BEFORE:
Up next on the PPV, we have a couple of top-tier Flyweights both looking to cement their places at the top of the league rankings. Avril enters the press hall earlier, looking kinda smug after back-to-back wins over the likes of Cree Cicchino and Isabella Gomez, and having extended her winning streak to three.

"I'm fighting Big bad Abigail tonight…” the Canadian singer snorts. “b*tch should totally be fighting at Bantam, or at like, Lightweight or something. She's kinda too big if you ask me, but whatever. I'm still going to kick her ass. There's no way she can handle my speed and my experience. This one's a done deal lads!” Avril ends with a laugh. “Cuz you know what they say....the bigger they are...the...easier they fall? or something, lol.”

It’s true that famed American actress Abigail Breslin usually fights at Bantamweight and within the JMD circuit - the Little Miss Sunshine actress is famed for both her on-screen skills and ability to knock smaller gals clean off their feet. Could this be the main reason why Breslin ain’t looking too troubled when she responds to Avril’s comments next?

“I know what I’m getting myself into tonight,” Breslin says. “Avril’s got the tougher and more consistent fight schedule, and she’s the one who’s getting all these title shots. She ain’t winning them, though. But she’s won enough in the past few years to make her a dangerous opponent. I’m not gonna take her lightly, that’s for sure.”

Not much difference in the height department but Breslin is clearly the stockier of the two fighters when they face off at the podium for the official staredown. Avril’s got the experience but that of course comes with the huge age differential, and though the Doll has fought plenty of similar, younger prospects in the past, she’s still got to watch out for those weak points.

Hours later, Abigail enters the arena first, still looking confident as she throws up a pair of white gloves to acknowledge the crowd. The rest of the arena welcomes her with equal eagerness, applauding the American actress as she strides down the ramp wearing a white sports bra and long red tights. Up next is the Dollhouse Punk-Princess, with Lavigne making her grand entrance to her new song “Bite Me”, clad in her usual black and pink sports bra and short shorts and similar-coloured gloves, her hair in a high ponytail. Most girls in the locker room would kill for such a strong schedule, and even though she’s turning 38 this year, the Doll doesn’t appear to be slowing down.

Referee calls this match to action, spewing the rules to both girls who don’t care in the center, before ordering them to their respective corners. With a wave of his hand, HERE WE GO with ten rounds of Flyweight action!

ROUND 1:
Avril uses hit-and-run tactics early, and these suit her well. She doesn’t want to hang in close and bang away with someone as power-hungry as Abigail, choosing to fight defensively from a distance. It’s scoring her points at the start, as she lands a couple of early jabs clean to Abigail’s stunned face. One or two brief flare-ups occur in the first minute, with Breslin getting in close enough to power her hook into Lavigne’s arms and body, but the Doll gets wiser and stays at a safer distance for the second minute, not wanting to get caught up in those knock-out danger zones. However, Lavigne’s also discounting Breslin’s speed, with the bigger blonde having surprising speed to her frame, as she rushes Avril down several more times to the end off the round, but not before bashing her gloves into the Doll’s guard and consequently, managing to land several hits off of the singer’s ribs and torso. Not a good sign at the bell when Avril’s already massaging her sides with a hard wince or two. Nothing else she can do at this stage but suck up the pain and recalibrate for the rest of the fight…

ROUND 2:
Abigail knows she’s got both speed and power to her name, looks to take down the older blonde and then take herself out to dinner by the end of round two, if possible. Lavigne, however, fights tooth-and-nail to keep away, landing jabs back to Breslin’s face to act as a firm deterrent. And it works for the first minute, with the Doll taking every opportunity to stick that right hand into Breslin’s cheek or chin to disrupt those rapid charges her way. Breslin’s got spirit, we’ll give her that, as the younger fighter keeps throwing her defences out the window, choosing to charge Avril down whilst swinging away wildly. A fourth time, however, Breslin manages to land several shots off the arms, and another hook connecting with the side of Avril’s head, which draws a sharp gasp from the Dollhouse corner. But it’s Avril who reclaims her honour by the end of the round, successfully landing more attacks overall than her counterpart, to take it close.

ROUND 3:
Breslin’s youth means she’s got more stamina to go the long haul, and she shows that fact off when she doesn’t skip a beat at the bell, immediately CHARGES at the Doll despite doing so for over ten minutes already. Not sure how much more of this pressure Avril can take, as she scoots backwards once more and tries to swerve to either side to avoid another series of headhunting hooks. Breslin’s packing follow-up right and lefts into the Doll’s forearms, tummy-hunting as well as she earns herself several loud gasps and grunts from her lips. Mid-way, Avril’s clearly slowing down from taking this shellacking to her torso, and Breslin manages to drive her back towards the ropes but not pin her down for long, as the wiley Canadian quickly (or luckily) ducks under another stray hook before paying Breslin back with a stiff hook to her torso, another bashing into the chin to disorientate. Not enough firepower to stop Abigail’s assault entirely, but it’s Avril Lavigne who puts on a valiant defence for herself this time.

ROUND 4:
Back and forth they go, as Lavigne digs deep to try and pull ahead (or at least, even the score). She’s moving a whole lot faster this round, which amazes some of the pundits in the rafters, as the Doll bobs and weaves around several of Breslin’s early attacks going in, before dinging a right hook off her chin, and another shocking blow to the body for payback. For the first time, Breslin’s the one being driven backwards, looking a little shaky, but her arms are already up and over her face as Lavigne decides to chase after with more strikes. Breslin fights back in the second half, however, also using a mixture of offense and defense to rock a hook over the arms and into Avril’s forehead, before the Doll almost gets blown off her feet by another right cross sent to the middle of her arms. Not enough time, however, for either girl to dominate and seize the advantage, and the end result is Lavigne can celebrate just a little at the bell, when her corner reassures her that she’s taken this round by a close margin again.

ROUND 5:
So far, so good, as Avril continues to show off her improved stamina for someone her age. Not to diss the Canadian singer in that way, but when you’re fighting against someone twelve years younger, it takes both a lot of guts and plenty of hard work to pull off a convincing victory. Avril shocks the world tonight as she lands more precise punches into Abigail’s face, disrupting an early hook aimed high with a right cross that squishes the lips, and throws Breslin’s head back. All downhill for the Free Puncher fighter thereafter, as she refuses to back down and eats more left-right-left combos to the nose and lips in rapid succession, her own power swings unable to land on the well-trained and seasoned fighter. Avril remains focused for now, picking and choosing her attacks and pushing the youngster backwards one step at a time. Breslin’s forced to do more defending for once, keeping her guard locked over her face in the final seconds of this round, even as Avril’s punches keep landing left and right off her torso and arms. We suspect the Dollhouse Queen has surged ahead in terms of points, and with this wide round won for herself, she may have finally turned a corner for herself!

ROUND 6:
First minute sees your traditional face-off, as both blondes circle each other, but Avril is still looking for those wider openings: just before Breslin pulls back to make her attack, to shock her to the face like last round. Trouble is, Breslin’s caught wind of this tactic, also keeps her distance for the first minute and refuses to rush in to get caught by Avril’s jabs. Second minute sees Lavigne walking in for more tentative action, thinking Breslin’s got the shits and giggles and is about ready to go down, but her jab combos are taken cleanly on the arms before the younger American stuns her back with a hard right to the kisser, yet another combo chasing her back before getting sunk into her stomach. Avril’s not looking too good all of a sudden, reeling hard as she realises her mistake and tries to scramble backward to regroup. But it’s Breslin’s turn to wade in and try her luck - the youngster blows Lavigne back with more bombs that ROCK her arms and body. Even when Avril tries to turn tail and run, moving away from the bigger blonde a lot faster, Breslin just floors the accelerator and chases after her foe, catching Avril with another overhand right to the temple that blasts the groaning Canadian, sending her tumbling to her left as the crowd “Oooohhs” in excitement and shock. The Doll trying desperately to stay on her feet and back away from big bad Abigail but it’s no use as Breslin is all over her – poor Avril gets ROCKED by several more BIG punches to her wilting guard that send her stumbling and flying in whichever direction, having NO answers as she gets womanhandled all around the ring by the younger blonde! It’s not long before the overwhelmed Lavigne finds herself cornered with nowhere else to run! All the Doll can do is hold her ground and weather the assault, covering up and making herself small as Breslin rushes in to power more shots into her body and arms! Avril’s guard slowly wilting under the bigger girl’s fire, and she’s already stumbling side to side with each power hook connecting across her forearms or head! Abigail’s in NO real rush, knowing full well she’s got another minute or so on the clock to have her way with her opponent! Slowly, Breslin unleashes more punches, under the arms to smack the stomach or through the guard to blast the singer’s pretty face as Avril yelps in panic. One final uppercut swishes below the arms, blasting the Canadian’s head backwards as her back hits the corner post with a thump, Lavigne slumping groggily in the corner, her head rolling in shock, and the only things holding her up are her arms draped over the top rope on either side! One more punch for the road, as Breslin takes a step-in before swinging high - KAPOW!! Lavigne didn’t even try to defend that last one, as she goes crumbling down to the mat on her butt, her arms and legs no longer able keep her up after getting battered senseless for two full minutes! It’s one hell of a KNOCKDOWN for Abigail Breslin!! Could this be it?!

Lavigne’s looking out of it, leaning against the corner post on her butt with her arms and gloves limply at her side, breathing hard and looking utterly deflated, her face barely visible amidst the mess of frayed hair and sweat as her head slumps sideways, resting lifelessly on the second rope. She can definitely hear the referee’s counts rising slowly above her while Breslin pumps her fist grins widely for the cameras on the way to the neutral corner. Too bad then that the Punk-Princess remains almost completely still for the rest of the count except for her heaving chest and belly sucking in air as the panting Canadian looks shell-shocked, barely managing to even lift her groggy head off the ropes. No further attempt to continue fighting from the self-proclaimed Flyweight Queen of the Dollhouse, as the referee finally hits the count of 10 and WAVES this fight off! It’s OVER!

Official Decision: Abigail Breslin defeats Avril Lavigne via KO6!

AFTER:
HUGE win for Abigail Breslin, perhaps the biggest of her young career so far as she absolutely demolishes Lavigne in the 6th and sends her down for the count in an impressive display of power and determination tonight!
A standing ovation from the crowd for the grinning blonde who gets her arm raised by the ref in the center of the ring and proceeds to playfully flex her biceps for the victory pose before running to hug it out with her team shortly after!
A sad night for Lavigne and her fans as the singer was coming in hot tonight after 3 straight wins only to get simply overpowered by the younger, stronger actress. The Doll has been known to struggle against girls who pack a lot of powertonight was no different as Avril had little answers to Abigail’s brute force and bulk, struggling to seriously hurt the bigger blonde while failing to keep her defenses from crumbling in front of her power.

As Avril’s team rush in to help their battered fighter, Abigail is intereviewd inside the ring about her big win tonight.

“It feels amazing. I’ve been working hard for this and I’m just happy whenever I get results. I lost my previous fight but I knew I wasn’t going to let myself lose tonight. I went all out on her. It’s my biggest win to date and I couldn’t be happier! Avril’s very experienced and she knows what she’s doing in there, most of the time….but she didn’t give me the respect I deserve and I made her pay for it. I think the results speak for themselves…” Breslin chuckles, glancing behind her at the defeated singer who’s still slumped in the corner on her ass surrounded by her medical team, looking like she’s just been ran over by a bulldozer. “I know she usually wants to take some revenge on girls who beat her and all, so I’m just gonna say it right now – If you really wanna mess with me again, I’ll gladly beat you again - whenever you’re ready Av.”

Wild cheers from the fans as Breslin makes her statement and exits the ring with an impressive win to add to her resume which will surely catapult her up the rankings, leaving Lavigne in need of a long recovery and it remains to be seen if and when she’ll dare to challenge the Free Punchers star again.
