Samara Weaving vs Sophia Bush

Before: Demi Rose may have had the worst two weeks in recent memory, but Samara’s is a close second. O&E contracts reserve a champion’s fifth defense for an in-house challenger, and Weaving was poised to take advantage. And then events intervened. Therefore, we are facing a Samara who was poised for the toughest fights of her career. And she wants everyone to know it: “I’m honed to a razor’s edge, I couldn’t sit out this month! Sophia’s in a title fight, whether she’s ready for one or not!”

Sophia confident despite the age gap, and losing to Samara back in October: “I’ve heard it from Hayden, and Mishy and Rachel, OK? I was a champion before she was allowed out of Australia! I can handle anything she’s got!”

R1: Sophia slicing her jab out there, dropping the right hand in behind to score some splashy one-twos early. Samara trying to time her punches, bobbing side to side with intent to sling her right hand over Bush's jab. Sophia keeping the action in the middle of the ring, controlling Samara with the stick, blonde coming up short with her counters. During the break - corner wants more body work out of Weaving.

R2: Samara gets the right hand she's been looking for - ducking under Sophia's jab, pulling the right over the top and LABELLING chin with knee-buckling force. Bush stiff legged, stupified - Weaving gets after the ribcage with thundering wide left/rights. A hurting Sophia sinks to the ropes, gloves limp at her face, eyes vacant - she stoops forward, grunting as Samara slams away to the waist and flanks. Weaving keeping her head up between Bush's mitts, banging away with furious intentions, occasionally stepping to the either side to clip the outside/in uppercut. Sophia sent woozy to her corner - she's hurting early.

R3: Samara wades into a walloping wide right hand on the jaw - blonde staggers, then holds her ground, dipping side to side to pull haymakers into Sophia's arms and flanks. Toe to toe mayhem - Bush's best work being done with short right uppercuts timed inside Weaving's wide rights - blonde pounding the body with berserker rage, hips and trunks fair game as each fighter unleashes with mindless fury. Pitching and catching and SOPHIA'S HURT! Bush cramping up, face pinched - she's not throwing - Weaving swarming her, belting her flanks and ears with cudgeling blows as the brunette leans forward and GOES DOWN! Sophia on all fours, spits out her mouthpiece and it's OVER! Bush all used up – KO3 Samara Weaving!

After: Samara letting out a satisfied “WOO!” A primed and prepped Weaving just rolled right over an unprepared Bush, setting off her 2022 campaign with a statement win!
