4. Olivia Mescia vs Leah Perkins
Olivia: (21, 5’7, BBU Debut, Free Agent)
Leah: (23, 5’3, 9:2 BBU, The Bondi Babes)
BEFORE: Now it's Leah Perkins who wants family revenge, but Olivia Mescia triggers some pre-fight action before the bell when the two twins met for the official staredown, and the haughty rookie shoved her forehead too close in for comfort.
Leah retaliates with a tight slap across Mescia’s face, but is quickly tackled to the ground by the bigger blonde. After they get separated, the two fighters are ordered back to their corners to await the opening bell.
Perkins is wearing a pearly white bikini and green gloves, whereas Olivia is in a black bikini and yellow gloves. HERE WE GO with ten rounds of Flyweight action!
ROUND 1: The fighters come out with a lot of energy, and Olivia takes control early with some powerful punches. Suddenly, Olivia lands a big right hand to Leah's jaw, and Leah goes down hard! Olivia rushes forward to try to finish the fight, but Leah survives by holding on and keeping Olivia at bay with her jab. Leah manages to make it to the end of the round, but Olivia is the clear winner.
ROUND 2: Leah starts the second round much stronger and more focused, landing several clean shots to Olivia's head and body. Olivia tries to respond but is mostly kept at bay by Leah's strong jab. The momentum is shifting in Leah's favor, and she starts to dominate the round with her powerful punches.
ROUND 3: Both fighters come out swinging, exchanging blows in the center of the ring. The round is a close affair, with both fighters landing several clean shots. Leah tries to use her height and reach advantage, but Olivia is not backing down and keeps coming forward. The round ends in a draw, with neither fighter able to assert their dominance.
ROUND 4: Leah starts the fourth round with a lot of aggression, and Olivia tries to counter with some hard punches. Leah lands a vicious left hook that sends Olivia crashing to the canvas. Olivia is out cold, and the referee immediately stops the fight, declaring Leah the winner by knockout.
Official Decision: Leah Perkins defeats Olivia Mathers via KO4!
AFTER: After the fight, Leah’s ecstatic about her victory and has some harsh words for her opponent: "I told you that the Perkins sisters always come out on top," Leah said. "Olivia is a good fighter, but I proved tonight that I am the better one."
Olivia is visibly disappointed but maintains her composure. "Leah got me with a good shot, but I'll be back," Olivia said. "I have a lot to work on, but I'm not going to let this defeat define me."
Despite the intense rivalry and tension between the two fighters, they both showed respect for each other's skills in the ring. For now, all the winners from this afternoon’s event move on to the semifinals of this tournament! We’d like to thank Lioness Club for their continued assistance with the logistics!
