(Black Eagle Boxing vs BBU Independent)
(14-0, 14 KO vs 6-2, 6 KO)
Results: BBU; Story: Vassago

BEFORE: It's never easy to maintain the unbeaten run but Sophia Thomalla vows to extend her winning streak even if she's forced to seek unorthodox opponents while defending her BBU bantamweight title. Enter Rita Ora who found little success on the other side of the Atlantic in recent months even losing to BBU upstart Lottie Moss while trying to win the Princess of the Beach trophy. Some experts claims the exotic singer is overhyped for her status - which probably mirrors her music career to begin with - but there seems to be a shortage of women who could challenge the German champion with a straight face lately so anyone with a positive record can swing for the fences regardless of the odds.

Sophia Thomalla wears a red bikini set & golden gloves. Long brown hair with a blonde dye tied in a sleek ponytail. Rita Ora wears a white bikini set & red gloves. Long dyed blonde hair tied in a braid. The fight is scheduled for ten rounds in the bantamweight division.

Round 1:
Rita fires away in aggressive fashion almost like she feels this is the only way to upset the unbeaten opponent but the initial jabbing rush fails to make enough progress and leaves the challenger hanging however Sophia is slow to make her move and prefers to sit back and see what the singer has to offer. This allows Rita to rebound with a feisty series that finally knocks the champion's head back but the action remains glued to the center of the ring with back & forth efforts that lead into a contested performance overall. Rita screams out in delight when she appears to leave a cut under the German's left eye but then gets busted on the mouth herself as Thomalla charges with a late flurry to perhaps steal the round on points but Denise van Outen doesn't think so anyway.

Round 2:
Sophia gets more aggressive as if Rita's random screams made her really upset however the challenger responds to the task and matches the German's intensity during the opening minute and even belts her in the liver area down the stretch. Sophia closes the range thereafter and almost applies the vintage dirty clinch before firing a left hook on the jaw and forcing Ora to back off in wake of a sudden swarming charge. Rita keeps making loud noises to throw the champion off her poise but it stops working in the final minute when Thomalla cranks up the jabbing volume and laces the challenger up the chimney before another left hook cuts the singer below the right eye. Ugh! Rita tries to mount a late comeback while hugging the ropes anyway and it falls a long way off the mark while Sophia lands some extra shots on her cleavage to underline her presence.

Round 3:
Rita knocks several quick hits to the body but eats a stray elbow in the chest and gets trapped into a jabbing vacuum as Sophia keeps piling on more leather up the middle to expose the inferior guard. Ora gets vocal again but this time she scowls in discomfort as the German actress pounds her onto the ropes where she adds more belting menace to fold the British singer into loud spasms half-way through the round. Ugh! No messing around from Sophia who clearly stopped playing nice and just pounds away in fury leaving several visible marks around the blonde's midsection. Rita has to clinch the charging German but she still gets thrown onto the turnbuckle where Thomalla plugs her in the navel several times showing superior strenght in the process.

Round 4:
Sophia taunts Rita into making her move and it doesn't take a lot for the singer to lose her patience, the slugging pounce is on but Sophia gives herself a mobility challenge avoiding most of the punches before Ora finally cracks a left/right combo on the mouth to trigger another back & forth dispute in the center of the ring. Rita thinks she can match the champion in a heads up war of attrition and it all goes fine until Sophia smacks her on the left ear and slumps her into a heavy uppercut blast in the final minute. Rita loses her balance and eats more shots up the middle which forces her to yield real estate and there's very little chance she can outmuscle Thomalla while hugging the ropes so she ends up behind a desperate earmuff again to lose all the good impression from the start of the round. Woof. No wonder she shakes her head in frustration at the bell.

Round 5:
Rita seeks immediate redemption and squares up to the champion but the initial dispute leaves her with heavy damage as Sophia nails her on the nose and leaks blood upon impact before a left hook on the ear slumps the singer on soft knees. Ugh! Trying to outslug Thomalla is always a high-risk idea and the German just straight up offers a dominant force when she plugs more leather into Ora's face during the opening minute. Ugh! Rita loses her balance one more time and tries to bail out of range at the last moment but strumbles in her efforts and drops her gloves enough that Sophia can SMOKE her with a right hook on the nose that spills even more blood and DROPS THE CHALLENGER FLAT ON HER BACK amid a loud roar from the audience. Sophia walks back to her corner with her arm raised over her head while Rita is left resting on her shoulder half-way through the count before she smears the blood over her face and starts shouting at the ref but she's not getting up so the count passes her by moments later! KO5 and STILL the BBU bantamweight champion Sophia Thomalla!!!

AFTER: It's hard to figure out what Rita's problem is but she acknowledges the verdict and even gives Sophia a quick hug afterwards but the Black Eagles stable refuses to gloat in victory too much since manager Gina Wild claims they have more important things to focus on going forward: "We appreciate Rita's courage but it is what it is. You don't come back from a busted nose like that. We're trying to land some big money contract and maybe Sophia will go all international very soon as well. Is she too big for the division? Maybe not but who's gonna stop her? Doda? Alesha frickin' Dixon? Or one of those Herbert twins? They're good but not that good..." (winks).

Official Result: Ch Sophia Thomalla def. Rita Ora KO5.
