BEFORE: Both these blonde singers have struggled to find success in BBU but this is a fight that makes a lot of sense on paper since it offers Perrie Edwards and Sandy Moelling a rare chance to actually score a much-needed victory. BBU TV's Kate Abdo suggests that Sandy could well settle for a farewell bout versus Jeanette Biedermann if she can't overcome the struggling Little Mix opponent while UK fans would LOVE to see Perrie finally score a good victory. The South Shields native lost eight of her last nine bouts and Black Eagles manager/trainer Gina Wild jokes she would make more money posing nude in 'The Sun' rather than throw her body in the ring.

Round 1:
Sandy goes into an early rampage and catches Perrie cold with a swift hooking delivery that stuns the Cardiff audience including the notorious Foxes manager Frankie C. himself! The veteran German gashes Perrie's face from both sides and almost drops her for the count seconds into the opening round and it takes a wild mishit over the top of the Brit's shoulder that Sandy loses her balance and has to find her footing again. Edwards is too shocked to take advantage of this opportunity and fails to keep it together when Sandy packs another series from point-blank range soon afterwards. Ugh! Not this again but Perrie is all over the ring trying to find her range while the older blonde simply keeps driving her mitts into her face before a low shot in the navel bends the Brit sideways and traps her on the ropes wholesale. Sandy drills the exposed stomach thereafter and has to be pulled away by the ref at the bell. She shouts something to coach Wild while Foxes trainer Kelly Rowland is ready to blow her fuse right now...

Round 2:
Sandy smells a easy prey early in the second and tears into Perrie again but this time she finds a stubborn resistance as the Little Mix's finest targets a gut-checking comeback amid some wild cheers from the Cardiff audience. She knocks a stray elbow into the German's chest as well and drops a quick uppercut combo that wobbles Moelling onto her heels. The older singer swings from there regardless but loses her precision during a hectic close range dispute in the second minute while Edwards maintains the body assault and drills a number of good shots that slow the German blonde right down come the bell. Ugh! Sandy still gives the fellow blonde a lenghty bytch stare but shakes her head when she turns back to coach Wild.

Rounds 3 & 4:
Moelling loses her steam during the next couple of rounds while Perrie settles down in effective mode working more leather to the German's body. She doesn't quite threaten a whirlwind smackdown here but nobody expects her to suddenly find that elusive power supply but she also profits from more head clashes as the fight gets locked into the proverbial phone booth. Sandy appears to be the slightly stronger woman of the two but she gets dragged into a duck & weave battle as Edwards can flex her body around after all. It's the mean punch that always catches her out however Sandy is unable to repeat her opening round heroics which indicates why her career record is barely above 20%. She does her best to find that one combo that would send Perrie into more trouble but gets countered in the hole and even takes a random shot to the groin as the Geordie singer gets way ahead of herself feeling she can blow up the tiring opponent.

Round 5:
Sandy gets the early jabbing set but Perrie uses her mobility to escape more danger and flies in with the overhand response that freezes the German veteran in the center of the ring before another low hook folds her into spasms. Ugh! Perrie keeps landing those body shots until she backs Moelling onto the ropes and takes the harpoon rally to the house busting the older blonde around the liver area often enough SANDY HAS TO TAKE A KNEE just past the two-minute mark! Woof! Loud cheer from the Cardiff audience as Frankie C. drops Myleene Klass off his lap in excitement but Sandy battles back to her feet at eight and shouts something in German that triggers a nervous reaction from the Foxes corner. Here we go again and it's free-for-all swingfest but Perrie just can't land that one punch to send the fellow blonde packing before another clash of heads forces a break seconds before the bell.

Round 6:
Sandy goes for a desperate slugging attack and walks into a brutal shot on the mouth instead. Perrie yells out in delight when she notices her opponent slumps into spasms rolling down the curtains and she has a free shot to SMOKE the wobbly German on the nose. Ugh! Blood spills out of the damaged area and Sandy hits the deck in dead meat fashion almost semi-conscious during the otherwise short flight! The ref doesn't even bother with the count! KO6 Perrie Edwards like you've rarely seen her before!!!

AFTER: Talk about a major boost for the Geordie confidence as Perrie celebrates like she just won a piece of silverware! Even Myleene Klass has to take a back seat for a moment as the joyful blonde climbes the ropes and soaks up the Cardiff Arena noise! It's obviously too early to predict a major revival of Perrie's career as she enters her age 30 season since her power supply is vastly below average to sustain a winning streak but maybe her management will give her a proper run at the cherry cake anyway? Meanwhile it's another heavy blow for Sandy who might as well call Jeanette Biedermann or just call it a career according to Kate Abdo in the BBU TV booth.
