Dannii Minogue vs Cher Lloyd

BEFORE: ACB featherweight legend is back for another Crossover spin but unlike Geri Halliwell earlier this month, she's tasked of facing a much younger and more demanding opponent in Cher Lloyd. Most these singers usually hate each other to the bone but Dannii and Cher share a common enemy in Cheryl Cole yet they will only compare the notes after they're done with their own fight tonight.

Cher returns to the ring after 11 months but claims she didn't need any dress rehearsal before facing the "old slapper". Dannii laughs off those comments and says that most of these cocky youngsters have underestimated her over the years based on DOB alone and that "usually" ended in a rough wake-up call for them. And Lloyd will be no exception!

Dannii Minogue wears a crimson red bikini & black gloves. Long dark brown hair tied in a braid. Cher Lloyd wears a white bikini set & red gloves. Long dark brown hair tied in a high ponytail. The fight is scheduled for ten rounds in the flyweight division.

Round 1:
Quick start from the younger brunette who tries to overpower the veteran with some well-timed hooks but Dannii embraces the initial onslaught and fires back over the top triggering a back & forth exchange in the center of the ring. Some British fans hope to see Cher land one for the highlight reel but suddenly she eats a booming right hook on the mouth and wobbles onto her heels while the Aussie singer cranks up the head-hunting volume and punches her back to the ropes. Cher has to escape the slugging heat but trips over her own feet and Minogue NAILS her with a vicious hook on the nose. Woof! DOWN GOES LLOYD!!! Would you believe it? The Gypsy Queen is down amid a loud ovation from the audience and even Denise van Outen can't wrap her head around that knockdown! The "old slapper" keeps blowing up these prospects and leaves the British fans shellshocked. Cher gets up at eight looking a bit shaky and the clock expires soon aftewards but...

Round 2:
...Dannii quickly resumes the slugging pounce early in the second and blitzes through Lloyd's high-guard to knock her head back & forth again. Uh-oh! Cher remains in shock for lack of a better word and stops these Aussie punches with her face! The veteran drives her onto the ropes and keeps bashing away until she leaves a deep gash under the left eye and then SMOKES the stunned Brit with a right hook on the temple... DOWN GOES LLOYD again! Shocking turn of events here as Lloyd stays down on all fours during the count before collapsing face-down at the referee's feet! Just like that it's KO2 Dannii Minogue and Cher doesn't know what hit her!!!

AFTER: The Aussie cougar dances around the ring and shadows boxes with the crowd while calling out Cheryl Cole into yet another X-Factor Special event however BBU fans will have to cool down their expectations for that one. Not many experts predicted Lloyd would last in the ring fewer rounds than Geri Halliwell but maybe she did underestimate the ACB legend after all? Can't take that for granted since Cher is too shaken up to answer the questions and is escorted back to the locker room before the official verdict is announced. Meanwhile Minogue says she's off to Birmingham to follow the Commonwealth Games and might sign up for another boxing clash in the meantime since she's very much on a roll and that shouldn't be wasted.
