Zara makes her long awaited return to the BBU some eighteen months after losing the flyweight title to Ewelina Lisowska, but the 27 year old will need to be wary of the 25 year old, who is unbeaten in 2023, and is keen to make a title challenge of her own.

Mimi is in the ring first, wearing a gold and green bikini, soon joined by Zara in a baby blue underwear set which has the audience’s minds boggling.

Round 1

Mimi’s made a quick start, surprising Zara a little, the Brit backing away, but she gets through her initial shock, and cuffs Mimi. Who backs off, then attacks again, Zara now drifting backwards, but she does this so that when Mimi comes in close, Zara hits her face with solid punches, Mimi stumbling a little, and although she tries to recover, Zara clubs her with a left hook, and Mimi does down! The Australian takes for a 7 count, and gets up, but she looks weakened and vulnerable, with Zara now sensing a quick comeback victory as she tries to hand her a first round defeat, throwing some crisp and damaging punches to the younger girl’s face, but Mimi survives, although she’s already a bit battered and bruised.

Round 2

Away the girls go again, Zara looking for victory, and poor Mimi doesn’t look at all happy, and she’s hardly off her stool when Zara hits her again, whips in a couple of vicious bodyshots, then hits her face, left hook, right hook, then another right, and Mimi’s down again, but this time she doesn’t move whilst the referee counts her out.

Result: Zara Holland knocked out Mimi Perkins in round 2

Zara didn’t waste any time disposing of Mimi tonight, and she wants the flyweight title back from Jorgie Porter, promising Leah Perkins that she can have first go at her once she’s beaten Jorgie.
