MILLIE BOBBY BROWN VS DANIELLE ROSE RUSSELL
Results: Lookout Writing: Archer
Millie: 19 YO, 5’4 (1.63 m), 3-0-0, 3 KO since 2022, Lookout! Boxing
Danielle: 23 YO, 5’3 (1.60 m), 8-8-0 since 2019, Foxfire Boxing
Lookout rookie Mille Bobby Brown (STRANGER THINGS/ ENOLA HOLMES) now faces off against a young member of her stable’s oldest rivals: Foxfire Boxing’s Danielle Rose Russell (LEGACIES). The two eye each other warily at the pre-fight press meeting.
“Welcome to the FCBA,” says DRR, “I hear you’ve managed to win your first three fights.”
“Thank you, but I like to think it was my talent and growing skill that achieved that,” Millie replies. “I realize that some have had to work harder on it than others.”
“What’s that supposed to mean?” Dani demands.
“They told you Foxfire ladies are very sensitive about your records. I see there is truth to that. I would think a .500 record after 16 fights is a lot better than some of you have.”
“I think you’ll find it works much better if you look to the future rather than your past,” Danielle says with a frown.
“Oh, I definitely look to the future. Dealing with someone from Foxfire is definitely going to be a major step upward for me,” Millie continues. “I realize you are far from the only stable around, but I can see beating Foxfire is always a special thing for my organization. Naturally I want to do my part.”
“And beating down you arrogant Lookout girls, is always a special thing for anyone from Foxfire,” Danielle growls.
“You think I am arrogant? I just feel confident in myself and my abilities. I don’t claim to be ready for a title fight, but I am certainly ready to deal with you.” Mille informs Danielle.
“Nol you are not ready and you are going to find that out very quickly. I can promise you that!” Danielle snaps.
Millie smiles with faux sweetness: “We’ll see what you have to say about that the fight.”
“I plan to have plenty to say—see you then!” DRR concludes dismissvely and departs the stage.
“See you!” Mille calls after her and she chuckles. “I am just loving needling her, This fight is going to fun—for me.”
Come Fight Night, Mille Bobby Brown is in a blue and white striped bikini with dark blue gloves and boots. Light blue laces. Bobbed hair loose, but wetted down. Danielle Rose Russell with light purple halter top sports bra and black bikini bottoms. Light purple gloves and boots with black laces. Auburn hair pulled back in a battle braid. Two are tight-clipped as they eye each other and only move to nod as referee ges over the rules. Then there is a quick glove and they scurry to their corners. Then, finally, the bell rings…
R1: Early circling at center ring with some tentative punches thrown, but then DRR makes her move stuffing hooks into MBB’s midsection, Millie grunting as the shock waves go through her body, but then Dani hits Millie hard to the jaw with big right. Follow up left smites the opposite jaw. Millie suddenly on rubbery legs as she falls back, trying to protect her head as DRR fires in follow-up head shots. Millie backing up, trying to dodge and evade as DRR pursues with confidence. Round ends as Millie is trying to stay off the ropes under pressure from Dani. Danielle Russell. Round to DRR—wide.
R2: Action resumes with Millie firing in quick clipping shots off Dani’s chin. Dani responds with a burst of hooks into Millie’s abs. Millie moving in closer to bring her leather into Danielle’s midsection. Now the two are going at it hard and fast to the body. Millie can’t help noticing DRR’s bulging bra and starts adding uppercuts that make Dani’s bra cups bounce. DRR gritting her teeth and giving right back into Millie’s chest, but then gets a sneaky uppie into her chin that knocks her head back and rates her knees. Now Millie pounds Danielle’s belly and Dani is put back on her heels. DRR going for Millie’s belly and they whack away to the bell. Result is a closely fought round but Millie Bobby Brown wins it on the judge’s cards.
R3: Danielle challenges Millie up close and personal once again. Two are very quickly toe to toe and pumping short right and left shots into each other’s straining torsos. Furious action as neither young fighter wants to be the first to back off. Millie seems to be getting extra leverage from her shots and as the round rages on, DRR starts to shudder as the impacts and especially those working her chest are clearly having an effect. Dani slowly wilting under Millie’s relentless pressure and is being pushed back step by step as the round ends. Danielle is gulping air into her aching lungs at the break. She looks shell shocked as she turns away. Millie quiet, but a smile comes to her face as she returns to the Lookout corner. Still, it was a close round, but, once again Millie Bobby Brown has punched her way to a narrow points victory.
R4: Danielle not happy about body beating she took in the previous two rounds. She comes out and strikes from a distance with a head turned right to the jaw. Millie staggered by the blow and DRR is quick to pour on the follow-up punches to Millie’s jaw, chin and side of the head. Millie in retreat, trying to protect her head as only now does Danielle return to Millie’s body to apply more punishment. Millie is soon all hunched up, gloves at her head, only able to push out a few counters as DRR dances around her. Danielle hounding Millie towards the ropes, but Millie able to keep scooting away until time runs out. Nice comeback round for Dani who wins the round wide.
R5: Out they come for the new round and this time it is Millie Bobby Brown moving just a bit faster and she RIPS home an right uppercut and then SMASHES home a left to the jaw. Danielle staggers forward a few steps and then Mille unloads with a right to the jaw. DRR sent reeling towards the nearby ropes and she hits the strands, her knees buckle and she sinks to all fours! Millie scoots off to the neutral corner as referee starts counting and Dani tries to rise. She has to grasp the ropes, but she makes it up in time to break the count. Referee looks dubious as DRR insists: “She just got lucky! I can go on now!” Referee finally waves Millie back in and Dani unable to dodge Millie’s right/left combo to the chin that sends the red haired young woman back against the ropes. Now Millie just swings away at Dani’s head trying to bring her down. Dani is seated on the ropes and this is keeping her up as Millie knocks her head from side to side. Ringsiders scream for referee to stop this massacre! AND REFEREE STEPS IN! Dani sagging into the official’s arms as Millie raises her arms in triumph.
THE WINNER MILLIE BOBBY BROWN DEFEATS DANIELLE ROSE RUSSELL TKO5!
After: “I am glad the referee stepped in,” Millie remarks to press, “she was just too stubborn for her own good. She’s brave but even a rookie like me knows there is point where you have to protect yourself and just give up. Otherwise, it was a very satisfying win. I realize there are a lot of good young flyweights out there and I probably won’t always win, but I feel like I am definitely a rising star in the Division.”
Danielle speaks to press later: “I didn’t give up easily and that’s what I do. Maybe I held out too long this time. I am pretty hazy about the finish of the round, so probably the ref did the right thing. It sucks to lose, especially to a Lookout, but I am not about to let her think she can dominate me. We’ll meet again and it will be a different story.”
Intense battle while it lasted. Millie showed she can stand and batter it out successfully at close range with another hard puncher. However it was her longer range punching that got her the win. Now undefeated in 4 fights Millie Bobby Brown should be on a number of radar screens of future opponents. Of course, the TKO was not a happy outcome from Danielle Rose Russell who slips under .500 at 8-9, but she knows how to come have from adversity so her next opponent best be wary. |
