Intro:
Finally it is main event time here in Madison Square Garden, the final fight of this years Diamond Boxing tournament is its biggest, Robyn Lawley (6-0) and Charlotte McKinney (6-0) are both undefeated in the tournament and over this calendar year, the winner will be crowned the second ever Diamond Boxing tournament champion.

Heading into the bout several of the top fighters spoke to journalists on the red carpet outside the venue on fight night, here is a few quotes from those fighters:

The First Diamond Boxing Tournament winner Camille Kostek:
“Robyn‘s a freaking beast! She‘ll make anyone of us look like small kids in the ring – and we‘re all tall, big girls ourselves! You can back her up when you‘re gutsy and brave, like me I mean, but that right hand‘s a menace – believe me, I‘ve felt it! McKinney‘s a lithe, svelte fighter, relying on speed, dynamics – I don‘t think Robyn‘s going to allow her to do *any* of those things...Robyn with a big, sloshing knockout before the fifth it is!“

Former seven time FCBA welterweight champion Amanda Righetti:
“It‘s a tough fight for me to predict, because I haven‘t faced either girl in the ring, surprisingly. But I‘ve certainly been impressed by Lawley‘s development, that‘s for sure. I think her weakness might be that she‘s taking her strength for granted a bit – girls tend to look better against her than you anticipate at first. I‘m not entirely sure how much damage she can take *herself*, you know? I would have loved to have tested her out in one my next welter title defenses! That won‘t happen, unfortunately, but she‘s still the most exciting prospect at welter right now, I think. Oh, and I have no doubt she‘ll whup McKinney‘s butt!“

Former four time FCBA welterweight champion Kate Upton:
"Looking at Robyn and Charlotte, I can't  believe that either of these two b*tches are the future of the welterweight division.  It's just just as shocking that we have a bimbo like Brooklyn on top of the division right now, but that's a discussion for another day.  I mean, you look at Robyn, who is definitely pretty big and tough.   But, trust me, I don't back down from anybody ad I'm not backing down from Robyn in the future. I've put that Aussie down twice now and I don't have any reason to think the third time won't be a charm too.   She hits hard, but I hit pretty d*mn hard myself.  As far as Charlotte, I mean, she's like the discount version of me. A lot of people have pushed her as the next Kate Upton and to be honest, there was a time where I might've been threatened by her. I remember when she smothered me out and I vowed that wouldn't happen again.   And so far, it hasn't because she's like the cheaper, weaker and dumber version of me.  Regardless of who wins this tournament and I'm glad to see so many fun new names in the division, none of them - absolutely none of them - should forget who the f*cking Queen is. To get to the top of the division goes through me and I'll be there at ringside during the finale to remind them of exactly that.  Rooting them on, but also freaking reminding."

The night before the bout both fighters got a chance to get up close at a press event on stage, after the undercard fighters had said their pieces, a podium was placed at the center, with Robyn heading on the right side of the stage wearing an emerald green dress, Charlotte wearing a white dress stepping on from the left side, both facing off in front of the podium with the height difference of course noticeable, fists raised as they stare intensely at each other before they head off to separate sides of the stage.

The first to the podium is Robyn, she gives a quick wave to the crowd before she gets down to business, saying "2022 has been beyond my wildest dreams so far, I set out with the goal of proving I am one of the best in this sport, now that I am on the cusp of winning this tournament, I don't feel like I can lose right now" that draws a grin from her opponent, who is certainly willing to test that out.

"I have to give massive credit to Charlotte, she has been phenomenal in this event, we've never fought before but I have seen the intensity in her eyes when we have met face to face, while you might not like me Charlotte, you will respect me when that bell rings to end the fight with me holding the trophy" continues Robyn, eyeing her opponent with that last part before she gives her the podium.

Stepping up to the podium as she watches Robyn walk off to her side of the stage, Charlotte tells her "how cute Robyn, haven't you realised by now that I don't respect you, the last two times we have stood in a ring with the gloves off I have got right into your face, sure you are tall and pack a punch, you also were a loser not that long ago looking for a win, if not for Sceej saving your career we wouldn't be here, you'd be back begging for fights" Robyn places her hands on her hips as she stares hard at McKinney.

"See since I was cut by Front Street I have not complained once; know why? Because they taught me to be patient and to believe in myself, while others wrote me off before a punch was thrown in this tournament, I grabbed every chance I got in fights, when we finally have the gloves on and the bell rings, you will wilt under the bright lights as you always do" adds Charlotte, hands on her own hips as the tension is clear between them.

Security edges closer as Robyn moves towards Charlotte, she asks the smaller woman "is that so?" With Charlotte replying "yes bytch, I will mow your fat ass over" Robyn slapping Charlotte maybe in as much pay back for the slap she got from her after the fight with Emma Corrin, security gets between them as Charlotte has her fists raised, heels coming off as neither looks prepared to wait, they want their shot now, coaches rush on to cool things down, telling both to save it for the fight, Charlotte rubbing her right cheek as she stares hatefully at Robyn, whatever happens in the actual bout, it feels like both have made an enemy for life as they leave the stage.

Fight night, a loud "Godzilla" roar plays through the sound system with Robyn the first through the curtain, she cups her ears as her supporters chant her name, smiling warmly before she begins her walk down the aisle alongside her coach Gena Lee Nolin, Jenny McCarthy is ringside cheering her stablemate on as clearly they don't want her distracting Lawley in her corner.

Robyn soon gets a glimpse at the trophy and tiara placed on a podium at ringside, taking a breath to get rid of any butterflies at the sight of what she is fighting for, Robyn steps into the ring wearing a green sports bra that is designed to look like scales, matching trunks, green boots and gloves as she really goes for the "Godzilla" look tonight, hair tied into a ponytail, she thuds her gloves together as she stares ahead with an intense look.

Here comes Charlotte now as her coach follows behind, she poses at the top of the aisle with her arms flexed, showing all her hard work preparing for arguably the biggest fight of an already great career, walking down the aisle she stops to have a quick look at the prizes on offer to the winner, also seeing her corner stablemate and current FCBA welterweight champion Brooklyn Decker at ringside, locking eyes in an intense stare as no love lost there.

Walking around the ring where Jenny is, Charlotte gets to hear "you're gonna lose dancing hooker!" Which Charlotte replies with a "f**k you Mac" before she gets to her set of ring steps, jogging up them to climb into the ring wearing a white sports bra with gold trim, matching trunks and shoes, white gloves with gold thumbs, hair tied into a braid as she takes a breath to cool her own nerves, hugging her coach as her fans chant her name.

There's electricity in the air as the fighters walk to the center, crowd chanting both fighters names as they stare each other down, referee going through the final instructions, making sure to point out if this goes the distance and the judges score a draw, we will go to sudden death rounds to get a winner, both nodding to that as that's what they want, a definite winner between them, there's a quick swipe of gloves as both just want to get this fight started, returning to their corners to a roar from the crowd, the bell is rung to start 10 rounds of welterweight action.

Round 1:
"Ding!" The crowd chants for both fighters as they walk out their corners, Robyn stabbing jabs towards Charlotte, who dances side to side looking for openings, stabbing in her own jabs towards the body of Robyn, just missing with an overhand right as Robyn steps back, a left hook slams into the cheek of Charlotte, followed by a straight to knock her back a step.

Maybe there are nerves on both sides as Robyn doesn't press her advantage too hard, keeping Charlotte mostly at range, taking several hits around her torso as Charlotte isn't going hard to get inside the reach of Lawley, a hint of worry on both that one mistake could lead to an early downfall in the biggest fight of their careers.

Less then a minute to go and now both are opening up, Charlotte dips her head under a straight to bang in three hooks to the body that make Robyn groan, the Aussie fighter giving Charlotte a nudge back, landing a left/right cross combo to the cheeks of the smaller fighter to turn her head, the round soon comes to a close with both women taking a breath after they pass each other, coaches telling them similar messages of relax and do what they discussed in the build up.

Round 2:
It's clear early on that Robyn's reach is going to help her start off the better of the two, she is starting to catch Charlotte more with thudding punches around the top of her head to press back the American fighter to the outside part of the ring, holding the center as she takes single punches back in return.

After a dominant first minute, Robyn misses with a jab as Charlotte crouches under it, hammering in a right hook under the ribs of Robyn, then catches her on the chin with an overhand left, that certainly gets the attention of Lawley as she backs off, McKinney sticking to the inside as she hammers away at the torso of the lanky fighter.

Pushing off Charlotte, it's been a hard fought round, again another mistake by Robyn leaves her open to an overhand left, this time onto her cheek before two short rights bury themselves into her abs, Robyn clinches Charlotte up, with Charlotte trying to power Robyn back but finding her a brick wall, they are split up with Charlotte staring hard at Robyn, getting clipped trying to come back at her with straight punches till the bell rings, that wasn't how Robyn wanted things to go, Charlotte nods to her coach as they discuss what was good in the round.

Round 3:
Back out they come with Charlotte getting more aggressive, they trade more at midrange, landing thudding shots as the sound of leather cracking onto flesh rings out, Robyn again gets caught over the top by an overhand left as Charlotte is timing that punch beautifully so far, an uppercut sending Robyn onto her heels.

Working Robyn onto the ropes, Charlotte looks to have the bit between her teeth, banging in hooks till she is wrapped up by Robyn, who looks ready to curse up a storm over what is happening, the referee breaks them up with Robyn the quicker off the mark with a flush one-two combo into the face of her opponent to knock her head backwards.

Robyn is starting to get her rhythm back till she misses with a left cross, Charlotte landing two counter right hooks to the ribs of Robyn, again dragging McKinney into a clinch to slow her momentum down, when the round ends it's another great round for the American, she jogs back to her corner looking all business, Robyn meanwhile sits on her stool looking ready to scream, Gena gives her a stern telling off for not being fully focused as she sees it, Robyn assures her she will be as they bump fists.

Round 4:
Trading more stiff single punches to start, Robyn this time catches out Charlotte coming at her with a left cross to her cheek, a one-two combo follows to push back Charlotte, Robyn throwing more punches in bunches as she is herding her opponent around the outside part of the ring.

Charlotte is covering up more landing just single punches, Robyn starting to bully her around with hooks coming in behind her jab, when they land they are sending sweat off the brow of McKinney, a right hook opens up Charlotte's guard for a jab to land square through towards the right eye, making her cry out and clinch up with Robyn.

As they resume there is a little swelling already around the right eye of Charlotte, she isn't so confident of getting to the inside now, Robyn looking a real force this round as she is leading Charlotte around the ring, at the bell Lawley raises her arms in the air to a loud roar from her fans, heading back to her corner to see a smiling Gena, Charlotte meanwhile gets her face wiped down and the swelling around her right eye worked on.

Round 5:
Out they come with Charlotte trying to protect her right eye, Robyn is throwing more punches together now, holding the center of the ring as she makes Charlotte have to fight with the ropes behind her, punches dig into gaps in each fighters defenses, with barks and groans coming from each fighter.

Trying to force the issue back the other way, Charlotte steps in with a straight to the body of Robyn, who steps back as an overhand left swings just in front of her face, INSTEAD IT'S ROBYN LANDING A RIGHT HOOK ON THE EAR OF CHARLOTTE, SENDING HER DOWN TO HER KNEES!

Massive moment as Robyn flexes her right arm for her fans in the neutral corner, maybe as a show of strength to her rivals at ringside, 1...2...3... Charlotte shakes her head to clear the cobwebs, 4...5... Planting her right foot as she watches the count, 6...7...8.. She gets to her feet, fists raised as she tells the referee she is OK.

They resume with Robyn looking for the finish, hunting down Charlotte around the ring, Charlotte showing her legs haven't gone with some nice footwork, tapping Robyn with single punches into her lips and into her abs, a left cross does catch Charlotte across her cheek, a straight knocks her onto the ropes as sweat flies off her, before Robyn can try to unload on her the bell rings to end the round, Robyn looks assured of herself now as she marches back to her corner, Charlotte meanwhile is getting a pep talk from her coach, not to get too worried yet as they discuss what went wrong.

Round 6:
Hunting after Charlotte out the gates, Robyn is starting to throw in more hooks wanting to end this now, but she is leaving herself open, a missed left hook earns her a counter overhand right onto her jaw, a left buries itself into her solar plexus, THEN AN UPPERCUT SENDS HER STUMBLING BACK ONTO HER BACKSIDE!

"Yes!" Yells Charlotte as she jogs to the neutral corner, her supporters now on their feet screaming her name, 1...2...3... It's Lawley's turn to now shake her head to clear it, 4...5...6... Getting to her knees with her right hand on the middle rope nearest her, 7...8.. She pulls herself to her feet, nodding to the referee she is OK as the drama continues to ramp up in this contest.

Back at it they go with Charlotte finding her confidence to force her way back in, a right cross opens a cut on the bottom lip of Robyn, who snarls out as she swings back, Robyn isn't as good at this close range, especially against a compact opponent like McKinney, leading to Lawley being driven into a neutral corner, holding onto Charlotte to slow her down.

Once they are split up and start fighting again, Charlotte gets clipped to her face with a double jab, Robyn boxing more defensively off her back foot as she moves side to side, Charlotte landing more stiff body shots as Robyn is starting to grit her mouthpiece not to show how much those shots are starting to hurt her, the round comes to a close with Charlotte shaking her right fist at Robyn, as if in a warning to what is coming for her, both stare intensely from their stools as they sit and get cleaned up.

Round 7:
Pushing off their stools the punches are getting more deliberate, not wasting where they place them as much as Robyn isn't swinging anymore, Charlotte gets her way to the inside to whack in a left/right hook combo, being pulled into a front headlock by the taller fighter, it seems like the crowd is getting more on Charlotte's side as they see her start to pressure the Goliath like figure of Robyn.

Broken up Charlotte is keeping the pressure on her rival, digging away on the inside to body and the lips of Robyn to cause more blood to drip off the cut onto her jugs, Robyn using her left to keep nudging the terrier like McKinney back, then landing hard rights across her face.

Final forty five seconds to go, Charlotte gets caught with a left hook across her face on her eye, a straight follows to knock back the head of the American, Robyn lands another left that causes that swelling around Charlotte's right to look worse, Robyn knocking her into a neutral corner, finishing strong as she sends in hooks, the bell ringing with Robyn jogging back to her corner with a glare, Charlotte rubbing her right eye, wincing as she does so, her corner team working on patching her up.

Round 8:
Slamming in more punches through guards as they open up, a double jab snaps back the head of Charlotte, she misses trying to swing back a right hook at Robyn, with a clubbing right hook from the Aussie smacking Charlotte across her face to send her stumbling a step to the side.

More punches are finding a home through Charlotte's guard, Robyn lands a left hook that sends sweat flying, an uppercut rocks Charlotte onto the ropes as Robyn's fans are roaring her on, CHARLOTTE TRIES TO CLINCH BUT A STRAIGHT KNOCKS HER BACK, A LEFT HOOK LANDS FLUSH ACROSS THE JAW OF CHARLOTTE! GUMSHIELD FLIES OUT AS CHARLOTTE GOES DOWN FLAT ON HER FRONT WITH A THUD!

Robyn pounds her chest with her right glove as she stares at Charlotte, marching to the neutral corner with a thunderous look on her face, 1...2...3... Charlotte isn't moving, 4...5...6.. The referee checks her and doesn't bother with the rest of the count, REFEREE SIGNALLING FOR THE BELL AS CHARLOTTE IS OUT COLD!

Winner Robyn Lawley KO Round 8

After:
What a way to finish the tournament, a highly reel knockout for the woman of the year in the FCBA so far, Robyn looks to the heavens with tears in her eyes, all the losses and hard work to get herself to this level are leading to true successes now, Gena rushes into the ring to hug her, tears running down the coaches face as she has saw that improvement first hand, saw all the effort Robyn has put in to get to this point.

All the while the ringside doctor and Charlotte's coach rush into the ring, giving her smelling salts to bring her around, Charlotte has had a phenomenal year for being a free agent, her supporters look gobsmacked at ringside as they look at her, Charlotte comes around as she is helped to her back.

Soon a stretcher is brought in as Charlotte looks out of it still, Robyn comes over to tell Charlotte's coach she hopes that Charlotte will be OK, getting a few words of congratulations in reply as the coach shows there are no hard feelings, Charlotte is applauded as she is taken out the ring to the medical area in the back, tonight David couldn't slay Goliath.

Robyn gets cleaned up by her corner team, Jenny McCarthy of course is making sure to gloat to those around her, yelling "I told you she was a dancing hooker! Old wiz picks them alright" splashing her glass of wine over those around her, some looking ready to smack her if she doesn't stop, most worrying for Jenny is Amanda Righetti giving her a death stare.

Inside the ring the podium with the trophy and tiara is placed at its center, with Robyn looking at it as Gena tells her she has earned this, wiping tears from her eyes, Robyn looks overwhelmed as she nods to Gena with a smile, she then steps to the center of the ring.

Her left arm is raised by the referee to make the result official, then an FCBA committee member in a black suit has to wait till Robyn bends slightly so they can place the diamond tiara on her head, followed by handing her the trophy, making her the second ever Diamond Boxing Tournament winner, silver confetti falls as Robyn holds the trophy aloft for all to see, cheers and applause fill the legendary venue, even the FCBA welterweight champion Brooklyn Decker gives her a begrudging smile

Walking around the ring on a lap of honour showing off the trophy, Robyn is beaming as she takes in her supporters love, this will be a moment she will never forget, she has to hand Gena the trophy so she can get out the ring, staring at Brooklyn for a moment as they will fight soon enough for the welterweight title if all goes well, Brooklyn holding up the title as Robyn shows off her trophy.

Walking to the back with Gena on her right side, both buzzing as they discuss the future, all the while Jenny is being held back by security for her safety as Amanda has taken her jewellery off and looks ready to shut her up as others egg on the former welterweight champion to do it, just imagine what the party will be like tonight for Lawley if Jenny makes it alive to it.
