Asuka Kuramochi vs Samia Ghadie
(Front Street Japan vs Beever's Babes)
(3-1, 1 KO vs 39-46, 34 KO)
Results: BBU; Story: Vassago

BEFORE: It's time for the Jewels #9 Main Event where Asuka Kuramochi hopes to underline her status as the top Japanese flyweight force this side of Mikie Hara. The lovely singer shocked the BBU world when she knocked out Mimi Perkins in Melbourne two months ago and she wants to build on this performance at the expense of Samia Ghadie. The Corrie babe is set to enjoy a very busy schedule in the upcoming weeks having triggered a trash-talking feud with the aforementioned Mimi Perkins lately and some pundits believe she has to be smarter than that if it's actually possible. Samia has done it all in BBU yet Ayako Hamada claims she will end up on her knees begging for mercy tonight! Meanwhile Asuka still lacks the confidence to rub the preview in the British veteran's face and allows her manager to do all the talking instead.

Asuka Kuramochi wears a black bikini set & silver gloves. Long black hair tied in a half-up ponytail. Samia Ghadie wears a yellow bikini set & red gloves. Long light brown hair tied in a custom ponytail. The fight is scheduled for ten rounds in the flyweight division.

Round 1:
Samia on the pounce early... she lands the first hook on Asuka's nose and takes it from there spraying leather from both flanks but the local favorite survives the initial burst and triggers a hectic response landing some nice overhands into the Brit's face. Samia barks in anger and ups the slugging drill hoping to break the brunette's resilience but Asuka spins away from her range and works a cross hooking route to shake off the threat. Samia still leaps into more phone booth contact before a clash of heads slows her down. Asuka recovers first to plug a couple of shots into the exposed midriff and pummels the Mancunian veteran back to the ropes with a crowd-pleasing burst. The Japanese fans need some outright success given how the card went thus far and Kuramochi basically steals the opening round thumping all those quick shots in close range with Samia unable to stop them at all. Bell.

Round 2:
Another quick start from the Corrie stalwart who glues her mitts into the singer's face but leaves no lasting impression during the initial tangle. Asuka can seriously take a mean punch or two and she unloads the overhand response in the second minute that slumps Ghadie on the spot. A left/right combo spins the Brit to the side and she has to yield real estate in a hurry as Kuramochi bounces her to the turnbuckle where she picks up the slugging heat... Samia tries to fire back up the middle but fails to match the singer's intensity and soaks up more clean hits on her face. Ugh! She wobbles behind a tight earmuff which allows Asuka to ride out a supreme wave for remainder of the round. Samia cuts a shaken up figure at the bell but still throws a verbal dart towards the Front Street Japan corner where coach Kei Mizutani pretends she doesn't understand the Manc accent (which probably is true).

Round 3:
More slugging pellets from Ghadie but she runs into a high wall here and just can't rise above all the counter-punching swings down the stretch. Asuka moves much faster across the canvas as well and spins away whenever the Corrie babe tries to crank up the heat. Same old story here... Samia looks dangerous in the first minute, flatlines in the second and gets bounced around in the third. She ends up hugging the ropes again with Kuramochi working on the numbers but even BBU TV's Georgie Thompson points out the Asian prospect doesn't exactly own a big punch overall. Still enough to clean up Ghadie's pocket despite all the angry looks from the Beevers' corner.

Round 4:
Samia steps up into a booming right hand that finally rocks the local favorite and allows the tourist to run up the score for longer than 30-odd seconds. A left hook cuts Asuka below the eye and stuns the otherwise composed coaching staff and it quickly gets worse as Ghadie drops a hammer on the navel and finds major success punching the younger brunette to the body. Uh-oh! Kuramochi wobbles back to the ropes where she abandons the counter-punching drill for no vaild reason and allows Samia to smack her in all-or-nothing style. The Corrie babe gets vocal as she rocks the singer's head back & forth before another booming hook catches her on the temple and drops into loud spasms right at the bell. That's the best round for Samia so far and suddenly she's feeling very confident again!

Round 5:
Here comes Ghadie for the kill... or not... she blows a left hook into Asuka's mouth but then shoots over her shoulder with the follow up and ends up getting whacked on the boobs instead. Kuramochi digs a stray elbow on target and lands one overhand on the nose to establish phone booth control. Both girls trade single shots in the hole before a clash of heads slows them down again... Asuka picks up the pieces first and slices the Brit's high-guard but can't quite push her onto the ropes until it's almost too late to make a difference. She barges Samia in the boobs to raise the complaints from Denise Lewis in the Beevers corner but that's a mere distraction and Asuka bangs away to clean up the Mancunian midsection in the closing seconds leaving Ghadie visibly out of breath at the bell.

Round 6:
Fatigue kicks in for the British veteran who gets outworked in the early stages of the sixth and eats a brutal hook on the ear that leaves her seeking a desperate clinch. Asuka shakes off those efforts and plugs more leather in the cleavage draining her foe of more energy, she shoves her onto the ropes with one quick push-off and swings a left hook on the jaw that drops Ghadie into real trouble... look out... another left hook catches the Corrie veteran flush on the jaw and SENDS HER DOWN on her backside in the corner. Tokyo Dome errupts in joy and Samia is badly shake up by that chin-checker. She tries to beat the count but then slumps against the bottom rope and almost slides onto the judges' table here clearly feeling too dizzy to continue! KO6 Asuka Kuramochi!!!

AFTER: Front Street Japan avoids the Jewels Vol. 9 whitewash and the local media are ready to crown Asuka Kuramochi as the new flyweight hope outside of the usual JMD contenders. She took her time to get the better of Samia Ghadie but perhaps the Mimi Perkins upset victory put too much pressure on the Yokohama-based singer? The spotlight will only get bigger going forward!

Meanwhile Samia is back to operational status five minutes after the knockout defeat and claims she's coming to snatch some Aussie wigs next: "I had this lousy tramp on the ropes but she got one lucky combo in! Whatevz! I hope Mimi & her slutty sister get some tongue practice because they are licking my legs top to bottom very soon! Let's frickin' go!"

Official Result: Asuka Kuramochi def. Samia Ghadie KO6.
