by the count of 7! This fight crosses over into the second half!

ROUND 6:
Emma’s tactics may certainly be in question, but hey, they got the job done last round. Here, the Vixen goes back to targeting both the head and body in equal measure, sending her bare-knuckled fist into Kat’s nose in the opening seconds before swerving low with a left hook. But McNamara has other plans, having gotten a good idea of Watson’s attack pattern by now, as she dips her shoulder low to intercept the hook to her body, WHAPS the British starlet’s head skywards with a sudden uppercut instead!! OUCH!! WATSON’S IN DEEP TROUBLE, stumbling back into the ropes, looking absolutely dazed and bedazzled by that one right hand! AND HERE COMES MCNAMARA, looking for payback!! The blonde LUNGES in with a crashing fist to the center of the arms, sending Emma reeling again into the ropes! Follow-up BLAST across the face whips her face to the side, before the Fates starlet GOES TO WORK on her body! Kat just MUSCLING herself in, shoving those wayward arms out of the way before DRIVING her fists into the stomach and up into the poor girl’s chest! Emma’s getting folded in half with her back to the ropes, lips parted and one hand barely clinging onto Kat’s shoulder as her body gets ravaged! Katherine treats her foe to another snap uppercut to the chin, before a similar hook across the face SENDS EMMA SPINNING DOWN to the canvas! It’s a return KNOCKDOWN for Kat McNamara! This time, Emma’s left choking on all fours, trying to push back up but coughing violently at the body abuse! She’s still hugging her body as the referee counts her out at 10! This match is over!!

Official Decision: Katherine McNamara defeats Emma Watson via KO6!

AFTER:
AMD ensues! McNamara not the kind who abuses her opponents in the post-fight, so she makes short work of her rival: both hands buried in her hair as she hauls the beaten Brit back up to her knees, allows Emma’s stunned face to rest on her breathing, sore tummy, as the Fates superstar poses proudly for the cameras!

Things are NOT looking good for Miss Watson, who takes her losing tally up another notch to three-in-a-row! Can she salvage this fledgling career of hers?!
