Victoria’s Secret War in Heaven II: Grand Finals

BEFORE:
This is it! The grand finals of the Victoria’s Secret War in Heaven II tournament has arrived! 32 girls and over 30 fights later, we have a most unlikely pairing for this final match, with the Vixen Nina Agdal facing off against the Queen herself, Adriana Lima.

Nina has gotten to this point the hard way, beating girls like Lily Aldridge, Toni Garrn and most recently, Rosie Huntington herself. Adriana’s pathway to the finals hasn’t been easy either, beating girls sometimes half her age but still putting Behati Prinsloo and Gigi Hadid away like she was their equal.

“Adriana’s a cougar by this point, ain’t she?” Nina says with some smugness in her voice. “Don’t get me wrong - it’s impressive she’s made it this far. But both of us have fought harder this year to make it all the way to the Finals, and I ain’t giving up now.”

Adriana smirking from across the press table, looking entirely relaxed and seeing Nina as the furthest thing from a threat. “I told everyone I was going till the very end, and Nina ain’t gonna stop me. I haven’t beaten her before in my already illustrious career, but that fact is going to change by the end of the night.”

Almost a decade and a half difference in terms of age, but Lima is looking toned and fit for this biggest match of her career. She’s wearing a devil-red lingerie set, strutting down the aisle with her biggest wings yet. Nina not to be outdone, striding into the arena wearing the opposite colours of black, blue and white. She’s got her dirty blonde hair tied up in a neat ponytail as she dons pink gloves to fit the Victoria’s Secret theme.

Referee signals for the bell with a wave of his arm, and HERE WE GO with ten rounds of Lightweight action! This here’s the Grand Finals of the Victoria’s Secret War in Heaven II tournament, and for the title of Archangel!

ROUND 1:
Nina takes the fight to Adriana early, pounding away on her body to send the older woman shrieking backwards. Lima’s older years might mean she has less in the tank, as Agdal is banking on, as the Danish blonde keeps leaping in and firing punches into her arms and under, plugging that tummy flesh. Lima keeps her distance in the final minute, locking arms and responding with jab combos that score to the face. For now, Agdal is kept at bay, but that’s not stopping the Vixen from celebrating all the way back to her corner.

ROUND 2:
Adriana adapts well, keeping her distance and conserving her energy for the fight ahead. She successfully tags Nina multiple times on the face as the Vixen skirts in to try and finish her off. But Lima didn’t make it to the grand finals if she was such an easy pushover. She pays Nina back with precise and effective slaps of leather into her cheek and chin, shoving her head back with another grunt. Agdal’s having trouble adapting, keeps walking into Adriana’s trap throughout the three minutes. Some lunging shots to the body find their way in, but at the bell, Agdal has far less reason to celebrate.

ROUND 3:
Adriana is still holding all the cards, smirking behind those gloves as she continues to wreak havoc on Nina’s face. The Vixen is this close to clinching the gold, but she’s still making unforced errors as she blindly marches into the line of fire. First round sees the same rapid exchanges occurring as Lima lights Nina’s face up with a left hand to the nose, another hook grazing the chin to throw the younger woman off balance. But down the line, Agdal’s stubbornness pays off as she rams an uppercut into the arms to shock Lima hard, then another right hand disappears into the toned tummy to stun her to the spot. Lima gets a taster of her own punishment as she’s beaten back towards the ropes in the remaining seconds, but the bell soon saves her from potential catastrophe.

ROUND 4:
Nina is still coming in hot like a rod, zooming straight for Lima’s position near the corner and then lighting up her arms with rapid combos. Lima knows the best way to counter this but the overwhelming aggression is beginning to add up, with Nina constantly landing left-right shots to the nostrils and then taking the abuse down south to the body, as her gloves bang away. Lima, however, stands her ground with power and poise, rocking the blonde’s head to the side with a well-timed counter hook late in the third, blunting Nina’s attack completely. The round ends with both ladies just FIRING away towards each other’s heads, hoping to score enough points to edge out a lead.

ROUND 5:
So far, plenty of punishment has gone both ways, and Adriana has done more than enough to hold her ground against this younger aggression. Nina RAMS her way in for a fifth time, dipping that head and then lunging at Adriana’s torso underneath her arms to try and wind her some more. First minute has the Vixen find some success, each hook to the body or straight hand drawing a gasp and grunt from the Brazilian’s lips. Soon after, however, Nina realises her mistake when Lima counters with a powerful hook to the cheek, which STUNS the blonde and staggers her clean to the side!! OUCH!! LIMA’S ROARING IN after the dazed Vixen, tossing hook after hook after her bedazzled face!! Nina’s in trouble, covering her face up but unable to stave off Lima’s power as she takes yet another hard shot to the head! AND DOWN SHE GOES, literally flung off her feet from Lima’s right hand!! COULD THIS BE IT?!?

Nina’s been thrown onto her chest, her head hanging barely inches from the canvas as she breathes what might be her last few breaths of this fight! Meanwhile, Lima’s pumping one hand in the air, flexing those biceps as she returns to the neutral corner to try and catch her breath. It’s only the mid-way point of this final match, but already both women have given it their all! Referee’s count is beaten, however, as Nina finally steadies herself on both feet, her tummy bleating in and out for air, till she gives him a nod to continue.

ROUND 6:
Lima is about to cross the finishing line and she knows it. She’s slapping lefts and rights into Nina’s arms, hunting that head for that knockout blow. Nina’s in panic mode, moving as fast as she can and fending off those blows to her body and guard. She’s defending well enough, hiding that head completely from Adriana’s attacks, but defensive work alone isn’t going to win you any points. Lima just WALKING into her Danish foe, slamming gloves into her tummy and then going for big swings to the arms. No dice, however, as Nina survives the onslaught by keeping herself constantly moving to the bell. Shutout performance from Lima, though she’s clearly breathing hard from trying to end the fight.

ROUND 7:
Nina with the resurgence! Vixen leaps in and surprises the veteran model with a powerful hook to the arms. Lima lets out a shout as she’s thrown backwards with force, but then marches back in to BRAWL with the upstart blonde! Both girls GO at it for a good minute, arms up and foreheads repeatedly banging into each other, fists chugging at the body or chopped up into the arms to throw the other girl to the side or back. Slowly but surely, however, Nina’s gaining ground, especially after she scores with a hook to the ribs before blasting a follow-up to Adriana’s chin. Lima’s in trouble!! The busty Brazilian’s flying off to the ropes, with her eyelids fluttering and mouth hanging open! HERE COMES NINA, looking for payback! Speedbagging to the body as Agdal rams in lefts and rights, keeping her head down and just GOING TO WORK on the bewildered Brazilian! Adriana trying to weather but groaning and moaning, till a lasting kiss to the chin SENDS HER DOWN in the final seconds of the round! It’s a KNOCKDOWN for Nina Agdal in return! Could this be it?!

Agdal panting hard but still raising a fist high to the crowds as she saunters back to the neutral corner. Adriana’s alive but not necessarily kickin’, still finding her bearings as she crawls to the ropes and begins her recovery. The Odds and Ends starlet has made it this far in the tournament, and she’d be damned if she’s going to be robbed off the trophy for the second time running. Lima resets her gait by the count of 8, still looking a little wobbly but nodding her head to the ref to continue!

ROUND 8:
It’s the final quarter of this fight and the tournament as a whole, and both girls can see light at the end of the tunnel! Lima’s still looking hurt as she takes deep gulps of air to steady herself at the bell. But no time to waste for the wicked as HERE NINA COMES, marching in to BLAST her to the arms and body like the seventh round hasn’t stopped! Lima gets slammed and hammered across the ring but she keeps her feet moving, groaning as the hits come in but managing to absorb most of the damaging attacks to her rapidly wilting guard. Nina just lacks the punching power to finish her off, and those hooks and straight hands are bangin’ into the arms but only succeeding in pushing Adriana back a couple of steps at a time. Nina is the one who’s scoring, though, punting another hook to the head after a one-two combo snags Lima on the face. Girls get into a good ol’ wrasslin’ match down the line, shoving fists into each other’s bodies as they try and pin the other girl down on the ropes.

ROUND 9:
LIMA WITH A BIG RIGHT HAND to reopen this contest, stunning Nina directly to her face in the very first minute of the ninth! Nina was growing complacent but also tiring bit by bit. She lets out a dull groan before flailing backwards, thrown on the defence. Lima, however, isn’t in much better shape to give chase, throwing lefts and rights up high and down low but she’s either slamming leather into the arms or hitting air. Nina manages to compose herself past the middle mark, but it’s a little too late to salvage it for herself, as Lima continues to rack up points with the occasional prodding right hand to the body or cheek. Signs of life that this fight is far from over, however, when Nina flies into a counterattack in the final seconds, landing a right cross to the chin that damn well almost cuts Lima’s strings again, though the bell saves her just in time from going down.

ROUND 10:
It’s an ending befitting of the War in Heaven II tournament, with both Victoria’s Secret models going through hell to get their Archangel wings! They fly in at the bell, suddenly reinvigorated at the prospect this might be the very end of the road! And with a knockdown apiece, we estimate these two might be dead even in terms of points on the scorecards! Lima striking first, bashing a hook high into the arms before landing a stiff shot to the forehead. Nina’s reeling but having braced herself well, sings right back with a glove shoved into the tummy before blasting the Brazilian across the chin to send her reeling in turn! Girls go at it for a good minute, each taking and losing ground in tandem, till another right hook from Agdal SWIVELS Lima’s head to the side with a loud GRUNT! Nina telegraphed that hook well and put in the momentum with those squared shoulders, victory flashing in her eyes as she continues to WALK the battered brunette back towards the ropes!! COULD THIS BE IT?! Lima all covered up, groaning as she’s taking punishment from all directions and all over her frame, eats yet another swing to the side of the head that SEALS THE DEAL! The Odds and Ends starlet goes DOWN in a shower of arms and legs and grunts, and this time, Lima’s flattened onto her back, completely knocked out cold!! Referee performs the mandatory ten-count but it looks like the poor woman might have to wait another five years to earn her wings!! It’s OVER!!

Official Decision: Nina Agdal defeats Adriana Lima via KO10! Nina Agdal wins the Victoria’s Secret War in Heaven II boxing tournament!

AFTER:
Validation for the Vixen as she breaks down in tears of joy, too tired and been through too much sh*t since August of 2021 to do much else but stumble back to her corner, where she’s embraced by her fight team. Noone had put much stock into the Vixen’s prospects of winning, what will reliable stalwarts and ex-champions on the tournament line-up this year.

But emerged victorious she has, later being led back to the centre of the ring where the referee raises her hand high to the adoring cheers of the crowds. The tournament organisers show their appreciation by wheeling in those famed Victoria’s Secret angel wings: a loud and garish set-up but of the loudest and most elaborate design we’ve seen thus far: three metre high pearly-white wings made of mesh and chicken-wire. As it’s attached to Nina’s back and secured round her waist, every step about the ring produces a flourish and flutter of resplendent silver feathers - only the best indeed for the newly crowned Archangel.

As for Adriana Lima, the veteran fighter begrudgingly offers her congratulations later on in the evening, shaking Nina’s hand and definitely promising a second explosive encounter the next time they meet.
