BEFORE:

"I haven't been getting as much work on this side of the Atlantic as I should be," says Baskin with a lovely smile. "Well, I suspect that will change once I take Mudd out of there tonight..."

"If Baskin thinks she's coming in here to make some kind of statement," says Sophie with a shake of the head, "She's mistaken. Badly mistaken."

ROUND ONE:

O'Dell: "Back at ringside and that is 'Sweet Home Alabama' by Lynyrd Skynyrd and here comes Alabama native Baskin Champion..."

McCarthy: "Who, surprise surprise, has NO FCBA wins!"

Cassie: "Champion enjoying the trip down the aisle, smiling and waiving at an appreciative crowd. She's into the ring and helped off with the robe and the crowd LOVING the blonde model in that lilac number she's wearing..."

McCarthy: "Waaayyyy too skinny..."

O'Dell: "And, that's 'Hotter Than Hell' by Dua Lipa you hear behind us, and that can only mean that 'Sultry' Sophie Mudd is on her way to the ring!"

Tess: "And, with the retirement of Kat Dennings, Mudd a girl with an opportunity to step up in the bantamweight pecking order at Front Street..."

Cassie: "AND, with the stable looking to be more active in JMD/D and on the beach, let's just say Sophie will have PLENTY of opportunities in 2022...if she continues getting results."

O'Dell: "Mudd into the ring and helped off with the robe by Jewel and Neve to reveal that Egyptian blue number that always gets the crowd going. And, the ladies are about ready to go. Time for some picks. Tess likes Sophie. Mac?"

McCarthy: "NO FCBA wins! Mudd!"

O'Dell: "Cassie?"

Cassie: "I agree with Tess!"

O'Dell: "Unanimous again. Let's see if the ladies are right...and we may find out quickly! Nobody doing any recon here! Ladies just stepping right to one another and letting the hands go and CHAMPION BACKS UP MUDD WITH A HARD RIGHT HAND! Sophie maybe a little buzzed here..."

McCarthy: "This is JUST what I was talking about! This girl would be mine by three!"

O'Dell: "Champion letting the hands go, backing up Mudd. Sophie firing back in spots. Legs look fine, so she's not hurt, but Champion got her attention in a big way, and the blonde is keeping the brunette on the back foot with a heavy volume of hard shot at the moment..."

Cassie: "Let's rewind. Mine. By. Three."

Tess: "We could try explaining this, BFF, but, 2022 looms...and it's only 365 days long..."

McCarthy: "What ARE you two babbling about???"

O'Dell: "Twenty seconds left in the first round, and Baskin Champion has OWNED it since the thirty second mark. She's got Sophie on the defensive and is punishing the brunette to both head and body. Five seconds. GOOD right by Baskin and there's the bell. Champion. Wide. To grab the 10-9 lead."

ROUND TWO:

O'Dell: "Champion right back after Mudd and she's meeting some STIFF resistance from the brunette! Sophie letting the hands go, stopping the blonde cold and now sending Baskin into retreat! Mudd has it going now, and she's got her opponent going, too, BACKWARD..."

Cassie: "Like Jenny O said, not many girls are going to slug it out with Mudd..."

O'Dell: "And, Champion's finding that out right now. Blonde backed up into the ropes now. She's not hurt, but she is taking some SERIOUS fire from the brunette. Sophie digging some body, going back upstairs. Baskin tying up, trying to slow this down, but Mudd punching free..."

McCarthy: "Kid needs to get off the ropes."

O'Dell: "Sure does, but that's not Sophie's plan. Instead, the brunette's keeping her pinned, working her over to both head and body, seeing Champion's aggression and raising it. Baskin ties up again. Ref gets in to break the pair and there's the bell. Not close again. Mudd."

Tess: "And, we're even at 19."

ROUND THREE:

O'Dell: "Third begins with Champion moving laterally. She heard it in the corner between rounds, and she's going to use that reach advantage, work the jab, do a little ranged work. Sophie working the feet, looking to match footwork, square the blonde, then bring the power..."

McCarthy: "Champion has a nice left. Ought to do more of this ranged work."

O'Dell: "It's certainly going better than what she tried in the last round, though the aggression worked pretty well in the first. As for Sophie, she's getting to spots and getting off in combination, but she's not able to back up the blonde like she did in the previous round..."

Tess: "Can't get her on the back foot because Champion's playing the range and angles very well."

O'Dell: "Indeed, she is. We're down under thirty seconds in the third, and it's been a good, two-way stanza for the first time. Baskin snapping that jab out, following with a solid right hand. Sophie steps past, crowds the blonde, works a little body, and there's the bell. Close. Baskin."

Cassie: "And Champion moves back into the lead 29-28."

ROUND FOUR:

O'Dell: "Champion working the feet as we start the fourth, but Mudd finding the range again and backing up the blonde with heavy leather. Sophie stepping to, working body, forcing Baskin to cover up as she moves upstairs. Brunette right back down to hook the ribs and belly..."

Cassie: "This is good stuff from Mudd..."

O'Dell: "Sure is. She's putting punches together in there, backing up Champion, keeping her on the defensive. Baskin again trying to tie up to slow this down, but Mudd punching free and landing a SOLID hook to the chin that got the blonde's attention before going right back to the body..."

McCarthy: "Ref needs to watch for low blows!"

O'Dell: "Coming down the stretch in the fourth, and it's been pretty close to a copy of the second, with Sophie taking control early, breaking Baskin's front and not allowing the blonde to stabilize it. Instead, Champion remains in retreat right to the bell. And, there's no doubt about this one. Mudd. Wide."

Tess: "And, we're even again at 29."

ROUND FIVE:

O'Dell: "Even more aggression early from the brunette. She's stepping to the blonde, backing her up with heavy shot. Champion doesn't have an answer right now. She's trying to get space with the jab and the feet, but she can't get it done. Instead, Mudd is ALL up in her grill..."

Tess: "Champion needs to figure a way to keep Mudd off, or..."

O'Dell: "RIGHT HOOK FROM SOPHIE AND CHAMPION IS HURT! Baskin stumbling back into the ropes and nearly going down after a NASTY right from the brunette, and now Mudd going all in now. She's rocking Champion with shot after shot and DOWN GOES BASKIN!"

Cassie: "That might do it..."

O'Dell: "Mudd to a neutral corner. Baskin down on her right side, parallel to the ropes. Ref's count at three. Four. Five. Champion rolling to her back now. Six. Seven. Trying to grab the ropes and pull herself up, but she can't manage it! Nine. TEN! It's OVER! Baskin still trying to grab the ropes as the count passes her by and it's OVER! And your winner by KO5 is 'Sultry' Sophie Mudd!"

McCarthy: "Lucky punch!"

AFTER:

O'Dell: "Let's go up to the ring and Tess Valmore!"

Tess: "I have our winner, Sophie Mudd, and, Sophie, she came right at you early..."

Sophie (nodding): "Yeah, and I wasn't surprised. She's a pretty aggressive girl and she landed some good shot in the first. But, you aren't standing in front of ME for long without paying a price for that. And, she paid it."

Tess: "You're a girl whose name gets mentioned a lot as one primed for a big year in 2022, especially with all the changes coming around here..."

Sophie (smiling): "Well, that's exactly what I'm planning for 2022...a BIG year. A VERY big year."
