Nikki Sanderson (Kear's Kats) v Havana Brown (Wildetime Boxing)

Both of these girls are 38 years old now, although Nikki is only a couple of weeks off 39, and Havana is openly saying that she’s using her as a way back into boxing after her defeat by Diana Korkunova in her brave challenge just over 3 years ago, since when she has stayed out of the ring.

Nikki has chosen a red bra and panties set for tonight’s fight, with Havana showing her curves in a white basque and yellow microskirt, the girls happy to bump gloves pre-fight out of mutual respect.

Round 1

Both girls need a good performance tonight, and they are making a lot of effort to impress from the opening bell, with Nikki the more aggressive, Havana more skilful, and the fight starts with Havana picking Nikki off too easily, her hands quicker and more accurate, spearing right crosses into Nikki’s face, the Brit trying to get to her, but she needs to use more ringcraft than she’s showing, because Havana’s giving her a bit of a boxing lesson here, Nikki’s face already pink from the constant thumping she’s taken in a very one-sided opening round.

Round 2

Nikki’s changed her tactics, and she’s trying to bully Havana but Havana’s standing her ground, still picking off Nikki with her sweet punches, as Nikki sneers nastily, and now she at last gets some decent rhythm, as she hits and hurts Havana with a left hook, Havana at last needing to take a backwards step, as Nikki’s trying to prise her defence open, but Havana withstands her assault, and fights back, her punches again stinging Nikki, who’s still trying to come forwards, even though she’s coming up short in her attack, whilst Havana has little problem landing punches on her.

Round 3

Both girls are quick to attack again, each wanting to prove their superiority, but it’s Havana getting the better of things again, hurting Nikki with a good left hook, and she’s pressing the Brit, who clinches, Havana thumping her ribs inside until the referee gets between them, but from there Nikki lands a good shot on Havana’s mouth, the Australian now having to back off, and Nikki’s getting to her, cornering her and hurting her with crisp punches to her face, then looking to weaken her with bodyshots, but Havana keeps her elbows tucked in neatly before landing another good left hook on Nikki’s face, once again working on the Brit as the round ends.

Round 4

Havana immediately takes control, looking good as she works Nikki around, gets her on the ropes and thumps her body, Nikki bravely fighting back, but she’s tiring, and her workrate is beginning to drop, Havana starting to cause some bruising to her reddened cheeks, and she gets another left hook home, Nikki sagging a little as she gets roughed up inside when she tries to clinch, Havana looking just too speedy for her tonight, Nikki squealing a little as the Australian relentlessly hits her ribs and flanks.

Round 5

Nikki comes at Havana hard, but Havana resists well, and she again hits Nikki with some cruel right handed bodyshots, the Brit’s guard dropping, so Havana drills a straight left into her mouth, rocking her head back, splitting her bottom lip wide open, and although brave Nikki’s doing what she can to fight back, Havana’s on fire right now, and she bats Nikki’s face left and right, snot and blood flying from the battered Brit’s face as she takes everything Havana throws her way, still trying to respond with her own punches, but on the wrong end of a beating so far tonight.

Round 6

Havana looks in the groove again, banging another great shot into Nikki’s ribs, but Nikki’s fighting back yet again, the poor Brit hopelessly outclassed but so willing, and she’s managed to send Havana backwards with a good left hook, has her on the ropes, and she’s trying to unload on the Aussie’s body, but can’t quite land another decent shot, and now she’s beginning to tire again, so that the fitter, better boxer Havana easily gets out of trouble, turns Nikki around, and gives her body some more punishment before the end of the round, really exhausting the Brit now, and she’s being softened up for the inevitable defeat when Havana decides to finish her off.

Round 7

At last Nikki’s beginning to look dispirited, but still she’s willing to fight on, although now Havana begins to increase the pressure on her and has her trapped in a neutral corner, beats her body just to make sure her resistance is over, and now she punches her face, poor Nikki bleeding from a cut along her left cheek, her defence minimal as Havana steps back half a pace, creates space for an uppercut, and knocks Nikki out.

Result: Havana Brown knocked out Nikki Sanderson in round 7

That was an easy win for Havana – because she worked hard to make it easy. The word is that she’s being lined up to face Kear's Kats new recruit Mimi Webb, but probably not until the new girl has beaten a jobber or two first.
