Laura Pausini vs. Miley Cyrus (Results: Lookout. Words: Wiz)

BEFORE:

The storyline has to be getting old for Laura. The former Italian lightweight champ is STILL seeking her first FCBA win after a whopping 28 tries. And, it's getting to the point where nobody wants to be THAT girl, the one who gets beaten to break the long streak. And, that clearly goes double for former flyweight champion Miley Cyrus. "Look," says the blonde beauty. "My goal is to get GOLD back around my waist. It's not to be involved in some side show. But, management signed this. So, here we are. But, we won't be here for LONG."

"Well, Miley clearly thinks I'm no one to worry about," says Laura with a smile. "Which will make it THAT much more delicious when I knock her out!"

ROUND ONE:

Miley on the move. She's not going to stand and trade with the bigger woman. And, Laura, clearly expecting exactly these tactics, handles the movement well. She stalks, cuts the ring, steps to, brings her power to bear. Cyrus slick, though. She keeps those exchanges short, slipping away back to open canvas over and over. Result is good, two-way stuff. Cyrus is scoring well at range, but Pausini makes up most of that stagger when she gets inside and can get physical with the younger woman. Thus, there's not much in it the entire way, despite the efforts of both women to grab some sort of control. Instead, the back-and-forth nature of the stanza continues right to the bell, and, when it rings, it's Miley who's done just enough to take the points and the 10-9 lead.

ROUND TWO:

Same again. Miley on the move and Laura stalking. Pausini moving very, very well, cutting the ring, stepping to, working some body. Cyrus quickly slipping away, wants space, and she's using those excellent legs to get it. BOOM! Right hand from Miley catches Laura coming forward and PAUSINI is HURT! Laura stumbles, covers up, and now the blonde goes all in, winging away with both hands, driving the Italian backward. Pausini clinches, hangs on, but the blonde punches free and lands a VICIOUS left uppercut that cuts the power to Laura's legs! Pausini falls backward to the canvas, bouncing once before coming to rest on her back right arm over her head bent at the elbow left at her side, legs splayed. Miley bounces to a neutral corner. The ref begins a count, but quickly waves it off. Laura is OUT and it's OVER and your winner by KO2 is Miley Cyrus!

AFTER:

Pausini brought around in stages, while Miley smiles through the post-fight. "Just not in my league," the blonde says with a shrug. "I mean, I'm a champion, not in some backwater, but, right here in the FCBA. And, as I said, I'm GOING to get those belts back. And, anyone who gets in my way ends up exactly the way Laura did. Exactly."
