Tasya Teles vs. Kylie Jenner

BEFORE:

Two of the FCBA's top lightweights, and two of the FCBA's most physical lightweights meet in this one. And, both of the power hitting brunettes are showing plenty of confidence pre-fight. "Everyone knows Kylie's game," says Tasya with a smile. "But, if she's going to come right at ME? Well. This is going to be a SHORT night for her."

"Yes, she can hit," says Jenner with a smile of her own. "But, not like I can. And, I'm going to go in there and PROVE that."

ROUND ONE:

Jenner does NOT do what we've seen her do so many times before. She's not damning any and all torpedoes as she pushes forward. Instead, she's moving the feet, angling, looking to work past the taller girl's defenses. For her part, the Canadian wants to use her reach here, and she's doing a good job of it, landing the left hand to maintain distance, following on with rights. And, when Tasya's doing that, she's in control of things. At other times, however, Jenner is able to work in, work body, get physical. Teles has proven she can compete on these terms, but, in this round at least, she chooses not to. Instead, she ties up, shoves off, gives ground, works to get back to range. Add it all up, and you've got a good, two-way round that remains close to the bell. When it rings, Teles has taken the points and the 10-9 lead.

ROUND TWO:

Same again, two way action with both fighters determined to get things going on her own terms, and neither successful in doing so. Once again, there are moments when Tasya is working at range, scoring in combination, and others when Kylie is in the Canadian's grill, working body, head, body, thumping away with hard shot. And, for the second round in a row, those moments come very close to offsetting one another on the cards. No one can take control in the ring, and, thus, no one is taking control on the cards, either. Instead, we get plenty of good, two-way action with both fighters scoring power shots at times, but no one getting hurt. Once again it's close at the bell, but, this time, it's the American who gets the points, and, after two, the cards are even at 19.

ROUND THREE:

More of the same. Both fighters have a plan, and neither sees a reason to go away from it right now, as both brunettes are having success when they can get the terms they wa...BOOM! Right hand, TASYA and DOWN GOES KYLIE! Jenner caught coming forward and DROPPED by the Canadian! Teles to a neutral corner. Kylie face down on the canvas, pushes to hands and knees at seven...and barely beats the count. Ref thinks about it as he gives the younger brunette the mandatory, then waves on Tasya! Teles quickly makes with the big guns, backing Jenner up, trapping her on the ropes, and hammering away. Kylie hanging on, tying up, doing anything she can to run clock. It's a near thing, but she makes it to the bell before the ref steps in. When it rings, though, Tasya has taken the round 10-8 and Jenner is down 29-27 and in deep trouble.

ROUND FOUR:

Teles in command. She puts Jenner on the back foot early and keeps her there with hard flurry after hard flurry. Kylie giving ground, covering up, playing for time to get those sturdy legs back under her. Tasya, though, working toward a different result, getting the American out of there, and there are times when it looks like she might do it. Twice in the first two minutes, Teles lands a shot that shakes Kylie, but, Jenner ships the shell and stays afloat, and, by the final minute, she's beginning to firm up her front, fire back, give as good as she gets. Teles goes back to range, works the jab, puts together combinations, mostly keeps Jenner at bay. Kylie has moments here and there, but, when the bell rings, it's Teles wide once again, and the Canadian extends her lead to 39-36.

ROUND FIVE:

Tasya at range, in control early as Jenner is unable to work past her defenses. That changes about a minute in, as Kylie finally seems to have the legs all the way back under her. Younger brunette begins closing and banging again, to excellent effect. Again, Teles doesn't slug with, even though there's no doubt she's capable of fighting on these terms. Instead, she clinches, gives ground, moves laterally, looks to get back to range. Result is that Jenner makes up the early stagger and pulls ahead as the round moves through its final minute with Kylie able to get to her spots and get off more and more, tossing Teles to the defensive again and again. At the final bell, Jenner's claimed the round and cut Tasya's lead to 48-46 as the action-packed bout reaches the half.

ROUND SIX:

Jenner makes with the pressure. Teles works the jab and the feet to maintain distance. Canadian scoring well at range again, beginning to take control of the fight with the jab. Kylie's taken plenty of punishment here and looks to be slowing do...BOOM! Right hook, JENNER and DOWN GOES TASYA! Kylie on the inside lands a BEAST of a punch and Teles is dropped to her right side. American to a neutral corner. Ref counting down on Tasya. Teles to hands and knees at seven, pushes to her feet at nine, and collapses back to the canvas! Canadian can't stay upright and the referee waves it off! It's OVER! It's all happened so fast, Tasya's still trying to beat the count after the bell sounds, but your winner by KO6 in absolute LIGHTNING STRIKE fashion is Kylie Jenner!

AFTER:

Kylie looking like a girl who lost a fight, despite being a girl who just won one. "I told you," she says, through bleeding lips. "She can hit, but not like I can. Give her credit, though. She takes a punch better than I thought. I put some really big shots on her before she finally crumbled. But. She did. And, I knew she would."
