This is the fight Leah has wanted for many years!

And tonight she gets her wish, with the chance to win a title belt thrown in for good measure!

She has chosen a sexy barely there black and white underwear set for the fight with white gloves so that, as she says, “Fightfans can see Gemma’s blood”.

Gemma has been a stalwart in both BBU and FCBA and looks as good as ever in a black and red outfit, the Manchester lass wearing red gloves.

Round 1

Both girls have started the fight quickly, with Gemma immediately attacking Leah, landing a couple of solid left jabs, then she starts swinging in good punches from either hand, makes Leah step back, but foolishly gets in too close when she follows up, and Leah’s hurt Gemma with a left hook, the older girl’s head getting turned sideways, sweat flying from her blonde hair, but as soon as Gemma switches the attack to Leah’s body, Leah doesn’t like it, and she doubles over when she takes a straight one to the belly, blocks a good follow up right hook aimed at her face, seems to have weathered the storm, but she gets hit to the ribs, covers and takes what Gemma has, grunting as the older blonde hits her, tries to fight back, but gets caught with a sweet right to her jaw in the final seconds, and she’s looking a little dazed as she moves to her corner.

Round 2

Gemma’s started quickly as she tries to work on her advantage, and she’s pressing Leah backwards, then Leah reacts, and lands a stinging left hook on Gemma’s cheek, the older girl deciding to fight fire with fire, and she goes for Leah’s body again, wanting to tire the big girl out as soon as she can, but Leah’s defending well, again takes what Gemma has to give her, then, when it looks like Gemma may need a breather, Leah fights back, and she swats Gemma’s face with two more left hooks, Leah gaining in confidence, and always looking for a big punch, so much so that Gemma has to stay back and defend, the older girl doing what she can to keep Leah at a distance as the round draws to a close, Leah swaggering as she spins Gemma sideways again in the final seconds.

Round 3

Both girls get off their stools looking for more action, and there’s a big exchange of punches immediately, with Leah hurting Gemma, landing a beautiful left hook again, the older girl already sporting a bruise swelling on her right cheek, but she’s quite happy to trade punches with the Southampton blonde, presses her backwards with some neat work on her body, Leah trying to punch her way clear of the ropes, but then Gemma hits her with a left cross, grazes her face with a right uppercut, and hurts her, Leah’s nose bloodied, and she retreats right into a neutral corner, where Gemma cuffs her, making her cover up and let Gemma whale away at her ribs and flanks with good left and right hooks, Leah backed into the turnbuckle, taking her punishment, Gemma trying another uppercut, but Leah blocks it this time, and she just stays on the ropes until the bell.

Round 4

These girls are just ripping into one another, both intent on ripping the other’s head off, but now Gemma reverts to boxing, instead of brawling, and she’s getting her jabs through Leah’s defence, the younger girl’s head being knocked backwards again, her bloodied nose still dripping, but Leah comes back at Gemma, bravely standing her ground against the more experienced fighter, getting her own punches into Gemma’s face as well, Gemma having to step backwards, and now, following her prey to the ropes, Leah lands a couple of hard bodyshots, the well trained Gemma taking those well, but she has to drop her hands a little, and so Leah takes her chance to crack a peachy left hook across Gemma’s cheek, and that has the Manchester babe wobbling, Leah still getting after her, clubbing her along the ropes, Gemma in some discomfort, and now Leah ‘s hurt Gemma again with her left hook, Gemma’s right cheek bruising up, and Leah’s looking pleased with herself as the round ends.

Round 5

Unbelievably this fight is only 4 rounds old, with both girls looking rather messed up, but the fifth round starts with good work from Leah , who swiftly sends Gemma back on her heels, wanting so desperately to beat the BBU veteran, but Gemma isn’t ready to let the younger blonde come in and dominate her, so that when Leah starts to take the fight to her, she makes the silly mistake of coming in too quickly, so that the grinning Gemma picks her off, swatting her face side to side, hurting Leah once more, and pressing her backed into the ropes, ready to unload, but the tough and busty Leah lands a good left to Gemma’s body, and she turns the former FCBA champion, and punishes her on the ropes, thuds in some heavy punches to bring the big girl’s guard down, spies her opening, then whips in a couple of punches to Gemma’s face, a glancing right cross cutting Gemma’s left eyebrow, and she isn’t happy about that, claims it was a headbutt, which is stupid, because these punches are being thrown from distance, and Gemma isn’t fooling anyone as Leah bangs some great shots into her ribs as the round draws to a close, the Southampton girl looking really good right now.

Round 6

Leah clearly wants this title badly, and she’s giving some testing punches to Gemma, sends the older blonde backwards briefly, but the superfit Gemma responds, and now she lands a series of sweetly timed punches to Leah’s face, the busty model’s nose still bleeding, and almost certainly broken as Gemma squashes it again, but the feisty Leah isn’t ready to let Gemma dominate her, and she’s striking back, jabbing Gemma with a couple of neat jabs, bringing her in tight, so that she hits the Manchester beauty with a crisp little shortarm right uppercut, Gemma’s head flipping upwards, and for a bit of afters, Leah catches Gemma solidly across her face with with her left hook, and Gemma goes down! Gemma’s up at 6, looks angry, and takes revenge on Leah as she hits her back again, wanting to cause some damage on the younger blonde, and Leah’s now hurt again as Gemma whips in a right hook to her big boobs, then a left to her liver, Leah squealing, but she’s a tough cookie, and is clearly loving the situation where she’s put Gemma on her ass, the older girl throwing some pretty untidy punches at Leah, who spears Gemma with nice shots around her eyes and cheeks.

Round 7

Leah’s keeping up her level of aggression as she thumps Gemma hard with a right hook to her ribs, but the older girl doesn’t seem bothered this time, and now Gemma’s punching Leah with good straight shots, Leah’s head rocking backwards with each one, and those are solid jabs, but tough girl Leah just stands and punches Gemma back, until Gemma unloads a peachy right hook on her jaw, and now Leah’s hurt and starting to backtrack into her own corner, where Gemma gets some heavy shots into Leah’s body, the Southampton girl looking a little weary, and Gemma follows up, when she clubs Leah with a right hand and cuts her left cheek, Leah staggered, wiping at her stinging face with her glove, and she bravely fights back, responding well to being cut, back at Gemma as she thuds a short uppercut into Gemma’s body, the older girl winded briefly, Leah unable to take advantage though, because the round draws to a close.

Round 8

Both girls must be tired, but there’s no let up in the action, as Gemma does Leah no good at all as she thumps her body as hard as she can, Leah gasping and groaning, and she looks to be hurt and in trouble, the more experienced Gemma quickly seizing her chance, hitting Leah with a solid right hook, and that’s floored Leah! Suddenly Leah is on the canvas, rolls over and pushes herself upright, so that she gets up at 7, but she’s looking a little woozy, and now a dominant Gemma presses Leah backwards, the younger blonde defending as best she can, but she’s taking punishment, Gemma working on Leah’s body, but the girl won’t drop her guard, sways away from Gemma’s big swings, the older girl becoming untidy, and she’s just not quite able to finish the job, because she can’t land another decent punch to Leah’s bruised and bloodied face, her cheek wound looking nasty.

Round 9

Gemma’s looking the more likely winner now as she works Leah around the ring, Leah again in bother as her left cheek swells some more, her eye gradually closing, and Gemma hits her again, right cross, left hook to start, then she puts Leah down again with a right hook, Leah bleeding from her left eyebrow as well as her cheek as she stubbornly gets up at 7 again, Gemma waiting for her, ready to knock her out, but she gets stuck into Gemma at close quarters, shocking the former FCBA Champion as she unloads punches, working hard on her body, and a discouraged Gemma is now beginning to wilt, Leah in her ear, goading her with obscenities, and although Gemma’s hitting her again when the referee breaks the pair, her punches aren’t really hurting Leah now, and the younger girl ends the round strongly as she whips in a couple more left hooks, and now Gemma’s cut over her right eye as well as her left, looking shabby at the bell, blood running down her face as well as Leah’s, and surely neither girl has anything left?

Round 10

Incredibly, this fight is into the final round now, and both girls are striving to win this fight emphatically, with Gemma landing a great combination to Leah’s face to send her skittering backwards to her own corner, the younger babe’s left eye pretty much shut now, but when Gemma comes in close to try to knock her out, Leah reopens Gemma’s cut eyebrows with a lovely two fisted attack, and Leah’s turner her girl, has Gemma backed into the turnbuckle now, and Gemma suddenly looks exhausted, not offering anything back as the powerful Leah hits her in the belly, then, as Gemma loses heart, she lands two left hooks her face, and Gemma goes down! This might be over, because Gemma’s very dazed, but she somehow gets up at 8, her face is a red mask now, and surely she can’t see Leah’s punches coming, a rampant Leah sending Gemma’s head backwards with a straight right, then she bends the exhausted Gemma over with three big bodyshots to her belly, Gemma’s mouth hanging open as she fights for breath, and in now comes the uppercut from Leah, lifting Gemma’s head upwards, and she looks finished now, flopping forwards and looking semi conscious as she leans in on Leah, who gives her another uppercut, spreading her back against the ropes, and now a third! A senseless Gemma collapses to the canvas, and there’s no need to count, because she’s done!

Result: Leah Francis knocked out Gemma Atkinson in round 10 to become the inaugural English Welterweight Champion!

That fight was a slugfest and a bloodbath! Leah probably deserved the win, because she lasted the pace better, but a rematch would be interesting.

Leah is celebrating, and goes to Gemma’s corner, “C’mon Gem! Let’s do a lap of honour!’ She helps Gemma to her feet, and parades around the ring with her, both girls arms aloft, then she snaps, ‘Stupid bitch! On your knees!’ Leah pushes Gemma down to her knees in front of her, and sneers, ‘Kiss ‘em, bitch!’ Gemma realises that she’s been tricked, and dutifully kisses Leah’s feet, then shudders when she watches the new champion slip her knickers down, and demand, ‘Lick me!’ The lights are dimmed as Gemma pays homage in typical BBU fashion, and when they come back on, Leah has a broad, goofy grin on her swollen lips, as she hoarsely gasps, ‘Nice job!’
