Results: Lookout!; Story: Caspian & The Dollhouse

BEFORE:
Maddie Ziegler’s fresh off an almost-win against Dollhouse darling Avril Lavigne, and now suddenly having to share the same locker room as her former opponent. The assembled press are left wondering what that feeling is like, and Maddie is only happy to share her thoughts on her second fight, barely a month ago.

"Well, I kinda almost beat Avril on my debut…” the American dancer chuckles. “So I can't imagine Victoria here, who lost her last...what? like, gazillion fights, is going to stop me from getting my first FCBA win tonight. I can't wait to get in there and take her out."

One thing Maddie is right about though is Victoria’s record in the ring, with the American actress not having won a single fight for the whole of last year, and only managing a win against a fellow Doll Lauren Mayberry back in November of 2020.

“I’ve knocked out a Doll before - I’ll do it again,” Justice says next with a nod and smile. “All these rookie youngsters think they’re hot stuff. Only after their face kisses the canvas do they realise how silly they sound. If she thinks I’m some pushover in there she’s in for a rude awakening tonight.”

Ladies look the same height but are quite different in terms of build, with Miss Ziegler’s dancing background making her look very fit and toned next to Justice’s lean but softer figure. There’s no making up for cockiness, however, as both ladies smirk and pose with their fists at each other’s chins, before slowly backing away upon encouragement of their fight teams.

Hours later, we’re back in the arena, and Victoria Justice is the first to make her entrance, holding her chin up high and waving to the crowds. She emerges from the curtains in a purple-coloured sports bra and long black tights, a pearly-white shawl draped over both shoulders. She’s wearing black gloves for tonight’s contest and her shinty black hair is in a tight ponytail.

Up next, the newest Dollhouse member (her first match of five signed fights on her developmental contract) is squaring her shoulders and smirking as the audience greets her with some loud cheers, her fans clearly being the majority in the arena here tonight compared to Victoria’s. Tonight, Maddie’s wearing a neon-yellow sports bra and dark-blue short tights that perfectly hug that immaculate toned young dancer body of hers. Her blonde hair is tied in a high ponytail and she’s brandishing matching dark-blue gloves into the air with an equal air of confidence with each stride. Ziegler is accompanied to the ring by both Carmen Electra and coach Kristanna Loken and the new Doll takes her time on her way to the ring, high fiving and blowing kisses to the fans on her first official fight as a Dollhouse member.

Later in the ring, the referee gets the nod from both corners, as both girls get into their respective fighting stances. With a wave of the hand, HERE WE GO with ten rounds of Flyweight action!

ROUND 1:
Despite having lost her first fight, Maddie Ziegler looks confident as she comes out of her own corner - she knew that she performed well against a legend like Avril Lavigne, and if she managed to knock down Miss Lavigne once before, she surely can do the same to almost any other girl in the division. Ziegler hopes to prove this point early, already slamming punches into Justice’s arms and taking wider swings at her head, hoping to end this fight on a decisive note. It could be the younger Ziegler not wanting to kick off her five-fight contract with another loss to her name, and for now, she succeeds, with Justice looking shocked by her surprising power in each attack, and Maddie ramming another straight cross between the arms and a right hook overhead that connects just in time with her raised guard. So far, so good, and Maddie only needing to keep her head moving to avoid Justice’s return jab combos. By comparison, of course, these combinations look tame, as Maddie continues to deliver shots to gain ground all the way to the bell. Wide round goes to the newest member of the Dollhouse!

ROUND 2:
Big debut impression made by Ziegler so far, who only wants to continue her climb to the very top! Maddie is already wading in with her hands loose and ready to power into Victoria’s vicinity. A couple of low and high swings almost catch Victoria on the chin and body, but this time, Justice is moving a little faster, which enables her to scoot out of the way just in time of another wide swing. Maddie’s still hounding and pressuring her backwards, chasing Justice with her back almost against the ropes. Almost, though! Victoria fires back with faster dodges and even faster left-right hands streakin’ in all of a sudden, which tag Maddie on the face and bunch up her cheek when she least expects them. Ziegler’s still young and green, and while her offensive capabilities are off the charts, her defensive skills leave a lot to be desired. Last minute and Maddie has had enough, especially after another right hand is driven into her nose to halt her advance even further. Victoria looks like she’s on top of her game (however high that might be), bouncing spritely on her feet and goading the youngster to bring it on. Bell rings and Ziegler has to contend with the scores evening out for now!

ROUND 3:
Both girls ready to roar again at the sound of the bell, and this time, Maddie’s moving forward with a little more caution. Ziegler’s still playing the aggressor, of course, initiating with a fast combo designed to shake things up. The unexpected jab and hook to the body catches Victoria off-guard, sending her scrambling backwards with a grunt. Maddie, however, makes the mistake of trying to give chase to finish her off, suddenly letting out a yelp of her own as Justice sticks a jab into her lips, and another overhand swing that almost lands between the eyes. A third such cross hits her on the nose hard, however, sending Ziegler reeling backwards for a second before the American dancer manages to reset her guard, dancing out of danger for now. Justice tries to capitalise, chasing after Maddie’s head with more fast combos, but they mostly land without venom and on the arms. Ziegler tries to regain her footing but it’s not so easy for the rest of this round, with Justice keeping her at bay by constantly hounding her head. Last minute and Ziegler manages to force her way inwards regardless, slamming a cross into the arms to remind Justice she’s still there and standing. At the bell, neither girl is really smiling any longer, raising tired arms halfway into the air before quickly circling back to their corners to catch their breaths.

ROUND 4:
For a moment, Victoria appears to get the upper hand, landing an early combo to Ziegler’s face to daze her badly. Maddie’s as agile as they come, but her footwork is still not refined enough to get fully clear of Justice’s seasoned strikes. But as Justice gives chase, she once more finds her attacks lacking power, as they hit the guard but Ziegler also covering up well from all her practice in the gym. The youngster’s cunning and calculated, returning fire when the coast is clear: a right hook catches Justice on the side of the head with a loud grunt, before another uppercut almost blows her arms apart when it cuts down the middle of the noise. Suddenly, Victoria’s getting thrown backwards from Maddie’s power shots, her mouth hanging open in shock and trying desperately to regain her footing on the backpedal. BUT HERE COMES ZIEGLER, throwing mighty hands like she has her prey in her sights! Victoria’s getting blasted left and right, her arms and defences in complete tatters as another hook STUNS her to the chin! AND DOWN SHE GOES, sent flying off to one side in a death spiral before landing on her chin with a loud THUD! The referee is quick to slide in and start the count, but Maddie’s already running back to her corner, her arms high in celebration! Justice is doing her best to crawl her way to the ropes, but her head’s groggy as hell, and she barely finds her bearings! She only makes it up to all fours by the bottom rope when the referee finally hits the count of 10!! It’s OVER!!

Official Decision: Maddie Ziegler defeats Victoria Justice via KO4!

AFTER:
Ziegler’s smirking in satisfaction as she makes her way to her corner, high fiving Carmen Electra and coach Loken when she gets there, her cocky smirk ever present as struts to the center of the ring to get her hand raised by the referee, making her first FCBA win official!

Maddie takes her time, posing in the middle of the ring with her left hand on her hip and the other raised high, basking in the loud cheers of her fans as she gives a short glance in Victoria’s direction, visibly chuckling at her opponent’s predicament.

Justice’s team is trying to help their fighter off the mat and it’s yet another loss for the fragile brunette which is now her 7th in a row.

The blonde dancer doesn’t pay her first ever victim too much attention, too busy with her own celebration and being the center of attention for reporters flooding the ring to get a first interview from the young blonde.

“It feels amazing!” Maddie says as the crowd cheers her on. “My goal was to take her out in no more than 5 rounds… turns out I only needed 4. She got a few hits in but nothing that really troubled me...I’m still working on my game of course, but you all seen what I can do in these fights so far. Carmen wanted a flyweight who could win the Dollhouse a belt since Av and Ems aren’t really getting the job done, so… she signed me. Yeah, I’m aiming high, but I know I’ve got the talent and the athleticism for it.”

When asked about her future goals, the blonde nods and answers without thinking. “My goal right now is to go a perfect 5-0 for my 5 fight contract, then I’m definitely going for that flyweight belt. So, ladies…better watch out!”

Maddie then leaves the ring and makes her way backstage with the proud Dollhouse team following right behind, leaving her fans and all of us wanting more and eagerly waiting to know who she’ll be facing next.
