Before: “I decided to fight Courtney Tailor because was one of the few high ranking Lightweight who hadn’t had the pleasure of a fight with me,” says a cheerful Mary Elizabeth Winstead. “I realize this is hardly her first title fight in 2021, but Courtney is still a good fighter and I want to check her out,”

“I appreciate this opportunity,” Courtney Tailor says respectfully. “I am the Queen of the Ice Hotel, but I certainly would love to be a double title holder especially such a prestigious title as the FCBA Lightweight belt. I will do my very best to win.”

“You know I tried fighting fir that title last year and that bubble boobed bytch Kate Upton stuffed me into a snowbank. I admit I am not to keen to risk hypothermia again.”

“Well, you know I did beat Upton March and worked over those ‘bubble boobs’ pretty good if I do say myself,” Caroline said.

“I saw that. I meant to send you a thank you note but I was hoping she’s end up in a snowbank, too,” Mary said,

“Maybe the net time I beat her,” Caroline said.,

“Gkad we have something in common, Courtney, but I have my duty: I have to defend the Lightweight Belts against any comers—including you,: Mary said,.

“I can accept that, but I do want that belt and it would be a great honor to take away from Mary Winstead,” said Courtney,

“I never make that easy,” Mary warned her,

“Wouldn’t have it any other way,” Courtney said and they actually shake hands in a rsarely seen in the FCBA gesture of good sportswomanship.

There is a saying around FCBA locker rooms that “friendliness stops when you climb into the ring” and this appeared to be the case for Mary and Courtney. They had been surprisingly cordial at pre-fight press events, but now as they faced each other in the ring there was a definite chill between them. Mary was in her dark bra and panties with black gloves and boots (dark blue laces. Her bobbed hair wetted down. Courtney in dark green bra and panties with matching gloves and boots (black laces). Blonde hair in a top knot on the crown of her head. Looks like Courtney is realizing this her chance to erase a frustrating series of title losses (outside of her Queen of the Ice Hotel title). While Mary realizes this may be her last chance to hold the Lightweight title so she wants to hold onto as long as she can. Ring instructions proceed professionally as does the customary glove tap. Mary and Court head for their corners and moments later the bell rings…

R1: Mary advances on Courtney with sharp jabs into those big (32D) hooters to sting the challenger early. Courtney looking irked at having her rack treated like this goes for Mary’s 34B bosoms. Mary waiting for her with a cracking right off the jaw and left uppercut to the chin. Courtney sent reeling back as Mary advances with steady jabs to carve up Courtney’s face before the blonde can get her mitts up to block. Then Mary gives hard to Courtney’s abs as pounds belly and ribs with plowing hooks. Courtney doubled op and getting battered about the head, able to push out only enough counters to keep this round from being a total rout. As it Mary wins the round wide.

R2: Courtney showing some nice moves by feinting a new attack on Mary’s puppies, but then going for Winnie’s chin. Good solid uppercuts knock MEW’s head back and then Courtney stuffs some good hooks of her own into Mary’s midriff. Mary suddenly backing up, bent forward and now getting the sides of her head clouted by solid CT punching. Mary covered up, looking for an escape route, but Courtney working to keep the champ cut off. However Mary able to break free after driving a quick right/left combo into Court’s face that stuns her long enough to allow MEW to scamper to mid ring. Courtney pursues and soon has Mary under fresh fire head and body. Mary covered up and taking it at the bell. Courtney Tailor wins the round easily.

R3: Mary responds to the beating she took the previous round by launching an immediate counterattack in the new round. Clashing with CT in the center of the ring. Mary goes after Courtney to the belly with a volley of hooks, then pounds her way upwards into Court’s ribs and finally those proud bosoms. Courtney is doubled forward and trying to get out of range behind a covering barrage of jabs. Mary ignores the jabs and goes after Courtney to the jaw and chin. Courtney hit hard in both areas. Legs are quaking as she covers up and Mary goes back to the body with a slashing attack of Courtney’s rib cage. Mary adds a burst of jugg jolting uppercuts to end the round and secure a wide win on points.

R4: Courtney and Mary reach the middle of the ring at the opening bell and this time they are drawn into a bitter battle of close-in body punching. Mary and Courtney both working mainly the belly and ribs, but neither can stay away from each other juggs for long. Upward driving hooks mixed with uppercuts are the punches of choice here as the two lean into the punching as they stand, sweat dripping faces almost touching as they look deep in each other’s eyes with determination and defiance. This exchange even until late when Mary seems to gain the upper hand with rib roasting relentless hooks. CT stubborn in retreat, but she is losing steam at the bell. It’s enough for MEW to win a close, intense stanza,.

R5: Mary liking that point blank punching now crowds in on Courtney as the 5th Round commences. At first, Courtney looks bottled up by Mary’s pressure tactics, but then manages to get hook of her own into MEW’s solar plexus. Blow freezes Mary just long enough for Court to drop down and come shooting upwards with a right uppercut that connects with Mary’s chin. DOWN GOES MARY! Mary lifted up on her tiptoes by the uppercut then crashes backwards like a fallen tree. Courtney beams with happiness as she trots ti the neutral corner. Referee moves in as Mary is groggily looking around leaning on her right elbow. She looks up and seems surprised to see the referee standing there counting. The realization brings Mary to her senses and she manages to stand erect at “EIGHT!” Fight resumes, Mary trying to trade punches with the returning Courtney, but gets her chin clipped twice and that’s enough to convince Mary to just bury her face in her gloves and let Courtney flail away at her flanks and shoulders. Courtney scores the first knockdown of the fight and wins round wide.

R6: Courtney Tailor seems well aware that Mary Winstead is a fighter who can get off the canvas and come fighting back hard in the next round. Therefore CT attacks Mary with a fury as the 6th Round gets under way. Mary looked slow coming out of her corner despite the Foxfire corner crew’s best efforts. Now she takes successive rights and lefts to the jaw and then two to the chin before she get her mitts up. Courtney now goes after Mary’s midsection with a furious series of hooks that double Mary up with an audible groan. CT now brings uppercuts into Mary’s upper body especially her now dangling bra cups. Mary struggling just to get away, but Courtney not letting her escape this time. MEW backed into the ropes, has to cover her head and take a seat on the ropes. Courtney lashes Mary’s exposed body with barrages of leather that make Mary’s torso tremble with the repeated shock. Yet Mary manages to keep her legs from giving way and still upright at the bell. Courtney steps back as Mary peels herself off the strands. Mary looks at her and ringsiders hear her say: “Nice try, Court, but this is not over.” Court not pleased at this and snaps: “It will be—soon!.” Mary may have been defiant but she got shutout by Courtney Tailor this round.

R7: Courtney clearly eagerly to get Mary down for good this round. She rushes out of her corner and closes in on a slower moving Mary. However, as Mary starts to swing a blockbuster right at MEW, Winnie strikes first with smashing right to the side of Courtney’s head. Courtney lurches to one side and Mary moves with her firing more punches at the challenger’s head. Courtney manages to turn around and heave an overhand right into Mary’s face that bloodies her nose and stalls her attack. Mary struggling to resist as the crimson trickles down her face and Courtney now launches her own attack. Courtney striking at Mary’s jaw with a right that swivels MEW;’s head and sprays Court with blood and sweat. Courtney then rams a hook into Mary’s belly, but MEW rams a hook of her own into Courtney’s abs and then another. Courtney returns the belly buster hooks and then the two are going at it again toe to toe. Punching drifting upwards into the ribcage and those already aching breasts. Mary starting to breathe heavily and tries to pull back, but she’s fighting all the way. Courtney trying to get Mary down, but Mary won’t go. They are punching away to bell. Another hard fought, intense round, but this one goes to Courtney Tailor by a narrow margin. Mary and Courtney look at each other steely eyed before they go to their corners. Observers note this fight is still up for grabs.

R8: Bell rings and the two fighters come out of their corners. Courtney wants to go back to the body, but Mary doesn’t seem interested in further point blank action. Mary moving back, obliging Courtney to come after her, and she is steadily working Mary to the body, Then Mary coolly steps to one side as Courtney comes in again and unloads a big booming right to the side of Courtney’s head. Courtney knocked sideways, stumbles and ends up colliding with the ropes. A dazed Courtney turns around to find Mary’s leather exploding into her face. Courtney knocked back against the ropes, leaking blood from her noise and cut over her right eye. Courtney trying to get her gloves up to her face, but now Mary is blasting uppercuts into her chin turning her head into a bobble head doll! Mary sees Courtney’s lights go out and then step aside. Courtney, gloves at her sides just crashes forward and ends up a blonde heap on the canvas. Mary walks briskly to the neutral corner and soon is watching as the ref’s count mounts. Courtney looking up from the canvas but sleepily closes her eyes and rests her cheek on the canvas.

“EIGHT!...NINE!...TEN!...OUT!”

THE WINNER AND STILL FCBA LIGHTWEIGHT CHAMPION: MARY ELIZABETH WINSTEADS DEFEATS COURTNEY TAILOR KO8!.

After: “Well, I told Court was a worthy opponent for me. She even seemed to know you got watch out when Mary Winstead gets off the canvas, but she still couldn’t beat me. Nice try though,” Mary says regaining her usual cheerfulness once the fight is over.

Mary even goes over to the O&E corner to check on Courtney. Not surprisingly Courtney is not feeling very talkative even after the medical staff has cleared her.

“I just want to lay down,” she groans, “I hurt all over.”

“Me, too,” Mary says, “you did a number me Court, but it wasn’t enough. I am really hard to beat, you know.”

“I know,” Courtney says glumly.

“You know I was thinking of walking you just because I want you able to tell ‘I was once walked by Mary Elizabeth Winstead.’” Mary then informed her.

“I think I can do without that honor,” Courtney says.

“Okay,” Mary says and gives her defeated opponent a hug before departing.

Courtney Tailor certainly came close to taking the belts from Mary Winstead, but close just isn’t enough when dealing with MEW. Mary is not invincible, but if any fighter get off the canvas and win a fight—it’s Foxfire’s Winnie Winstead. This bout was great example of that as Courtney Tailor got Mary down in one round and beat her in shutout round soon after. Yet Mary somehow shook it off to successful defend her title once again. Impressive, but ultimately unsuccessful effort by Courtney, but the way she keeps knocking on the division title door we think she’ll take it one of these days. Meanwhile MEW looks around for her next title defense (and her third Body Saddle Bout against Taylor Swift rumored to be part of Mary’s traditional Santa-kini plans for 2021). Sounds like fans will have much to look forward to come December.
