Intro:
Second bout of tonight in Madison Square Garden, battle for fifth place in the Diamond Boxing tournament as Karlie Kloss (2-4) hopes to improve after a bad run of form, she takes on Kate Bock (2-4) who started poorly but came on strong later in the tournament, while a mid table finish wouldn't be what they wanted when this event started, it's better then being right near the back of the field for these two proud models.

Before the clash both women got a chance to speak to fans at a press event held at the venue, Alicia Atout for the FCBA Network stood on the stage in a red dress as she awaited each fighter one at a time to step onto the stage with her, the first of this bout being Karlie walking on with a black dress that shows off her famous long legs.

Karlie gives Alicia a quick "hi" with a smile, then tells the crowd "I hope none of you are writing me off now because I lost to Lais? I'll admit that wasn't my finest hour to say the least but I will congratulate her, next time I see her in a boxing ring I won't be so pleasant shall we say" raising her right fist up to prove her point.

She then turns her attention to Kate, saying "now to you Kate, it's funny we had a similar start to our careers, you won the New Blood tournament after me, unlike me though you haven't been signed to a stable, you haven't had a shot at a title, you arguably killed off the New Blood concept where I made it a success, so how you think you can beat me I have no clue, the facts are you have always been happy making the numbers up, well be happy making them up here as I whoop you and move up the rankings to where I belong" certainly not mincing her words, Karlie waves to the fans as she heads off the stage, not looking worried even after her terrible result last month.

Kate comes on wearing a red sequin dress, she laughs as she puts an arm around her fellow Canadians shoulders and jokes "guess we should have talked on the phone about a clash of dresses" Alicia joking back that Kate looks much better as they both laugh, Kate giving Alicia a kiss on her left cheek to show they are friends off the stage and no ones dress is getting ripped off, to some fans disappointment.

Kate then gets serious as she says "joking aside this message is for you Karlie, I have heard you dismiss me plenty of times before when they mention us in the same breath, sure we both won the New Blood tournament, difference is you have been handed things for who you are friends with, don't tell me that being friends with Taylor f**king Swift never opened doors for you, including around her concerning stables, I will enjoy knocking you out bytch and proving which of us deserved our place in this tournament" Kate fired up, she pats Alicia on her left shoulder before she marches off the stage looking ready to punch a hole through something, full of fury as maybe those snipes by Karlie over the years have stuck in her like daggers.

Fight night, first through the curtain comes Karlie with her coach Kelly Hu, they walk down the aisle side by side, Karlie wearing a turquoise coloured sports bra, matching trunks, shoes and gloves, hair tied into a ponytail as the leggy fight climbs into the ring, assuring Kelly that she has got this as they bump fists.

Kate now comes out with her coach behind her, Kate has an ice cold stare aimed at the ring, she is wearing a red sports bra with a white maple leaf badge on her left bra cup, red trunks, red shoe, white gloves, while her hair is in a ponytail too, she steps into the ring pacing in her corner throwing a few punches.

Brought to the center by the referee, both fighters lock eyes as the crowd is split, neither wanting to blink first as the tension between the fighters is clear, Karlie slams her gloves on top of Kate's, Kate giving Karlie a shove as the referee gets between them before this kicks off a little early, turning to their corners, both look ready as the bell rings to start 10 rounds of welterweight action.

Round 1:
Karlie looks to dictate the action right away, landing two punch combos through the mitts of Kate, snapping back her head when she can land flush punches, Kate ducks under a jab to land a short right into the body of her opponent, then lands two left hooks to make Karlie back off, Kate now the one forcing the issue.

After a hard fought opening minute, Karlie uses her left to nudge back Kate, landing a right cross to her opponents cheek, Karlie moves away from the ropes as she stabs in a double jab to the top of the Canadian beauties head, working around her as Karlie looks more focused then she has done in months.

While Bock is getting in some nice punches around the body of Kloss, she is getting caught around her cheeks with cross punches, making her back off when a right cross nearly catches her on her eye, at the bell it's a solid start from Karlie, who stays standing as she leans against the turnbuckles in her corner, Kate sitting with a pissed off expression.

Round 2:
Back at it they go with Kate trying to be more aggressive, she is getting clipped coming in around her face, a right cross causes some swelling under the left eye of Kate, forcing her to cover up more tightly as Karlie steps into the middle of the ring, holding onto it like the queen of the castle, thudding in punches around the face and chest of Bock when she sees openings.

Landing a few solid shots out her guard, Kate is showing her toughness not to completely shell up and be bullied, problem is she looks to be facing a version of Kloss reminiscent so far of her early days in pro celebrity, crisp punching from the American is stopping Kate from getting at her.

Late in the round Kate spots her chance as she slips a straight to rifle in one to the chest of Karlie, an overhand left follows to smack the lanky model across her cheek, Kate for the first real time in the fight can get stuck in on the inside, problem is the bell rings soon enough to end the round, Kate being told off her coach to take a deep breath, her corner working on the swelling as she tells her coach she will win this.

Round 3:
Kate is being more smarter with her attacks, switching targets and using more feints, while Karlie starts off well with her piston like punches still giving Kate some problems, she is able to create an opening by slipping a jab to hammer in an overhand left to the jaw of Kloss.

Second minute sees Karlie driven back into a neutral corner by a well drilled body attack, Kate has her head down as she works, barking out in effort till Karlie can hold onto her, they are split up with Karlie getting back some of her rhythm to jab the head of her smaller opponent.

Another overhand left though smacks Karlie across her cheek, leading to Kate driving in two more punches straight into her face, Karlie needing to hold on again as her back touches the ropes, pried apart they trade in more punches as Kate is keeping in closer to Karlie, forcing the issue till the round ends, best round of the fight by a mile for Bock looks to have taken some weight off her shoulders, it's also made Karlie sit on her stool as Kelly wipes her down, a pink hue starting to form around Karlie's torso.

Round 4:
Getting more into the grill of Kloss out the gates, Kate certainly has found her mojo after a slow start, drilling in more hooks around the ribs of her opponent, getting a few punches around the sides of her head as Karlie tries to force her back, they end up grappling as Karlie pulls her opponent into a front headlock.

After being split up Kate keeps on the front foot, giving Karlie problems as she forces her to the ropes, banging in more hooks around the body, making Karlie groan as she grimaces, pushing back Kate to create space, Karlie lands a crisp one-two combo into her face, moving away from the ropes.

Things get more even with less then a minute to go, Kate is still landing crisp punches around the abs of Karlie, who is boxing more off the back foot, slamming in more of her punches into Kate's face, at the end of the round Kate nods to her crowd as she returns to her corner, knowing things are starting to get on the right tracks for her, Karlie being told by Kelly "you need to prove yourself! Do you really want this?" Karlie nods, standing early before the bell thudding her gloves together.

Round 5:
Boxing a little more off her back foot, Karlie is catching Kate stepping after her, soon a right cross catches Kate under her left eye, opening a gash as Kate yelps, Karlie seeing the blood is like a shark as she slams in a one-two combo on the cut, forcing Bock to retreat back.

After having problems the last two rounds, Karlie is starting to slam in more power punches, a right hook turns Kate's head with a mix of sweat and blood flying off, a left hook then forces Kate back a step, A HARD STRAIGHT LANDS FLUSH ONTO THE FACE OF KATE, SENDING HER TO HER BACK AS THE ACCUMULATION OF PUNCHES SEEMS TO HAVE GOTTEN TO HER!

Karlie heads to the neutral corner with a venomous stare aimed at Kate as she looks at her, 1...2...3... Kate stares at the lights with blood trickling from her cut to the canvas, 4....5....6....7.... Kate turns slowly to her front, 8...9... Pushing to all fours, as 10 she is counted out!

Winner Karlie Kloss KO Round 5

After:
That defeat to Lais might have the wake up call Karlie needed, she marches over to her defeated rival, standing with each foot on each side of Kate, arms in the air to prove her point which of these New Blood tournament winners is the best, Kate looking up with a few tears in her eyes, turning back looking humiliated by the sight.

Returning to her corner, Karlie tells Kelly "does that prove I want this?" Kelly smiling at the conviction in her fighters face, taking her blood stained gloves off, she shows them to Karlie as she replies "this is how much you proved it, she won't forget tonight in a hurry" making Karlie smile back, knowing she did a number on Kate in the end.

Getting helped over to her stool, Kate's face is washed down along with the gash being patched up, she looks ashamed that she lost this fight, finishing sixth in the end as Karlie can crow she beat her and finished above her in fifth place, the fact she struggled early on was what led to her loss tonight, if she had started off as well as she did in the third this result might have been different.

Heading to the center of the ring, Karlie gets her left hand raised to a loud cheer from her supporters, while she didn't have as strong a tournament as she'd have hoped, especially after winning her first two bouts, Karlie has at least finished on a high and as she grins looking at Kate, has scored a personal victory over a rival.

Who is helped from the ring, Kate heading to the backstage area, head down as she stares at the floor, when she looks back at the tournament this can also be seen as a missed opportunity by Kate, she started off poorly with no wins in the first three bouts, when she finally got momentum she lost it again, she might need to look in the mirror and think what she needs to fix before her next fight.

In the ring Kloss walks around the inside of the ring blowing kisses and waving to her supporters, enjoying the spotlight again after such a rough patch, her coaching team will be hoping this tournament has finally given her renewed focus going forwards, to finally achieve her potential that was seen in her six years ago.

For now she leaves the ring with Kelly beside her, a relaxed look on both women as the horrors of last months defeat seem to be pushed into the back of their minds, now it's to a bright future for the partnership, onto the next goal for Kloss.
