JANUARY TO REMEMBER: THE INCIDENT
Fans of the Queens of Absolution had been waiting for this day since Zooey Deschanel went on TV during ‘Late Night Before the Bell’ and announced the “meet & greet.” It was an opportunity for the Queens to garner more support and for the fans to meet their favorite celebrity boxers. While the sun may have been setting on Los Angeles, the day was by no means over for the Queens who had been answering questions and taking photos all day.
It was quite packed still as some just wanted to meet their favorite Queen and others wanted to meet them all! Of course, no one forgot about Zooey Deschanel herself who like Amy Acker was much harder to get photos with.
Illuminated by the soft glow of the setting sun outside Queens Complex, the stunning Queens were enjoying their time with the fans some of whom had the opportunity to have their photos with a Queen taken in a ring setup specifically for the ‘meet & greet.’ However, a noticeable crowd started forming around a blonde woman who was trying to make her way in.
This caught the eye of Elyse Levesque, Saraya, and Krysten Ritter who had stopped what they were doing and started to make their way towards the assembling crowd. Inside the ring, Katherine McNamara had just taken a photo with a fan and could see the blonde woman’s face: Emily VanCamp of Lookout! Boxing. With the three Queens already approaching her, Kat turned to Zooey Deschanel and pointed out what was happening before them.
Zooey, dressed in a loose form shaped purple sleeveless top and black jeans - an ensemble that brought out her features; especially her notable blue eyes, didn’t seem to have a care in the world that VanCamp was present and being approached by a trio of the most dangerous women from the Queens. In fact, she smirked. Deschanel and McNamara moved to a corner of the ring to get a better view of what was going on.
As the trio of Queens approached the crowd split allowing Emily to come face to face with Elyse, Saraya, and Krysten. With the recent tensions between Lookout! Boxing and the Queens of Absolution in the media and after Saraya’s match with Wallis Day, the crowd fell silent as if it was a calm before an eerie storm.
The tallest of them all, the beautiful Canadian Elyse Levesque who was wearing a pink sports bra with white trim and black tights, her long taut pale abs glistening in the setting sun, had placed her right hand on her right hip and looked at VanCamp with disdain in her eyes. Krysten, the second tallest and the American raven-haired beauty wearing a black bikini bra and panties, her body glistening almost as much as Levesque given their almost identical skin tone, had a hand on her left hip. Standing center was the English girl who had humiliated Wallis Day: Saraya - wearing what was quickly becoming a signature attire for her in the boxing ring: a purple with black trim bra and booty shorts with a black belt that sure looked like what she wore when she dismantled Wallis Day eyed the identically tall blonde.
Like Zooey Deschanel, Emily VanCamp was far more casually dressed: a white blouse and blue jeans although you could see she was wearing a black bra underneath her blouse. Her wavy blonde hair as loose as all the other notable names present. VanCamp came to make a statement to the Queens that even on their own property that Lookout! Boxing could still get to them but with the tensions so high, what was intended as a statement was about to turn very ugly.
Emily was extremely confident in her abilities, but wondered potentially whether she had been overconfident in coming here today. She had been visiting one of her favorite local coffee shops after a workout, when she’d heard about the Queens of Absolution coming into town. Seeing Saraya and Zooey on the television screen had cemented her desire to show them up. However, she now realizes she should’ve showed up with more back-up, seeing the whole entourage of so-called ‘Queens’ on display. However, there was no backing down now and remembering how devastated Wallis was after her loss. Today was a day for revenge and it would start right now.
“Didn’t I say Lookout! Boxing has their house wherever Lookout Boxing! decides to be?” the blonde taunted. “Wasn’t this something I told you that you should really keep in mind?” she continued.
The Norwich, England girl, out of nowhere, just snapped and landed a right hook into VanCamp’s lovely face, splitting her lip and taking everyone by surprise including Elyse Levesque and Krysten Ritter. “Didn’t I say this was the Queen’s house now,” the English girl said menacingly. Emily tried to return the favor and hit Saraya right in the left cheek - an event that one of them would soon regret.
Things escalated quickly from there. Emily and Saraya were shoving each other aggressively back and forth, both of them backpedaling with the intensity of pushing one another. Elyse and Krysten stepped forward potentially to intervene, but Zooey put a restraining on her face to see how things played out for the moment. Hard slaps were exchanged, the sound of palms on skin ringing through the air loudly as they crack loudly, like thunderclaps as the crowd grew more animated. The two of them grabbed each other’s hair, staggering as they both tried to shove each other back towards the ring as Emily managed to suddenly twist at the last moment.
Planting her feet as she slammed her hip into Saraya’s abs, Emily smirked as she listened to a loud exhale from her foe’s lips. Yanking hard on her tresses as VanCamp managed to send Saraya crashing to the ground in a Hip Toss, with a loud crash and accompanying howl. Saraya jolted off of the floor as she felt a jolt of pain shooting up from her posterior and through her spine, arching upwards as Emily smirked. Left hand tugging up on her foe’s tresses again and balling up a fist with her other hand. VanCamp prepared to send a punch from above towards the pro wrestler as she started to rise, when Zooey suddenly called out towards her.
Deschanel moved to step towards her, but Emily extended one finger towards her in a warning as she snarled, “Don’t. You. Dare.” However, that momentary distraction was more than enough for Saraya to act. An angered Saraya grabbed Emily’s hands and with great force, pulled her and let go so she’d hit the corner of the ring that had been set-up for the event. Zooey and Kat moved to the opposite corner to stay out of Saraya’s way in case she got any ideas of tossing VanCamp into the ring.
Emily, who had hit the corner of the ring and now found herself on the pavement was quickly found to have herself with Saraya’s legs wrapped around her waist applying pressure in a submission hold that the English girl had used before in her wrestling career. It didn’t take long for VanCamp to tap out which Saraya happily obliged to but she was no where near done. The Norwich, England girl stood up and dragged Emily into the very ring that Zooey Deschanel and Katherine McNamara were watching from.
Sliding under the ropes and into the ring, Saraya decided she was going to put Emily into one more submission hold - one very painful submission hold. Saraya got Emily onto her back, grabbed hold of both of her ankles, and held her legs up followed by crossing VanCamp’s legs around her own leg and turning Emily onto her tummy. Saraya held the leg lock by trapping VanCamp’s foot between her thigh and torso, leaning forward and hooking both of Emily’s arms before leaning back and picking her off the canvas in a modified scorpion crosslock.
Emily, a boxer and not a wrestler quickly found herself screaming in pain and trying to tap out to Saraya who held the hold for Zooey Deschanel to come over. “Would you give this message to Michelle?” Deschanel asked rhetorically before she close fisted punched Emily VanCamp in the right cheek and in the nose - the latter hard enough that blood dripped onto the canvas. The moment was forever captured by a photographer and would find its way into the media causing quite the controversy.
What happened between Deschanel, VanCamp, and Saraya after - well, nobody is entirely certain as the event was cleared out quickly. However, it seems that before she was returned to Lookout! Boxing battered and bruised, she was treated by medics from the Queens of Absolution.
It seems the Queens and Lookout! Boxing are on course for a war. The question is, are either side ready and just how far will these two stables take it?
