BEFORE:
Fresh off a win over Hayley Orrantia, Avril Lavigne looks to continue her hot streak and surprising level of activity in the ring, this time by going up against young Empire Boxing prospect Madison Iseman. Miss Lavigne first enters the press hall earlier looking smug and confident - her usual self, really - waving to her fans before bouncing up and down in her seat at the table.

"I don't really know much about Madison but she's new and looks like a total creampuff to me. She just signed with new management and I'm sure she'll be trying to impress them… pfft. Not on MY watch, kiddo. I'm gonna kick her ass tonight!" Avril laughs, keeping it short and simple, and clearly not giving Iseman the time of the day.

Madison herself is coming off a TKO loss to Nell Tiger Free, but seems to have gained a lot of confidence after recently signing her fortunes away to Empire Boxing after departing from Angels of Destruction at the end of last year. The blonde responds from across the table, looking spritely despite being on a two-fight losing streak.

“She doesn’t know when to keep her mouth shut, does she?” Madison says later with a shake of the head at the press table. “Big, bad Avril’s came to put me in my place, kick my ass, even! Scary stuff! Hey Av, you’re almost 40. Don’t you think it’s time to start acting your age and chill with all this cockiness? It makes you look bad… and will make you look even worse when I knock you out tonight.” Iseman ends with a smirk directed straight at the Canadian who’s busy rolling her eyes and shaking her head at the her younger opponent.

Ladies square up on stage and they’re of roughly the same height, with Madison coming in slightly taller, but it ain’t much of an advantage. Avril’s still spouting insults into the younger blonde’s face, taunting her for daring to have the confident she does. Iseman does her best to remain calm, however, smirking back with her chin upturned, and they’re both separated moments later without further incident.

Hours later, Avril strides into the arena with a pose and flourish - she’s wearing her usual Dollhouse gear of black sports bra and short tights, with hot pink highlights, her hair in a messy ponytail and she’s wearing black gloves. Madison is out next, and the American has gone for a simple green sports bra and long white tights, her blonde hair in a high bun, she bounces down the ramp and raises a pair of white gloves to her fans as the announcer calls her name.

Moments later, both blondes are in their respective corners exchanging some last minute words with their coaches as they bounce up and down to warm up. And without further ado, the referee signals for the bell - HERE WE GO with ten rounds of Flyweight action!

ROUND 1:
Avril starting the fight off as the aggressor, definitely prefering to finish the more athletic Madison off early and quickly than to test her stamina against the younger blonde. But Queen Lavigne isn’t giving her opponent’s boxing prowess much respect though, immediately throwing lefts and rights towards her head and scoring a couple of hits off the top of her arms. Madison grunts as the first jabs land clean off her forehead, but the feisty American then stuns Avril back with a right hook that screams in from outta nowhere! Lavigne gets rocked to the side, her overeagerness affecting her defences, as a return hook of her own also sails overhead, missing Iseman’s face by an inch. Madison suddenly comes alive, eager to battle her way back on the scoreboards and dominate the rest of the round. Avril’s now the one getting pushed backwards, taking thumping shots to her body and arms from an opponent who’s sporting some of the biggest biceps in the division as the Canadian experiences Iseman’s power firsthand. Bell rings and Lavigne’s overconfidence has cost her big time, leaving her wounded and reconsidering her entire strategy for this fight while Iseman smirks and confidently struts back to her corner.

ROUND 2:
Avril on the defensive to start the second, looking weary of the younger blonde now as she jabs back early, fending off an eager Iseman, who attempted to charge in to finish her off in the first few seconds. Not so fast, little sparrow, thinks Lavigne, as she slams a stiff shot to Madison’s face to draw a grunt, before bunching up the youngster’s body with several follow-up combos. Iseman is having trouble getting in close and exerting her power and youthful poise, snagging Avril on the forehead in an early melee but most of her punches instead hitting the arms to merely send Lavigne staggering off for a couple of seconds, but no more. Second half and Lavigne takes back control, using faster left-right combos to shock Iseman to her face before she can initiate her own attacks, and Madison is the one rubbing her cheek on her way back to her corner at the bell.

ROUND 3:
Iseman puts in even MORE energy to get close enough to brawl with Avril, and almost catches the Doll with some surprise, big hooks fired off at her head early. Lavigne lets out a shout as the younger blonde flies straight into her space, swinging a low hook to her side before going up high again with a killer swing, which the Doll barely manages to get clear before it swishes inches in front of her face instead. Iseman thinks that pure aggression is going to get her everywhere all at once, and she scores a couple of hits off the Doll’s arms and the ribs, but ultimately fails to blow her off her feet to score the first knockdown of the evening. Instead, Avril regains her distance and continues jabbing at Madison’s face with left-right combos that constantly harass her towards the bell. Close round overall, but Avril’s last minute spurt of action isn’t enough to edge out a victory.

ROUND 4:
All Avril has to do is keep her wits about her and stay out of range of the stronger more spritely blonde. She needs to outbox and outfox this wily competitor for the Flyweight throne, but is having trouble connecting any of her own punches to do some real hurt, and while Iseman receives several stings to her face, they’re mostly jabs and an occasional cross that crunch in, before Iseman lands her own hook to the body or the Doll’s guard to throw Avril a setback for another round. Iseman has used her time in the gym well and perhaps the lessons learnt from fighting Lily and Nell Tiger Free is to target Lavigne’s body for giggles, knowing the Punk-Princess’ stamina is bad enough without also having to worry about the wind getting knocked out of her sails. Bell rings and Lavigne loses out on another round, this time by a worse margin - she needs to adapt quickly or face the consequences going forward.

ROUND 5:
First minute has both ladies repeatedly clashing in the centre of the ring, with Madison eating a faceful of leather and several gloves shoved into her lips from Avril’s jab and swerve tactics. Madison, however, bites back immediately, squaring both shoulders and rotating her hips to send big waves into Avril’s arms, a hook or two crashing into the side to stumble her briefly. But Lavigne is also showing off her nimbleness for someone her age - she always manages to reset her position in the nick of time, her head swerving under another swing from Madison before burying her own glove into the youngster’s body thump thump, then another big ender to the chin to blast Iseman off towards the ropes. OUCH! The young blonde glassy eyed all of a sudden as she stumbles back, shaking her head more than once in pain. But the spunky newcomer doesn’t quite quit here, keeps throwing herself at Lavigne’s defences although with less and less results as the seconds go by. Final minute and Iseman’s seems to run out of her early juice, has one of her hooks parried awkwardly to the side, and another low blast to the body intercepted by Avril’s arms. Suddenly, it’s the experienced Doll’s show, as Lavigne thrusts her own gloves into the center of her frame, for close quarters shocks to the system as she beats Iseman back towards the ropes, her leather gloves chopped into the youngster’s body, bouncing off her toned abs or sent strong to SLAM into her arms. Iseman doing her best to hold her ground against Avril’s barrage but gets her guard blasted open in the final seconds of this pushback, her mouth hanging open as Lavigne squeezes those jaws back shut with a hook sent across the chin! BAM! and DOWN ISEMAN GOES, getting sent off her feet and down to her side, in a an impressive KNOCKDOWN attempt! Lavigne looking gassed herself, huffing and puffing, takes a moment to catch her breath before stumbling to a neutral corner hoping all this energy she just spent to overwhelm the youngster was enough. It seems like it might be…with Iseman barely stirring upwards as the referee count reaches 5….6…7…Madison making it up to her knees as Avril looks on from across the ring….8…9…she tries to make it back up but seems too disoriented, her legs are not cooperating! That’s it! There’s the final bell and Madison is still on her hands and knees! it’s OVER!

Official Decision: Avril Lavigne defeats Madison Iseman via KO5!

AFTER:
Big smile on Avril’s relieved face as the Punk-Princess raises her arms in the air and struts back to her corner to celebrate with her team while her fans cheer her on.

An important win for the Doll who’s back on the saddle with two wins in a row with tonight’s win improving her 2022 record to 8-4.
Iseman being helped to her feet by her team shortly after, the young actress looking quite disappointed and angry with herself as she exchanges glares with her victorious opponent from across the ring, with a gloating Avril giving her a smirk and a dismissive shout from her corner - “Nice try blondie!”.

It was a nice try indeed for the inexperienced Iseman, who gave Avril more than she bargained for for 4 and a half rounds before finally falling to the more experienced boxer, but Madison will surely only learn and grow from this defeat and it will be interesting watching her development with Empire Boxing going forward.

Tonight’s victory however belongs to Queen Lavigne who continues her celebration in the center of the ring, posing and blowing kisses to her many fans in attendance before finally making her way out.
Who will she be fighting next? Both us and her fans are eager to know…but no word or rumors from the Dollhouse side yet….I guess we’ll all have to wait a little longer to find out!
