BEFORE: High-profile main event on the Dubai beach where Sports Illustrated legend Izabel Goulart takes on one of the 'stars of the future' Brooks Nader who hopes to strike it big in celebrity boxing. The Baron Rouge native missed on her lightweight championship opportunity back in September but she vows to start another winning streak at Izzy's expense tonight. Most fans realize Goulart remains a popular target for those Next Gen models - case in point being Ivana Knoll during the World Cup - but the Sao Paulo veteran claims she can still win many of these bouts and delay the retirement prospects: "I'm still in top physical shape and it doesn't take a lot of take down an over-confident opponent! These girls ain't that flash and let's see what the fuzz about Brooks is all about, shall we?"

Round 1:
Brooks draws first blood when she knocks the fellow model between the mitts and glues the leather into Izabel's face forcing the Brazilian to find a slugging response sooner rather than later. The overhand swing misses the target though so Brooks carries immediate heat from point-blank range and catches the older model cold with a meaningful attack. Ugh. Izzy has to spin away from danger as the American is not some random wannabe after all but she becomes stuck in the hole and has to embrace a hard-hitting charge that wobbles her onto her heels half-way through the round. Brooks means business here and keeps drilling the immobile opponent upstairs to the point she knocks Goulart's head back & forth without any reply before bursting a left hook on the jaw that drops the Brazilian on jelly knees. Woof. If Ivana Knoll was an underdog story then Izabel has to realize she's not winning anything through reputation anymore! Bell saves her from more damage but...

Round 2:
...Brooks quickly picks up the pace in round two and mauls the SI legend up the middle before another uppercut blast sends Izzy to roll down the curtains. She barely stays upright for like five seconds however Nader NAILS her with a wicked right hand on the eye moments later and this time gravity takes over... Izabel drops to her backside amid a loud cheer from the Dubai patrons. Books shouts "Come on!" aimed at the fallen opponent as if she expected a better resistance here and Izzy answers the count at seven before taking a pause to dust herself off the sand. Like really? Brooks isn't even too upset about that as she keeps pounding away to connect with the older brunette's face until she shuts her down on the ropes where she taunts her to show some dignity. Izabel fires back with a left hook and that's almost a highlight-worthy punch for the subdued veteran.

Round 3:
Izabel runs up a solid jabbing combo but she's unable to dominate the back & forth exchange in the center of the ring. She avoids more trouble if only Brooks appears to be holding back the storm and only a rare left/right combo on the chin forces her to kick into a higher gear again. Izabel stuffs her to the body in the second minute though and drills more of the exposed ribcage thereafter before blasting an uppercut combo on the chest that finally makes Nader look vulnerable. A quick shove on the ropes and Goulart enjoys her best spell of the night when she pummels the American's midriff in the hole and even catches her with a not-so-stray elbow in the chin. Woof. Cue in some Brazilian flags waving around the Dubai beach during the interval.

Round 4:
Izabel tries to build on that promising round but Brooks cuts down on the mercy factor and smacks the older model in the cleavage before working a left/right combo on the chin that forces Goulart into a sudden earmuff cover. She survives the subsequent brief onslaught and rattles Nader with a counter-punching heave that stuns the American on the right temple. A couple of wild hooks find the target and Brooks bounces off the Brazilian's elbow again before a booming left hook smokes her on the mouth in full swing. Uh-oh!!! She slumps into immediate spasms and Izabel DRILLS a left hook on the eye sending the former title challenger DOWN ON HER BACK to shock most of the audience!!! Get the samba party started... not quite as Brooks denies the Brazilians at the last moment by rising to her feet at eight. Ugh! There is some blood pouring from her nostrils but she's totally good to go... and Izzy makes her pay dropping bombs up the chimney to the point Nader is pounded back to the corner and only gets saved by the bell while fish-tailing out of her senses. A lucky break for the Louisiana native but can she truly recover from this extremely tough situation?

Round 5:
No, she can't! Izabel doesn't need to rewind her muay thai lessons to annihilate the ailing opponent early in the fifth as she blitzes through Nader's high-guard and knocks her head back & forth without any significant resistance until the younger brunette simply checks out of the system. Her eyes bawl to the orbit and she half-spins to catch a booming uppercut on the jaw that shatters her into instant KO demise!!! Now we can start the samba in Dubai!!! KO5 Izabel Goulart in whirlwind "don't call it an upset" fashion!!!

AFTER: This result has send the shockwaves through the social media but it truly appears Izabel has some juice left in the tank which not many fans & her fellow peers had anticipated coming into this fight. Lioness Club's Karolina Kurkova offers an open challenge which is quickly accepted as Izabel poses with her foot planted on Brooks' tummy much to the crowd's delight; she totally knocked the highly touted American out of her senses and this despite going down in the third round herself. What a story here in the Main Event!
