CH MARY ELIZABETH WINSTEAD VS EMILY DIDONATO

FCBA LIGHTWEIGHT TITLE

Results: Lookout Writing: Archer

Mary: 37 YO, 5’8 (1,73 m), 70-53-0, 54 KO since 2007, Foxfire Boxing

Emily: 31 YO, 5’10 (1.75 m), 44-16-0, 44 KO since 2017, Fates Boxing

Before: At the pre-fight presser, the Champ Mary Winstead is meeting Fates Boxing’s Emily DiDonato for the first time. Emily is eyeing Mary warily, but Mary is a jovial mood.

“You have had 69 fights in 5 years, but never one with me, Emily, I do admire a hard working and obviously successful fighter, but I am a little disappointed this has taken so long,,” Mary says.

Emily manages a cautious smile: “It wasn’t by design, I assure you, but I have to say that having the title belt on the line makes this special.”

“You seem a little nervous, Emily,” Mary says, “I know I have a reputation for not respecting models, but I’ve had enough experience with you Ladies of the Runway to have changed my opinion. All I have to do is look at your record and know you the Real Deal at Lightweight and a worthy opponent for me. Say, I did catch you smothering out that Valerie What’s-Her-Name at the mini-PPV. I was hoping you would use a Body Saddle on her. Long legged models make great mounts.”

“I was making a point about post-fight humiliations,” Emily said, “I trust you got my point.”

“I am not that easily intimidated,” Mary says with a shrug. “You worried about the post-fight? I promise it won’t involve a Body Saddle or you wearing a French Maid’s Costume. I think a Walk of Shame would be perfect. I’d be so cute hauling around someone two inches taller than me.”

“I am not that easily intimidated either,” Emily retorts, “but I meant what I said then: You humiliate me in the post fight and you will pay—eventually.”

“I’ll take my chances,” Mary says, “but I am actually looking forward to this fight. I brand new opponent is exciting to me. Please be worthy of my interest.”

“Oh, don’t worry about that,” Emily said, “I am plenty worthy of your interest.”

“We shall see,” Mary said, “see you in the ring.”

A lively degree of social media interest stirred up by this encounter leads to an exited crowd on the night of the Lightweight Title fight. Mary comes to the ring in one her favorite ring outfits: a blue/gray bikini with gray gloves and boots, blues. Mary’s bobbed hair is loose but wetted down. Emily has come to the ring in purple bra and panties with black gloves and boots (purple laces). He hair is pulled back in a battle braid. Ring instructions proceed smoothly, Gloves are taooed politely and the fighters go to their corners. Tense, long seconds follow before the bell rings and crowd bursts into an excited roar…

R1: Mary testing Emily D. early with sharp blows to the face. Emily jabs back and stuffs leather into Mary’s face. Then the two circle and start punching away steadily. Punching is moving from head to body and back again. Steady output from both fighters keeping the punch ate close. Then Mary presses in closer, hooking hard into Emily’s abs and then rising uppercuts into the undersides of Emily’s bra cups. Emily hanging in, punching back, but then slips an uppercut into Emily’s chin. Emily recoils as the impact shoots through her body. Mary pressing hard to the head as Emily covers up and the bell sounds. Close round, but Mary’s late flurry seems to have impressed the judges.

R2: Emily and Mary both out quickly for the new round and Emily starts whacking Mary to the head from long distance. Mary trying to work her way forward to get at Emily, but now gets hit hard to the jaw and cheekbones. Mary finally forced to pull back and try to circle around, but now Emily is on the march, Mary hit hard to the belly and then gets her breasts worked over. Mary trying to counter, but slows down as Emily shakes her with repeated chin chuckers. Mary falling back as the round ends under heavy fire from Emily D, who wis the round wide.

R3: Mary and Emily circling each other at center ring as R3 commences. Mary keeps trying to press forward, but is driven back each time by hard counters from Emily D. Mary forced to pause and step back. This is signal for Emily to counterattack. First she goes to the belly and ribs with a barrage of hooks. Mary starting to tip forward amd then Emily UNLOADS A CRACKING RIGHT TO THE JAW. Mary takes a step forward AND THEN CRASHES ONTO HER FACE! Emily trots happily to neutral corner as a bell-rung Winnie tries to pull her senses together. Referee is counting and it is all Mary can do to rise andbeat the count at “EIGHT!” Referee checks Mary and then signals Emily back in. Mary prudently goes face-in-gloves to give Emily no opening for a finisher, Round ends in a knockdown for Emily who wins the round wide.

R4: Mary out and fighting hard as the new round gets going. Emily quickly has her hands full as Mary swarms in with punches into the face and head. Emily backing up, jabbing back fiercely to try to stop the rampaging Winnie. Emily finally cracks a right of Mary’s jaw that brings her to a dazed halt. Emily then surges forward herself, busting up Mary to the face and working that jaw. Mary backing towards the ropes fast, looks to be in trouble, but then she suddenly sidesteps and drives a straight right into Emily’s temple. Emily staggers and tries to turn to face Mary, BAM! Mary rips a right uppercut into Emily’s chin to snap her head back and Emily’s long legs fly out from under her! DOWN ON HER BACK GOES EMILY D! Mary heads for the neutral corner as Emily pushes herself into a sitting position and looks around in bewilderment. However Emily quickly realizes she’s being counted out and struggles to her feet to beat the ount at “NINE!” Referee soon waves Mary back in. Emily boldly goes forward to confront Mary and they have a start exchange of head shots before time runs out. MEW ow has a knockdown and she has won the round wide.

R5: Emily and Mary both aggressive this round as they come out fast and start head hunting. Punches going almost entirely to the side of the head, jaw, chin or straight into the face. Face shots are lumping the two up and blood is trickling from Mary’s nose and down Emily’s right cheek from a cut on her cheekbone. The action begins to slow as both fighters showing signs of brains full of ringing bells and tweeting birds. Then Emily rips the ol’ One-two: Right Cross/Left Hook off Mary’s chin AND DOWN ON ALL FOURS GOES MARY! Emily makes her way to the neutral corner and looks back hopefully as referee stands over Mary counting. Mary panting hard, blood and sweat dripping from fac, pulls herself together and slowly rises to break the count at “EIGHT!” Emily looks frustrated, but comes in promptly when referee restarts the action. Mary goes out to meet her. They both right for the head and land cracking blows to the jaw that causes both to stumble away. For a moment, some in crowd think they with both go down, but they steady themselves and head back in. However this time both fighters keep their mitts up around their faces and strike the body to finish round. However Emily D now has her second knockdown of the bout and wins round wide.

R6: Mary now crowds in close to Emily as soon as she can get to her. Emily taking the challenge as she and Mary battle it out toe to toe. Foreheads are nearly touching, eyes bore into one another and the punches keep coming and coming. Short, destructive rights and lefts fired up into straining, sweaty bodies with a wet smack of leather against wet flesh or fabric. Mary getting better leverage with her feet and she is pushing Emily slowly back. Great action has crowd on its feet cheering them on to the bell. DING! DING! The two step back, study each other and then turn away. Judges take a while but finally give it to Mary Winstead by a narrow margin.

R7: Emily and Mary go right back at it as R7 commence. In close and whacking hard to the body. Breasts, ribs and bellies are getting worked over again and again. Ringsiders can hear the gurgling gasps as the blows strike home and almost feel the desperate determination of the battling beauties. This time, Emily finds MEW’s solar plexus and pounds it. Mary cries out and stumbles back, but recovers quickly to keep Emily from a successful follow up. Mary clearly hurting, backs away behind a defensive jab that Emily is unable to pierce before time expeires. Another lose round, but this one goes to Emily DiDonato.

R8: Hard work in both corners, but especially the Foxfire corner. Mary’ bruised solar plexus now a matter of deep concern. Foxfire Lightweight Trainer Rachel Nichols whispering in Mary’s ear. Mary nodding. Soon after, the bell rings and out they come. Emily moving quickly towards a slower moving Mary as she senses she’s Winstead hurt. However, as soon as Emily goes within range, Mary suddenly jumps forward and BLASTS a right into Emily’s then, then THWACKS home a left to the chin. EMILY STUMBLES FORWARD AND COLLAPSES! Emily face down, arms at her sides, just softly moaning, Mary heads for neutral corner and she (along with the crowd) waits to see if Emily can rise again. Emily does stir and pushes herself up with her arms, but then her arms quiver and she collapses back to the canvas.

“NINE!...TEN!....YOU’RE OUT!” cries the official.

THE WINNER AND STILL FCBA LIGHTWEIGHT CHAMPION: MARY ELIZABETH WINSTEAD DEFEATS EMILY DIDONATO KO8!

After: Mary warmly congratulated by teammates Alexandra Daddario and Sophie Turner. Mary climbs turnbuckle and raises her arms to salute her cheering fans. She hobs down and her her gloves removed. By this point, she can see that Emily DiDonato has been revived on her stool. Mary strides across the ring.

“OK, Em, time for you take a walk with me,” Mary says.

Emily scowls: “All right, all right.”

Emily gets up and Mary gets an arm around her waist. They take their stroll, but they are barely half done when Mary reaches down and grabs the back of Emily Emily’s purple panties. She yanks them in a wedgie that has a protesting Emily on her tiptoes as they finish the walk. Emily is seething as they reach the Fates corner. She angrily pulls away from Mary.

“I warned you not to humiliate me!” Emily cries. “You went and did it anyway! I swear I will get you for this!”

Mary smiles: “How else could I be sure you’d want to fight me again? It will have to be after my title run. You’ve had your shot, but the year is young. There will be an opportunity for revenge-- eventually.”

“You better believe it!” Emily shot back.

“I’ll be waiting. Oh., and another thing—great fight Emily—you’re really good. Keep fighting, you’ll get this belt from somebody else one of these days,” Mary said and moved away.

Emily looks more than a little dumbfounded: “That girl really is nuts--I can’t wait to fight her again!”

Once again Mary Winstead comes off the canvas to pull out a fight. Emily DiDonato scored two knockdowns, but it wasn’t enough. Emily tough herself as it took two knockdowns for Winstead to get her down to stay. Fans already hoping to see these two in action again and more than few are regretting they didn’t start sooner in their careers. That is all history. For now, fans can savor a great title fight and wonder what comes next for these two, especially who will Mary’s next title defense be against?
