Intro:
Battle between the ACB and BBU fighters here, Kooyong Stadium gets to see the beautiful Renee Herbert and India Reynolds fight, Renee hoping fighting in front of her fellow country men and women will help her get back on track, the undefeated India meanwhile hoping to keep on course for a title shot.

Heading into the bout Green & Gold Magazines Sarah Cummings was able to get a few words from Renee, who had finished an opening workout for the media by sparring with her sister the ACB bantamweight champion Elisha, both siblings hugging before Renee was giving the chance to speak to Sarah at ringside as Elisha let's her have the spotlight.

Renee is asked how confident she feels going into this fight after her defeat to Tahan Lew-Fatt in her last bout, Renee grits her teeth at the mention of Tehan, she answers "well Summer, I am feeling great, as you see I have the best sparring partner any fighter could have, people like you in the media may not believe in me but f**k.. I will be a champion someday" showing she is annoyed already, Summer looking a little sheepish.

But the interviewer stays the course as she asks Renee about her opponent, rolling her eyes before she replies, Renee says "look India is just some slapper on page three right, I wouldn't ever need to bare my tits in a newspaper, I have what you call talent, hell she has beaten nobody in the ring of note, which if that doesn't sum her up I don't know what will, don't worry I am knocking her out" Summer nods as Renee just stares at her hard, then the model doesn't even bother saying goodbye, just walks away to go talk to her sister as they both give the interviewer a funny look.

India doesn't bother with an interviews, just tweeting in the build up, her last message sees her posting "in Australia now, not too long and Renee will bow down to me as all my opponents have so far, hell maybe I should be fighting her sister Elisha, at least she knows how to actually win, though neither exactly match up to me do they?" Posting a picture to show what she means.


Fighting time, out first comes Renee to a loud cheer, she has Nicky Whelan behind her with her sister, Renee getting the spotlight as her supporters cheer her on, she blows a few kisses to the camera as she steps into the ring wearing an emerald green bikini, matching gloves and her hair is tied into a ponytail, she steps into the ring banging her gloves together, pacing side to side as she looks fired up.

India now walks to the ring with her coach/manager Samantha Fox, India grins as she stares at the ring, ignoring the boos aimed at her, she steps through the ropes wearing a black bikini with matching gloves, hair braided as she bounces on her toes, Samantha tapping her shoulders as she tells her she will win.

Fighters coming together at the center of the ring, eyes locked as they shake their arms to keep them loose, referee keeping close as both are scowling at each other, then they bump their gloves hard into their opponent's set, jogging back to their corners with both having their fists raised, the bell rings to start 10 rounds of bantamweight action.

Round 1:
Both stepping out their corners with venomous looks, starting off trading combos right away as they circle, India stabbing several into the chest of Renee, who growls out and tries to take off the head of the Love Island alumni with a left hook followed by a right that finds thin air, instead a double jab lands into her face after she overextends with her right.

India looking in more control at the moment, maybe the loss of her last fight along with her feelings towards India are playing on Renee's mind, when she throws a straight punch she is looking out, it's the wild swings that are the problem, leaving her open to picture perfect counters that snap her head back, giving the crowd something to worry about.

Final minute sees Renee get inside to work, both women slugging away at each others bodies, crowd getting fired up hearing the barks and grunts, the sound of leather landing flush till both clash heads, referee breaks them up and checks on them, final ten seconds after they are given the OK is a toe to toe battle, faces getting marked up already till the bell rings to end the round, solid start for India as she jogs back to her corner, Renee tapping her cheeks with her gloves as if to tell herself not to do that again.

Round 2:
Stepping back out their corners with as much energy as they did at the start, Renee is stepping in more behind her straight punches to add a bit extra power behind them, India still targeting the chest of the Aussie to try to get her to lose her temper in another evenly fought opener.

Into the second minute with Herbert stabbing in a jab to the lips of her opponent, she then lands a right cross to the cheek of Reynolds, turning her head as she starts to herd the page three model around the ring, India not looking so good on the outside, not landing as much flush now.

Pushing her way in closer, India lands two short hooks to the body, gets a clipping left hook onto her ear before they clinch up, India trying to power her opponent back to the ropes, instead they nearly trip up as the referee rushes to pull them apart, telling them to keep the action clean, as they resume it's another late toe to toe exchange that gets the crowd roaring up until the bell, Renee looking better this round as she kept her cool, India not looking too worried, sitting on her stool chatting away to Samantha.

Round 3:
Both are stepping in with their punches now, almost fencing with punches as they look to take control of the fight, heads getting knocked back when they land flush, some hitting their opponent's gloves, late in the first minute Renee takes a jab to her chest to land a right cross over the top to the jaw of the English fighter, turning her head before landing a jab square into her eye to make India cry out.

Not looking as confident now, India is covering up more tightly as Renee looks to pick her punches, looking a lot more focused then she did first stepping into the ring, still India lands a few crisp punches in reply to let Renee know she is there, it's just simply that Herbert is out working her around the ring.

Final minute sees India come more out her shell with a double jab landing on the lips of Renee, both body up for another round of testing each others torsos out, this time Renee moves back enough to land two right uppercuts into the face of India to make her retreat, driving her to a neutral corner in the dying moments of the round, the bell rings to maybe save India from taking a pounding there, now India looks a little worried, Samantha rubbing her arms when she comes back to her stool to keep her loose, Renee nodding to Nicky as she looks relaxed with the crowd firmly on her side.

Round 4:
Coming back to the center of the ring, both women still can't be separated in the early going, it's mistakes or one moment of quick thinking that is changing the course of rounds so far, this time India feints to go to the chest, stepping back when a left hook comes at her, then stepping in with a one-two combo that smacks Renee flush into her chin to make her retreat.

Using her left forearm into the chest of Renee, it looks like India wants to start roughing the crowd favourite up, getting booed as she bangs away at the body of Renee, who clips her in reply around the sides of her head before clinching up, both fighters are broken up with India banging her gloves together, looking keen to keep the heat on her rival.

More punches come flying through the others guards as they open up more, a mouse forming under the left eye of Reynolds, while Renee has a fat lip forming on her bottom one, sweat starting to fly off as they plant their feet to trade, then step back looking annoyed, India screaming "come on Aussie s**t! Bring it!" Renee scowling as she tries to wade in but takes the bait as a straight lands flush into her face for her troubles, followed by a left hook, the round soon comes to a close with India looking more assured of herself now as she returns to her stool, Renee needing to be told firmly by Nicky not to lose her cool so easily.

Round 5:
Landing more flush punches in these early exchanges, both fighters are hissing as they go for the old "best defence is an offense" tactics, India misses with a left cross as Renee leans back, a right cross lands in reply, smacking across that mouse on the English model's face to make her groan as she winces, a double jab follows into the left eye of Reynolds, who is having trouble now as her eye looks to be puffy.

Still India closes the distance to whack in two short rights to the body, Renee giving her a shove to the chest before landing a right cross to the cheek of her opponent, India getting caught more as Renee is starting to edge more towards the left of the English fighter, her vision looks a little impaired by the puffiness around her eye.

Less then thirty seconds to go, a right onto the jaw of Reynolds opens her up to a short left uppercut that pushes her to her heels, Renee's eyes are lighting up as she throws in a barrage of punches, not all land but the ones that do are driving back India to the ropes as the crowd is on its feet cheering, the round comes to an end with Renee marching back to her corner with both arms in the air, India meanwhile looks shell shocked, not used to being bullied around by an opponent, maybe the biggest gut check moment of her career so far.

Round 6:
Renee is like a sniper aiming for that swollen eye, India trying to slug her way out of trouble, instead she is missing as her accuracy goes down, sweat flying off the head of India as combinations start landing flush through her guard to rock her back, near the end of the opening minute, a right hook crashes onto her ear to wobble her to the ropes, A FOLLOW UP RIGHT HOOK SENDS INDIA DOWN TO HER RIGHT SIDE!

Crowd going wild as they stand to cheer their fighter, Renee tapping her gloves together as she jogs to the neutral corner, 1...2...3...4... India groans as her eyes are shut, 5...6...7.. Her left eye looks welded shut with the swelling as she turns to her back and looks at the lights with her good right eye, 8...9....10 it's over!

Winner Renee Herbert KO Round 6

After:
Great win for Renee as she takes the undefeated run of India and ends it in front of her fans, jogging over to India, Renee puts her right foot on the chest of the beaten woman, staring down at her as she says "just a common English tart aren't you?" Then poses with her arms flexed for cameras and the fans to remember this night.

Jogging back to her corner once she is happy she made her point, Elisha hugs Renee before Nicky taps her on her back for a job well done, Renee all smiles as she tells her sister how good it felt to put down India, Nicky telling her "see how good you can be when you use your head and not just try to brawl" making Renee nod, grinning as Elisha winks at her, maybe knowing it's a hard ask for the youngster to keep her cool.

While India has to be helped over to her stool by Samantha, the plan to show off India's talents on a world scale, it has back fired as she sobs after her first defeat, getting a taste of what a lot of fighters feel, Samantha needing to console her as she gives her a hug, telling her it will be OK as she'll come back stronger from this experience.

India stays seated as Renee goes up to the middle of the ring, getting her left hand raised in victory, India just shakes her head before she leaves with help from Sam, Renee mockingly waves her off with her tongue sticking out to a few chuckles from the crowd, then goes on a lap of honour to cheers from the crowd, it'll be a long flight home for India in more ways then one as she gets to stew on this defeat, while Renee looks back on track.
