BREC BASSINGER VS DOVE CAMERON HISC VS PLP STABLE WAR #5

Results: Lookout Writing: Archer

Brec: 22 YO, 5’2 (1.57 m), 11-7-0, 11 KO since 2019. Pretty Little Punchers

Dove: 25 YO, 5’2 (1.57 m), 12-13-0, 12 KO since 2014. Hawkeye International

Before: Here we go into the final and decisive bout of this Stable War. Sasha Pieterse’s win over Mish Williams has tied things up at 2-2. It will be PLP’s Brec Bassinger vs Dove Cameron, HISC’s rising star who will decide the issue. Brec’s 4-4 so far in 2021 with 2 of those wins over HISC veterans Natalie Portman and Michelle Williams. Now HISC sends out the red-hot Dove C who is on an 8 fight winning streak that began with her KO of Brec back the March HISC/PLP Stable War. Now Dove looks to be the Closer for the HISC team while Brec is hoping to make up for her previous loss to Dove.

“OK, Ok, so Dove knocked me out back in March. I can’t deny that, but I still say what I did then: I underestimated her. That won’t happen again, I need to redeem myself by winning this fight and the Stable War for the PLP—and I will!” Brec declares in the prefight press meeting.

Dove gives Brec a look of youthful disdain: “That whiny loser is still not recognizing the fact that since I came to HISC I have become a whole different fighter. Brec and those 7 other fighters I beat are just the first to taste my leather as they go down in defeat. Brec may been able to handle certain HISC fighters, but she has already shown she can’t handle ME! This fight is going to confirm that. ‘Big Mouth Bassinger’ is going down—HARD!”

“And I will turn out the lights on ‘Dim Bulb Dove’, get ready for it everyone!” Brec retorts.

Two fighters look daggers at one another before exiting the stage. They shortly appear in the ring. They have removed their robes to reveal Dove I dark red one piece with matching gloves and boots. Hair pulled back in battle braid. Brec in her favorite lght purple one piece with the multicolored upper portion. Thin black belt at waist. Black gloves and boots (purple laces). Hair in a perky ponytail secured with a purple scrunchy.

The two fighters chest up on one another until separated by stern warnings from the referee. They calm down long enough to get through the instructions, wen it is time for the glove “tap” the two mitts collide with a loud SMACK! With a final exchange of glares, Dove and Brec turn and go to their corners. Crowd tenses up (and so do the fighters). Then THE BELL RINGS—THE FINALE OF THE STABLE WAR IS ON!...

R1: Dove and Brec tear out of their corners and start firing punches. Dove quickly scores by rocking Brec with jolting right/let combos to the jaw. Brec trying to clip Dove’s chin, but gets her own chin clipped as Dove dodges the incoming and lands her countering uppercut. Brec falling back as Dove now brings her lefts and rights against the sides of Brec’s head. Brec jabbing back to Dove’s breasts hoping to discourage her, but Dove ignoring the jugg attack to keep the pressure on Brec to the head. Brec now mostly just trying to protect her head from further punishment. Dove now can turn her attention to giving Brec’s chest some vengeful attention with right and left sweeps to make those puppies sway. Then she gives Brec’s belly some heavy hooks. Brec bent forward, only occasionally risking a counter punch or two, but these are brushed aside by the rampaging HISC fighter. Round ends and Dove Cameron is a wide winner.

R2: Both fighters out quickly at the bell, though not in the reckless rush of the opening round. Dove going for Brec’s head again, but Brec puts some real power into hooks that slam into Dove’s ribs and stomach. Dove can’t ignore these blows as she is bent forward and Brec now brings punches up into Dove’s temptingly dangling breasts. Dove drops back momentarily to seemingly catch her breath. Brec starts in, but Dove moves forward too. They start banging away away at each at point blank range. Hammering short rights and lefts lifted to aching abs and bruised breasts. Brec showing her punching power as she is able to force Dove back on her heels just often enough to allow her to win the round after the bell.

R3: Brec and Dove again out swiftly at the bell. Dove lunging in again, swinging for Brec’s head, but Brec ducks the blow and drives her answering right in the point of Dove’s chin. Dove goes staggering back and Brec fires leather through Dove’s weakened high guard to smite her to the jaw and cheekbones. Dove’s legs are trembling as she continues to retreat, though she does get her high guard up and tight around her head. Signal for Brec Bassinger to now attack to Dove’s body. Brec driving her punches hard against Dove’s rib cage and then to her belly meat. Dove bending over with gurgling groan, Brec now seems to be trying to get Dove into the ropes, but can’t pull it off before the bell rings, Brec has to settle for leaving Dove breathing hard and looking a bit shell shocked. Round to Brec Bassinger wide.

R4: Dove and Brec move out crisply for the new round. Dove letting B rec come forward, but then drives a deep right hook into Brec’s belly and a left hook. Brec doubles over and promptly has a rising right uppercut connect with the underside of her chin and then a follow up left bash the side of her chin. Brec now trying to get out of range while pushing out some desperate counters. Dove dodging most of the counters and she keeps working Brec’s body. Dove also moving to the sides to gives Brec’s left and right side ribs a sound clubbing. Brec all hunches up, suffering as the body punches keep coming and can only protect her head. Dove maintains the body busting attack to the bell. Now it’s Brec Bassinger moving with obvious pain and a shell shocked look on her face. Dove Cameron winds round wide.

R5: Out they come for the 5th Round. Brec slowing down and showing stiffness after that body beat down she took in the previous round. Dove out more slowly too, but it’s more a like a predator moving in on a wounded target prey. Brec moves forward perhaps trying to pre-empt a Cameron offensive and smacks Dove to the jaw. However, Dove responds with a fresh wave of hooks into Brec’s already ravaged midsection. Brec makes a desperate effort to stop the attack by trying to force an uppercut into Dove’s chin, but Dove blocks the move and then smashes back with a right off Brec’s chin. Brec staggers and Doove clips the chin again it her right, DOWN GOES BREC! Brec’s knees give out and she it pitched sideways to the canvas. She lies on her side with a stricken look on her face. Dove smiling wickedly as she heads for neutral corner. Referee is counting as Brec tries to pull herself together and manages to break the count at “NINE!” Referee soon waves Dove back in. Dove giving an annoyed shrug that Brec is still standing and moves to finish this, but Brec seems strangely revived by the near-KO. She goes out to meet Dove and the two trade sharp leather. Brec able to hold Dove off with repeated shots to her jaw. Dove unable to land a finishing punch before the bell. Dove winds the round wide and has a knockdown to her credit, but she looks frustrated and is heard telling her corner people: “I should have had her!”

R6: Brec’s comeback continues in the new round. She on the attack early with luightning jabs that strike at Dove to the face and side of the head, At the same time, Brec is moving around and making herself less of a target for Dove’s counters. Now both are circling and darting in to launch a flurry of head shots before retreating, but Brec is getting better results from the tactic as Dove is getting lumped up a lot more than Brec. Dove goes back to the body late, but even here she is hit by counter body blows from Brec. Dove getting pushed around, though she is careful to avoid getting shoved into the ropes. Brec still attacking Dove to the body as the round ends and Brec wins the round wide.

R7: Bell sounds to commence the 7th Roove immediately move out to the center of the ring. Brec and Dove exchanging body shots early and they start to move closer for what looks to be another roud of toe to toe action. However, Brec suddenly strikes with stabbing right that catches Dove right between the eyes and then she drives a left into the same target. Dove on her heels, looking blankly at Brec and Brec then unloads a big right off Dove’s chin. Dove’s head jerked around and DOWN GOES DOVE! Dove lands on her side and rolls onto her back. She lifts up her head and looks on in bewilderment. Referee is now standing over her counting and Brec is watching hopefully from the neutral corner. Dove’s senses return and she realizes she is about to lose this fight! She rises to her feet to break the count atg “EIGHT!” She glares defiantly at a clearly disappointed Brec and even gestures for to “Come and get me!” Even before the ref can wave Brec back in. Brec happy to oblige and goes in against Dove, Now they really are toe to toe and blasting away at each other’s body. Dove hanging in against Brec until Brec gets an overhand right into Dove’s forehead. Dove lurches back , but gets her mitts up to protect her head against Brec’s follow up efforts. Bell sounds and round goes to Brec wide.

R8: Battle resumes as soon as the fighters can reach other after the bell. Dove now bobbing and weaving, using a steady jab to slice up Brec’s face as she tries to get within range. Brec tries circling in search of openings through which she can strike, but Dove able to move with her and keep that jab going. Brec’s face now getting badly swollen and bruised and she has to try to pull back to recover. Dove now stepping forward with heavier punching against Brec to the head and body. Brec can’t seem to get good counters going as the punches just won’t stop coming. Brec being ushed back steadily at the bell and Dove wins the round wide.

R9: Brec trying to answer Dove’s offensive by going on one of her own. Yet she runs into those same bob and weave defensive tactics again. Brec also getting whacked steadily in the flanks and then up the middle by Dove’s hard leather. Brec seems to lose patience and makes a rush to body Dove into the ropes. Big mistake! Dove smashes a right cross/left hook combo into Brec’s chin and Brec is instantly staggered. Then Dove swiftly drives right/;left uppercuts into Brec’s exposed chin. BREC SLUMPS TO HER KNEES! HISC fans go wild as Brec now falls forward into her hands. Dove struts to the neutral corner. Gut check time for young Brec Bassinger. Referee is counting remorselessly and the fight is only seconds from being lost. She sets er aching jaw and gets to her meet, Once again she broken the count at “NINE!” PLP seats cheer wildly while loud groans come fom the HISC seats. Referee waves Dove in, but before she can even reach Brec the bell rings. Dove looking very frustrated as she goes to her corner, she bitterly complains: “Why won’t that bytch stay down?” Brec just looks relieved to make it back to her stool. Only one round left, but this fight not over!

R10: The crowd is reaching new levels of excitement as the bell sounds for the final round. Brec and Dove move out of their corners with desperate determination. It is all on the line now. Neither young fighter seems interested in playing it safe this round. They go at each other with all-out punching as their final reserves of energy are thrown into the cauldron of leather fire. Punches are cracking off chin, jaw and head, while others are whumping against sweat soaked bodies as each tries to crush the other. Though a wall of sound surrounds the ring, inside the ring there are only two young women, dripping sweat mixed with blood, focused entirely on one another. The minutes tick by in agonizing suspense as neither fighter is faltering. Then, as the final minute is reached, Brec Bassinger is whipping Dove Cameron’s jaw with head swiveling rights and lefts as she works Dove into the ropes, DOVE CAMERON IS FALTERING. Dove’s arms suddenly fall to her sides just as Brec lands a crunching right to the chin. Brec steps back and Dove sags forward into her arms. Brec looks amazed as Dove’s face slides down her torso and then Brec hastily steps back as Dove now loes crumpled on the canvas. Brec makes her way to the neutral corner, her own legs are quaking, and she looks back as the referee counts. Dove stirring but she is not making an effort to rise.

“EIGHT!...NINE!....TEN!... YOU ARE OUT” cries the referee.

THE WINNER: BREC BASSINGER OF THE PRETTY LITTLE PUNCHERS DEFEATS DOVE CAMERON OF THE HAWKEYE INTERNATIONAL SPORTS CONSORTIUM IN THE 10TH ROUND BY KNOCKOUT!

After: Showers of balloons and confetti are falling on the ring as the Jumbotron lights up: PRETTY LITTLE PUNCHERS WIN! 3 FIGHTS TO 2! Brec clinging to the ropes to keep herself standing until her teammates can rush into the ring and carry her about on their shoulders. It is some time before Brec can talk to the press and, in that time, she has gone over to check on her fallen arch-rival.

“They tell me she’ll be all right—eventually,” Brec says to Archer News reporter Skip Tracey. “Wasn’t Dove something out there? I think she was the hardest opponent I’ve ever been able beat. I am just so happy I could do it and now the PLP has FINALLY won A Stable War with HISC!, Gosh that feels good. We’re going to celebrating all night!”

No celebrating likely in the HISC dressing rooms tonight. HISC spokespeople say: “It was a bitter loss for us. Dove especially feels the loss. We told her we know she did her best, but she says: ‘That just wasn’t enough this time. TWICE I got Bassinger down and couldn’t finish her! I swear I will never let that happen again.’” Many observers think that this is far from the end of Brec vs Dove and not a few are looking forward to what happens the next time these two clash, But, for now, the PLP celebrates and HISC mourns. FCBA fans rejoice as another thrilling FCBA event goes in the record book.
