BEFORE:

"Look," says a hard-eyed Kate, "I can compete at this level, and I've shown that again and again. And, I know what everyone's saying. I don't get enough results. Well. That ends TONIGHT."

"This girl isn't wrong when she says she can fight," says Taylor. "She can be a factor in the welterweight division, no doubt. But, despite protestations to the contrary, she's NOT coming out ahead tonight."

ROUND ONE:

O'Dell: "Back at ringside and that's 'Jack Sparrow' by Lonely Island, and here comes statuesque blonde beauty Kate Bock..."

McCarthy: "And, somebody's going to mention how Weirdo almost signed this girl, and the best thing that happened to her in her LIFE is that he didn't, because this stable is an absolute FAILURE at welterweight!"

O'Dell: "Kate all smiles on her way to the ring, clearly enjoying this. Quickly inside and helped off with the robe to reveal that bumblebee yellow number we've seen before and the crowd clearly likes...and, that's 'Natural' by Imagine Dragons you hear, and here comes 'The Face', Taylor Hill!"

Cassie: "And, here's where Mac runs down Hill to cover up the fact that MAC was dumb enough to RELEASE this girl so Front Street could get her for NOTHING..."

McCarthy: "SHE IS A TALENTLESS TOOTHPICK!"

Tess: "Who's ranked number two at lightweight and has already won the Unified Lightweight Championship..."

McCarthy: "She got LUCKY and Boxing World is in Weirdo's back pocket!"

O'Dell (sighing): "Hill without a GLANCE at Mac on the way to the ring. She's inside and helped off with the robe and the crowd POPPING in a big way for Taylor in that azure number she likes..."

McCarthy: "LOW STANDARDS..."

O'Dell: "Aaaannnddd, we're about ready for some picks. Tess likes Taylor. Mac?"

McCarthy: "Talentless toothpick! Bock!"

O'Dell: "Cassie?"

Cassie: "I agree with Tess!"

O'Dell: "And, we're underway. Ladies setting up at gunnery range, and that's no surprise. Both tall and long and like to extend on punches and Hill a NICE right hand that backs up the blonde. Taylor stepping forward backing Kate up again with a sharp flurry..."

Tess: "Taylor's got Bock on the back foot already..."

O'Dell: "And, she's keeping her there. Brunette repeatedly backing the blonde up with hard leather, then stepping forward into the breach to get off and back her up again. Kate unable to hold canvas or get anything going here. Instead, she's taking a licking from Hill..."

McCarthy: "Bock needs to punch for respect."

O'Dell: "She needs to do SOMETHING to get out of reverse, that's for sure. At the moment, though, not happening. Hill's got it all going on. Good combination there from Taylor backs Kate up AGAIN. Five seconds to go, and there's the bell and that's a super first round for the brunette. Hill. Wide."

Cassie: "And, Taylor takes the 10-9 lead."

ROUND TWO:

O'Dell: "Hill back to work. She's got the range on the blonde and she's landing hard shot, backing up the Canadian, stepping in behind the leather to get off and do it all over again. Kate again unable to hold canvas and SHE STAGGERS TAYLOR WITH A COUNTER!"

McCarthy: "YES! FINISH THE TOOTHPICK NOW!"

O'Dell: "A BRILLIANT counter from Bock and Hill is HURT. Taylor the one being backed up now as the Canadian gets off lusty. She's got the brunette against the ropes and is working her over in a MAJOR way. Taylor keeping the guard high, jabbing back in spots..."

Cassie: "Ref on a hair trigger, Jenny..."

O'Dell: "Yes, he is. We're under twenty seconds to go in the round and Bock is throwing everything but the kitchen SINK at Hill. Taylor blocking, rolling with, holding on. Five seconds to go. Good right from Kate and there's the bell! HUGE round for Bock, who takes it wide..."

Tess: "And, we're even at 19."

ROUND THREE:

O'Dell: "Bock back to work in the third. Brunette still clearly buzzed, can't trust the legs, and Kate taking advantage, backing up her rival again and again with hard shot. Hill not trying to hold canvas. She's trading space for time, firing back only in spots as the Canadian fights lead..."

Tess: "Bock REALLY sitting down on everything here..."

O'Dell: "Sure is. She definitely wants to finish this thing if possible. So far, Hill's been able to deny her that. But, that's about ALL Taylor's getting done. She's countering here and there, mind, but it's mostly Kate most of the time as the leggy Canadian takes command of this thing..."

McCarthy: "Don't let her off the hook! Get her OUT!"

O'Dell: "Down the stretch we come. Bock backs up Hill again. Taylor managing to stay off the ropes this stanza. She lands a good right hand there, her best punch in some time, but Kate responds with a solid flurry that backs the brunette up again, and there's the bell. Bock. Wide."

Cassie: "And Kate leads 29-28."

ROUND FOUR:

O'Dell: "Bock again coming forward, meeting a little more resistance now. Hill seems to have the legs back under her and Kate not going to press this. She's back to range and getting her box on, and now the Canadian is holding her own in the gunnery department..."

Cassie: "Getting the hands out and back, not letting Taylor get off first all the time."

O'Dell: "And, it's making a difference. Unlike the first round, Hill not backing Bock up. Instead, the ladies continuing to work at range, both getting their box on, and, for the first time in the contest, we're getting a two-way round. Not much in it at the moment, as both fighters get some work done..."

McCarthy: "Bock let her off the HOOK! But, she'll still win the fight..."

O'Dell: "Good exchange there and another. Plenty of action in this stanza. GOOD right from Hill and a SHARP rejoinder from Bock. Ten seconds to go in what's been a very competitive round. One final exchange and there's the bell. Very close this time, but Bock again."

Tess: "And, Kate's up a pair, 39-37."

ROUND FIVE:

O'Dell: "Hill getting rolling again as we start the fifth. She's getting that jab off quickly, landing, following with right hands, starting to back the Canadian up again. Bock thrown to the defensive, just like she was in the first, and Hill taking full advantage of fighting lead..."

Tess: "I've said before that I think Hill is the best fighter at Front Street..."

McCarthy: "What would YOU know, Walmart?"

O'Dell: "Taylor lands a combination. Kate bangs back, but Hill forces her to cover up with another nice flurry. Bock in retreat, not hurt, but, like in the first, can't hold canvas. Hill digs a hook to the body, then goes right back upstairs. She's keeping the Canadian on the back foot..."

Cassie: "Great stuff from Taylor here."

O'Dell: "No doubt about it. Folks forget now, but she did pretty well when she fought at welter before coming to Front Street. And, we're seeing a demonstration of what she can do at this weight in this round. ANOTHER good combination by Hill and there's the bell. It's Taylor wide in the fifth, and Bock's lead is cut to 48-47 at the half."

ROUND SIX:

O'Dell: "Back to ranged boxing and Bock showing a bit more movement now. She's moving the head and feet, making it harder for Hill to get that jab on. Taylor still landing in spots, putting punches together, but now Kate working on even terms again like she was able to do in the fourth."

McCarthy: "Bide your time. Land the big one..."

O'Dell: "And, there's no doubt Bock CAN land the big one, and she's already had Hill in trouble once, but, for now, both women getting their box on, scoring points with both hands, putting together another of those nice, two-way rounds we saw back in the fourth..."

Tess: "Bock definitely impressing here, Jenny."

O'Dell: "Sure is. Hill a former champion, held the title last year. And, Kate staying right with her, at least through six. We're down to ten seconds in this stanza. Sharp exchange and then another and there's the bell. Glove tap and the ladies head back to their corners. Close. Bock."

Cassie: "And, Kate's lead is two again, 58-56."

ROUND SEVEN:

O'Dell: "Seventh starts the way the sixth ended, with blonde and brunette working gun platform stuff. Both extending on their punches, moving head, hands, feet, boxing very, very well. Good combination by Bock there and Hill fires back with one of her own, snapping Kate's head back with a right hand."

McCarthy: "Bock just needs to keep using that length, keep getting the jab on."

O'Dell: "Doing that well at the moment. Sharp exchange and another. Both women landing solid shot in those trades. Kate a good right hand, backs Hill up a step. Bock steps to and IS DROPPED BY A STRAIGHT RIGHT HAND! Oh, Hill walked her right into that and Kate is DOWN!"

Cassie: "What a SHOT..."

O'Dell: "Taylor to a neutral corner. Count at three. Four. Bock rolling to her belly at five. Six. Pushing to hands and knees. Seven. Kate to her feet at eight. She's definitely unsteady. Ref gives her the mandatory and waves on Taylor! Hill winging away, driving Bock back into the ropes, letting her have it with both hands. Time ticking away. Ten seconds to go. Ref looking in closely. Canadian hanging on...and there's the bell! Kate survives, but Taylor takes the round 10-8..."

Tess: "And, we're all even at 66."

ROUND EIGHT:

O'Dell: "Eighth begins with the brunette looking to finish. She's stepping to the blonde, backing her up with hard, accurate flurries. Bock doesn't have any legs under her. Still hurt. She's hanging on desperately here as Taylor tries to take her out of there. GOOD right by Hill that shook Kate..."

Tess: "Ref not going to watch much more of this..."

O'Dell: "He is not. Bock jabbing back here and there, trying to play for time. But, Hill keeping the pressure on, committing on everything, looking for that 'off' switch and SHE MAY HAVE FOUND IT! Straight right from Taylor and DOWN GOES BOCK after a perfectly placed right hand!"

Cassie (singing): "Turn out the liiiggghhhhtttsss. The party's ohhhhverrrrrrr..."

O'Dell: "Taylor to a neutral corner. Kate down on her back, not moving at all. Count at three. Four. Five. Ref can wave this off now. Six. Seven. No movement from Bock. Eight. Nine. TEN! It's OVER! An absolutely BLISTERING right hand from Hill and it's OVER! And your winner by KO8 is 'The Face' Taylor Hill!"

McCarthy: "LUCKY! She's LUCKY! I can't WAIT for Lawley to get hold of her!"

AFTER:

O'Dell: "Let's go up to the ring and Tess Valmore!"

Tess: "I have our winner, Taylor Hill, and, Taylor, that was a battle..."

Taylor (nodding): "Never had any illusions about anything else. This girl is a good fighter. She just needs steady work. She can compete for titles at welter. But, as I keep saying, so can I."

Tess: "So, welter or light. Where are you concentrating..."

Taylor: "This is Front Street 3.0. We take the opportunities where they come. Light. Welter. Ice Hotel. The beach. I'll be seeing where there are chances to win gold and going after those opportunities."
