And the next match is between returning boxers, Natalie and Hayley! While both girls had a decent start in her career, they had been struggling with making an impact lately! Who will make the first break?

Natalie Yeo (29, 5’7, 2-3)

Hayley Lee (28, 5’6, 2-4)

Pre-match: Hayley wears turquoise sports bra with white tights, complete with red gloves. Natalie wears a purple sports bra with black tights, complete with black gloves. Both girls have their hair up in a ponytail.

R1:
Hayley comes out hot, unlike her usual approach, nailing Natalie with a jab-cross-uppercut combo that puts her opponent on her toes. Natalie tries to counter but Hayley’s defense is tight, more often landing on her arms and elbows than her critical parts. Hayley continued to attack with moderate success until the end of round one. Hayley takes round one with good showing from the start.

R2:
Natalie collects herself and prepares for Hayley’s onslaught. Keeping a tight guard, Natalie forges forward and goes for a body strike! Hayley winces and she bends over to her side but follows up with a left hook then sends Natalie scrambling. Natalie regains her balance and both girls slowly approach each other once more. Hayley ducks low and sends Natalie back pedaling with a right uppercut into the belly. Natalie gasps for air and clutches her stomach, leaving herself wide open but the bell rings before Hayley could capitalize. A fierce round with Hayley taking a narrow lead.

R3:
Natalie switches her tactic as Hayley seeks to press on her advantage. Hayley moves forward swiftly while Natalie keeps her guard tight. Natalie blocks Hayley’s flurry of attacks and swipes Hayley by the chin upon seeing an opening. Hayley is shaken and Natalie pounces on her! Hayley quickly puts up her guard and retreats as the table turns. Natalie patiently waits for Hayley to approach, choosing not to waste energy chasing her opponent. Natalie takes this round wide.

R4:
Natalie charges in with confidence but nearly gets her head taken off by Hayley. Natalie staggers but quickly collects herself. As Hayley approaches with a cross, Natalie ducks under and unloads a right hook into Hayley’s midriff, driving air out of her lungs. Hayley retreats and Natalie chases this time, pressuring her into the corner and buffeting her with a mix of body blows. Hayley clinches to stop her offense as well as to move out the corner. After the short respite, Hayley manages to keep up with Natalie’s attack for the rest of the round. While it’s obvious that Natalie has taken this round, she appears gassed after the offensive.

R5:
Natalie feints a left but Hayley doesn’t fall for it. Hayley ducks the follow up right cross as well and sneaks in a left uppercut to Natalie’s midriff! Natalie stumbles forward and quickly finds herself in the ropes while Hayley lays a series of body shots to her tender mid-riffs. Natalie guards her head with mittens on her side but Hayley blasts through her guard with a potentially match ending uppercut! Natalie goes down! Hayley backs into her corner as demanded by the official.

1…2…3…4…5…6…7…8… she’s up!

Face flushing, Natalie nods her head to indicate she can continue the fight. Hayley continues to look for a match ending blow but fails to find one.

R6:
Both girls are looking visibly tired from their heavy breathing and glistening skin. Refusing to yield, Natalie charges in and belts Hayley into her mid-riffs while Hayley hits back with a hook to Natalie’s cheeks. Both fighters turn up a notch and go all out on each other. Out of nowhere, Natalie sends Hayley’s spit and mouthguard flying with an open right hook and Hayley goes down for the count!

1…2…3…4…5…Hayley gets up on her feet but struggles to keep her balance…6…7…Hayley backs into the ropes, speaking gibberish while the ref continues to count…9…10!

Winner by KO6, Natalie Yeo!

Post-match: Hayley argues with the referee, claiming she was up before 10! But the ref insists that she wasn’t in the condition to continue. Hayley throws her glove onto the ground in a fit of anger and walks towards the winner, demanding for a rematch.
