BEFORE: Swedish actress Helena Mattsson brings her eight fight winning streak to the PPV and openly claims she wants to earn another shot at the lightweight straps later this summer! She bets on Valentina Fradegrada getting the better of Holly Peers next month and headlines a back-to-back showdown against Italian-based opposition. First up is Belen Rodriguez who fell to Fradegrada back in March and serves as the perfect opponent to emerge on the IBB fighter's radar sooner rather than later! The only problem is Helena hasn't fought since January 2020 and might be too rusty to match her championship ambitions. BBU TV's Denise van Outen believes the Scandinavian stunner should have picked an easier opponent for her comeback and Belen nursing a four fight losing streak is extremely deceiving for lack of a better word.

Round 1:
Belen believes the blonde would be slow to get off the mark and tries to land an early combo up the middle but the Swedish actress responds with a looping counter blast and smacks the brunette across the mouth which triggers a hectic back & forth exchange in the center of the ring. Both women show plenty of desire but also lack precision and swing through mid-air before Helena scores a nasty double on the chin forcing the Argentine model away. Belen tries to regain the slugging stance but Mattsson's high-octane effort knocks her all the way onto the ropes where the blonde picks her off with more head shots on target. Ugh! Belen has to apply the earmuff cover to avoid physical damage and lets Helena gain more confidence with this one-sided power assault.

Round 2: 
Belen comes back to smack the blonde between the guard and this time the back & forth exchange profits the Argentine showgirl who hauls in a vicious series on each temple before thumping the Swedish woman on the nose. Helena thinks better off and is able to display supreme mobility to escape the immediate swarming heat but Rodriguez stays on course to pound the reeling opponent onto the ropes. Mattsson tries to put the counter-punching roadblock into effect but she lacks the power supply to match the charging Belen this time and remains trapped on the ropes for remainder of the round.

Round 3:
More of the same in the third, Belen comes out on top of the initial head-hunting barrage and pummels the Swedish foe back to the ropes where she keeps her in slugging check. Helena bounces off the model's forearms too often to make a difference and eats a vicious stinger under the left eye that cuts her up and drops her behind immediate earmuff. Woof! That's exactly what the Rodriguez fans wanted to see as the lanky brunette is able to smash through a seemingly aching opponent and she does her best to inflict as much damage as possible as she lays it into Mattsson's flesh tearing up the earmuff cover come the final stretch. Helena gets spun sideways against the turnbuckle and is basically rescued by the bell at the last moment.

Round 4:
Some worried looks in the Lookout! Atlantic corner as Helena has to mount quick response before Belen builds a significant lead on the cards. She opens up from both flanks and beats the brunette to the punch which still triggers another hectic head-hunting dust up that seemingly benfits the Argentine showgirl until Helena nails her with a hard right hand on the ear and spins back onto the ropes. Woof! That's more like it for the Swedish babe who charges with a power double but then settles to punish her opponent's breasts and Belen wasn't quite ready for that switch! She slumps into loud spasms as Mattsson lays down the jug muggin' heat before another quick left/right combo catches the showgirl on the chin right at the bell.

Round 5:
Belen seeks the slugging redemption and forces another aggressive clash in the center of the ring. Huh! One might argue Valentina Fradegrada didn't really throw the lanky model off her contender's chair after all and Helena gets stunned by a vicious double on the chin before Rodriguez slams a drilling hook on the solar plexus that slumps the blonde into spasms. Helena doesn't quite have the speed to outwork the mode anymore and gets swiftly pounded back to the ropes where Belen ups the ante and finds more success slicing the leaky high-guard. She drops a left/right combo to lower the arms but then bursts into the blonde's navel and digs an extra elbow on the boobs. Helena goes all sideways on impact and HAS TO TAKE A KNEE in order to stop the looming disaster. Ugh! Belen shouts something in Italian and Spanish while the Swedish actress delays the count until eight and spends the final stretch wheeling away in defensive fashion. She avoids making eye contact with the gloating rival at the bell and it's advantage Belen at half-distance.

Round 6:
Belen seeks the finishing touches but bounces off the top of Helena's forehead and gets dragged into a phone booth tangle where the Swede punishes her around the elbows and refuses to back off anymore. Belen's coach Martina Colombari is unsure what is that all about but it soon becomes clear Mattsson escaped damage in that prevous round and has found a second life instead. The jabbing dispute remains even but Helena flicks a better overhand series thereafter and knocks the model's head back before gradually backing her onto the ropes come the final minute. Belen loses her temper and drives a low shot below the waist line while Helena smacks her across the mouth and tears a small gash under the left eye with another hooking charge in the dying seconds of the round as well.

Round 7:
Rodriguez wants to add more slugging pressure but gets caught out by another wild overhand and develops a nasty swelling under the left eye before Helena punks her with a hooking double on each temple. Belen still has the lead on the cards but she refuses to sit on that one and tries to knock the blonde out... and she catches another hard right on the ear which allows the Swedish woman to hammer right trough her leaky guard thereafter. Belen tries to outslug the blonde but only eats more brutal punches and Mattsson finally breaks her resilience when she lands a hard right on the chin again. Ugh! BELEN HAS TO TAKE A KNEE herself! No more screams from the Italian corner as Belen appears to be stunned by the blonde's resilience. She gets up at eight but doesn't have the speed nor the clock to pull off a Mattsson-like escape. She gets thumped with more supreme leather as Helena simply bashes her over to the turnbuckle and shatters the high-guard to render the TV showgirl numb. Oi, Belen! Arms go south and Helena stuns the ailing woman with another ruthless double on each temple before the REF JUMPS IN TO STOP THE CONTEST!!! TKO7 Helena Mattsson in come-from-behind fashion!!!

AFTER: Many shocked faces around the area as Helena Mattsson secures a winning comeback and indicates she wants another crack at the lightweight straps! She examines the swelling under the left eye and laughs it off before taking over the mic: "Look, I know it's a new ball game and Holly Peers booked her title defense against Vanny Fradegrada but I'm gonna see what happens out there. BBU needs supreme blondes and I'm ready to fill the demand. Just in case anyone has doubts whether I still have it - as if beating Belen wasn't enough - I'm gonna fight Elisabetta Gregoraci at the June PPV. The contract has been signed already and we're ready to roll. I've spend too much time away from the ring to wait for the door to open... I'm gonna kick it wide open myself!"
