Kelly Hall's challenging of Paula Tumala to a fight at bantanweight was always going to be incoming after the latter's disparaging comments about Hall's victory over India Reynolds were indiscreetly caught on a Polish MTV microphone that she forgot was turned on.  Keen-eyed feature writers spotted there was beef between them after Tumala was turned down, a few years ago, for a military-themed glamour girl calendar organised by Hall.  Whilst styled a Battle of the New Moms on the back pages, both fighters had long shed the pounds put on during pregnancy and looked trim as they shadow boxed up in  the changing rooms of the  PGE Narodowy in Warsaw.   India Reynolds, who fought both women recently and controversionally lost a split decision to Hall, is backing Tumala for the win from the commentator's box.

Kelly Hall emerges wearing a white bra and panties with black mitts. Her long dark brown hair is loose. Paula Tumala wears a black one-piece swimsuit with multiple vertical cutouts & silver gloves. Her long blonde hair tied in a half-up ponytail. The fight is scheduled for ten rounds in the bantamweight division.

Hall vs Tumala: Round 1
Well, let's see what we get. Tumala shooting her jab early, body and head. Her corner is very excitable. Tumala opening up with power shots, not landing. Hall feeling it out in the first moments. Tumala keeping her lead hand active. Hall shoots a right to the body and goes for the hook upstairs, but Tumala fighting with some confidence here. Very calm approach, she has a plan. Hall to the body. Tumala keeping the left flicking and landing a bit. Body work from Hall inside, good shot got in there. Tumala looking to counter when Hall does throw.

Hall vs Tumala: Round 2
Tumala's jab still looking pretty sharp. Hall tries a right hand over the top, doesn't get it. Hall picks off a left hook and a right hand. Right to the body from Hall. Poking her own jab out now. Tumala opens up with power shots, not landing clean but scraped a good right hand in there. Her quicker hands have been a plus for her here. Jab to the body from Tumala, some thud on it. Hall with a jab up top. Right to the body, and then a hook after from Hall.

Hall vs Tumala: Round 3
Hall finding some body work again, but Tumala is still having great moments where her speed gives her a legitimate advantage. Hall trying to take some of that away with those body shots. Straying a bit low, even. And again. Hall's whacking with those body shots. Tumala peppering with the jab a bit but Hall basically ignoring it now. Tumala brings a right hand now, trying to get some respect. Hall really digging to the body now. Mostly blocking Tumala's power punches. More body shots from Hall. Hook from Tumala, body shot after, Hall with a little uppercut back. Both girls are having their moments.

Hall vs Tumala: Round 4
Tumala still very composed because Hall is not trying to push the pace thus far. And Hall basically gave away the first minute of this round. She probably isn't planning to win on the cards, of course. And there's Hall throwing some more. But then it's Tumala out-working her again. It's nothing special, but it counts, and it can win rounds if Hall doesn't land big shots. Body shot again from Hall. Right from Tumala doesn't land clean. Hall starting to look a little more aggressive; not coming out in the work rate yet, but she's got the body language. Thought Paula won this round again.

Hall vs Tumala: Round 5
Hall with body shots. Tumala trying to pepper the jab, Hall walking right into the pocket now. Another body shot. Hall finally warned for going a bit low. Tumala sucking some air on the quick break. Now a good body shot from Tumala as they get back to work. Kelly trying to chop at her some. Hall walks her into the corner and unleashes two hard body shots, then a chopping hook upstairs, but Tumala turns her around and tries to fire back. Right hand from Hall when they get back to the centre. Tumala with a nice little combo. This is an interesting fight so far.

Hall vs Tumala: Round 6
Getting a little messier in close quarters. Tumala’s not fading out there or getting bullied, either. Good body shots from Tumala now. Kelly whacks to the body, didn't have a lot on it once it landed, long and slapping. Hall to the body, then stops and Tumala is still just there, and ready to throw back. Hall's plan to wilt Tumala might still work, sure, but Tumala clearly not going away like Hall hoped she would have by now. Good round for the Pole.

Hall vs Tumala: Round 7
Hall definitely more frustrated than she hoped to be at this point in the fight. Tumala not going away. Hall wants to scrap inside, but she's also not really winning when she gets those chances. she does some good work, but Tumala does, too. And now Hall turning it up, but Tumala cuts her off with a good right hand. Tumala not working quite as much this round. Corner wants her to get back on the jab.

Hall vs Tumala: Round 8
Hall with a nice little uppercut. Trying to jab away and outwork Tumala, even if it's just poking and keeping Tumala from throwing, it's one way to do that. Tumala pushes forward, misses a hook and a right hand. Another uppercut from Hall. Tumala with a hook to the chin. Both girls tired at this point. Hall with the overhand right. A minute left in the round. Hall coming forward. Good right that may have hurt Tumala a bit! But Paula moves forward with the shoulder and throws back when she's steady! Hall throws a wild overhand right that doesn't land. Tumala hanging on. Still a bit unsteady. Tumala knocked back into the ropes! BARELY SURVIVES THE ROUND! Tumala sticks her tongue out at the bell.  If she was hurt there, she isn’t showing it.

Hall vs Tumala: Round 9
Tumala again trying to assert herself some in the opening minute of this round. Fight could be on the line in these final two; I think it is, but of course never any idea how the three official judges have it. Either one may only need to ride out the final six minutes. Hall looks every bit as tired as Tumala, if not more so. Good body shot from Tumala, she's really standing her ground here and telling Kelly Hall that she's not going anywhere. And she's once again just outworking Hall. Hall trying to steal it late, but Tumala not letting her do that and in fact pushes Hall back into a corner. Referee getting in Tumala's face twice this round but no points taken.

Hall vs Tumala: Round 10
Hall trying to dig to the body again, but Tumala's already built a lead in the first half of this round. Plenty of time, of course, but Hall really needs to get going here if she wants to be sure of this. Deep breaths from both. Hall clubbing away with head shots. Crowd likes it. Good right late in the round from Hall. She got this round.  Both girls raises their hands at the bell, but neither looks certain.  How will the judges see it.

Kelly Hall beats Paula Tumala by a majority decision.

Post-Fight:
Interviewer: "Kelly, you got the job done there but it looked like hard work?"

Kelly:"The plan was always to hang tough early on and step it up as the fight went on.  Paula punches hard, but I knew I had hurt her in the eighth.  It was just a case of making my experience tell, and wrapping her up in the clinches to tire her out."

Interviewer: "Who's next?"

Kelly:"I'll see who calls me out on social media.  I'm enjoying fighting with the bigger girls at bantam, and after a few more bouts, I should be able to clean up when I return to fly."
