Demi Rose vs Lauren Summer

Both fighters disdaining a robe for their entrances, Demi in a red demi-cup top, zebra-stripe thong bottoms, black gloves, hair loose and long down her back. Lauren in a purple triangle-cut bikini, thong bottoms, white gloves, hair loose and cascading over her back and breasts. Both fighters barefoot in the sand.

Lauren would use her reach advantage to keep the fight at arm’s length for most of the first two rounds, though Demi would manage to break in and slug away in the dying seconds of the first. But in the third, Rose would land a sidearm right in the first minute that blew Summer to her back and post a banging shutout that would end with Demi having to be pulled off of her prey after the bell.

Lauren got on her bicycle and would play keep away in the fourth & fifth, landing some decent shots as she did so, but Demi figured out the geometry in the sixth, and was able to force her to trade in the seventh. A trade in uppercuts led to Summer scoring to Rose’s jugs, but the four-time JMD champion landed to the Playmate’s solar plexus, taking her breath away. A trade in hooks would see Demi send Lauren reeling back onto the ropes, making the taller woman give up her back to the incoming juggernaut. One more hook would send Summer spinning to the sand belly-first, and give Demi a curvy-power KO7 to kick off the tournament.

At 5’ 8” Lauren was the biggest woman in this tournament except Kira Kosarin. The weight cut to bantam may well have been too much for her. It is worth noting that she has been put forward as a possible place filler for the Queen of the Beach tournament in August, so this we may well be seeing more of her this year!
