TROIAN BELLISARIO VS ELODIE DI PATRIZI

Troian: 36 YO, 5’7 (1.70 m) 38-31-0, 34 KO since 2010 Pretty Little Punchers

Elodie: 32 YO, 5’7 (1.70 m) 16-9-0, 16 KO since 2021 Italians Boxing Better

Before: “Oh I especially like fighting the PLP girls,” says Italian singer Elodie Di Patrizi in the prefight meeting with the press. “I’ve beaten Ashley Benson, had a 1-1 split with Melissa Benoist but lost to Sasha Pieterse and Shay Mitchell. Now I am going to see what I can do with Troian. I can see she has a decent record, but not as good as mine and I’ve only been here 2 years and she’s been here 12.”

“Elodie, all I can say is, that if you couldn’t beat Sasha or Shay, you are very unlikely to be able to beat me. Still, we do like you Italian girls and I am looking forward to this fight,” Troian Bellisario said. “You and the IBB have accomplished a lot in just two years. That is a challenge for us veterans, but it’s one the best of us welcome and I certainly do,”

“I am glad t hear that. This should be a good fight,” Elodie said.

“I hope you still think so after it is over,” Troian cautioned.

“I hope that is what you think after it is over,” Elodie responded.

On the night of the fight, Elodie D Patrizi came to ring in a white bikini with black trim. Her gloves and boots were white with black laces. Her short hair was wetted down. Troian was in a light purple one piece swimsuit with dark purple gloves and boots (light purple laces). Troian’s hair was in double pigtails. Both fights seemed impatient to get going as they listened to the referee go through the instructions. At last they were able to tap gloves and go to their corners. Then the bell rang. The fight was on!

R1: Troian and Elodie move promptly to the middle of the ring. Troian making quick right hand moves against Elodie’s head. Elodie trying to dodge while getting off counters, but Troian shakes the singer up with some straight shots between the eyes. Elodie falls back to reorganize, but Troian hangs close, now pumping hooks into Elodie’s body. Elodie trying to gain some space with her jab, but Troian keeps up the pressure alternating between body and head to finish out the round. Troian Bellisario wins opening stanza easily.

R2: Elodie out quickly and swings away as soon as Troian is within range. Elodie able to and big right to the jaw and a big follow-up left to the chin. Troian goes wobbly and hastily gets her gloves up to defend her head. Elodie now goes to the body and Troian is treated to heavy whacks in the gut, ribs and finally some breast banging. Troian comes out of her daze in the last half of the round. She starts going after Elodie to the body and there is a sharp exchange of hooks to each other’s torso. Elodie being driven back, but then suddenly shifts to whacking Troian to the jaw. Troian falters and Elodie pounds in the body hooks to push her back as the round ends. Elodie able to come away with a narrow win.

R3: Troian now goes for Elodie’s body as the new round gets started. Troi moves up close and starts hammering in those hooks, but Elodie not backing down and gives it right back to Troi’s body. Steady, relentless punching goes on and on; They are keeping very even most of the way, but Troian is driving in her gut busters with enough force to making Elodie gasp for it. Elodie forced to retreat, but she is still punching defiantly at the bell. Still, Troian has managed to edge Elodie out to win the round.

R4: Elodie showing her toughness as she comes out and immediately returns to the toe to toe body busting battle with Troian. Grim battle of attrition as the two fighters keep up a rapid punch rate. Fighters body begin to shudder with each knew impact, but somehow shut out the pain to keep going. Back and forth, sometimes Troian being knocked back a step or two, other times it is Elodie being knocked back other heels, but each returns to the battle with grim determination. However Elodie able to make a late surge and push Troian back, doubled up from belly hooks and gasping for air. The bell sounds to end the round and the judges give it to Elodie Di Patrizi by a narrow margin.

R5: They go right back at it. Troian trying to make up for losing the last round by attacking first, Troian’s hooks centering on Elodie’s abs and ribs this time, but Elodie rallies and smites Troian in her own abs and ribs. Sweat ripping from the straining bodies of the two fighters as they battle it out in the trenches. Then Elodie suddenly fires a head swiveling right to the jaw and a clipping left to the chin. Troian’s legs shaking and she hunches up while trying to protect head from further Elodie action. Bell rings before Elodie can build on this, but it does help her edge out Troian to win the round.

R6: The bell rings. Elodie and Troian move rapidly from their corners. Troian suddenly swerving as they draw near and then she lunges in with a smashing right to the side of Elodie’s head. Elodie stumbles to one side Troian moves with her now bringing one head shot after another crashing into Elodie’s jaw and side of the head. Elodie unable to get her mitts up as she lurches into the ropes. Troian slides in front of her and POUNDS Elodie to the chin. ELODIE SINKS TO HER KNEES AND FAKLLS OVER ONTO HER SIDE! Troian wastes no time getting to the neutral corner. Referee stands over the fallen Elodie counting. Elodie reaches out to the ropes trying to use them to get back to her feet, but it is no use. Elodies strength fails and she slides back down into a heap.

“EIGHT!...NINE!...TEN!...YOU’RE OUT!”

TROIAN BELLISARIO DEFEATS ELODIE DI PATRIZI KO6!

After: “I just realized fighting Elodie to the body was not working. I decided to try changing my approach and, sure enough, I caught her off guard. She’s tough, no doubt of that, it was a good thing I gave u trying to out last to the body. So I am more than happy wo add this win to my record,” Troian cheerfully reports to the press.

“I am really disappointed with the outcome of this fight. I should have expected her to change her approach when she realized she was losing the body battle to me. I guess I take that lesson with me for my next Puncher fight, whoever it is with. I still think I could beat Pieterse and Mitchell—Troian too. We’ll see what happens. The IBB likes to keep its roster busy so there is always the chance for a rematch with at least one of them.”

A good win for Troian Bellisario who defeated an opponent who was giving a real battle to the body. Troian had to change her tactics in the 6th and she was to catch Elodie Di Patrizi off guard. Elodie DiPatrizi showed ability for up-close-and-personal grind-it-out fighting, but when Troian decided to break off this battle of attrition she caught by surprise. She said she learned her lesson and hopefully this can put down as disappointing, but useful learning experience.
