Demi Rose vs Malu Trevejo

(Words: O & E / Results: Lookout!)

Before: Much anticipated clash of two curvy young Latin lovelies. Demi drawing comparisons to Salma Hayek, racking up an impressive 4 JMD titles paired with a Bantamweight title reign. Malu on the other hand, is a student of the REAL Salma Hayek, and has been undefeated since making the move up to bantamweight. She’s begun collecting champion scalps this year, and is looking to make this her first tiara.

Both fighters disdaining a robe for their entrances. Malu in blue pattern bandeau and thong bottoms, white gloves, hair loose and wild. Demi in red triangle cut bikini and thong bottoms, black gloves, hair loose and windblown. Both fighters hair is more than a little sweat-stringy from their battles in the second round.

R1: DEMI LANDS THAT HOOK! Both fighters electing to swap hooks to body and tits early - girls bashing away, then Rose comes up top to bash Trevejo's chin. Malu stumbling away all wide-eyed: Demi steps-to at ropes and REEFS away hooks to torso! Rose with feet braced wide; teeth bared; twisting hips-right as she arches her back, really slamming that left hand into ribs&flank. Trevejo momentarily overwhelmed, butt-in-ropes/face-in-gloves as Demi beats her, Latina sponges, starts answering. By the end of the first minute, she's trading spiteful, short rights and lefts at close range as girls exchange toe-to-toe. Forehead to forehead, punches bouncing off pretty faces, bouncy boobs and firm bodies...ref has to enforce the bell as overheated vixens keep slugging.

R2: Rising left hook lifts Demi onto her toes: Malu really keying in on chin early! Right hand/left hook Rose belted back into ropes, eyes glassy. Steady thump of reefing left hooks to Demi's taut midsection: Malu's eyes narrowing in concentration, hips popping-right as she hammers home the hurt. Lovely leverage on these left hands - Trevejo twisting to her right to lick the left in; snatching the hand back to her own chest on biting follow through, really digging at Rose. Demi gasping hurt, showing ragged earmuff as she's sponging: she rallies late to compete ferociously at bell, once again bringing in ref hot.

R3: Lead right from Malu punches Demi's drowsy face back...stiff left jab lands...hook toggles chin...British beauty staring here, obviously hurt from accumulation of heavy leather in this tournament. Rose over the top with her left: Malu ducks and rolls with it, comes back with her left to breadbasket: whoofing gust of hurt from Rose as she's slugged up onto her toes again. Nothing fancy - just good honest Latin belligerence, beating Demi into ropes, forcing her to cover up and take what's coming. Round ends to the sight of Malu popping her bethonged booty into thumping, metronome hooks to Rose's waist...Demi paralyzed, face-in-gloves as curvy legs hold her up.

During the break, teary-eyed Rose admits to trainer: "I'm hurting" as her ribs are gently prodded - inducing cringe on the stool..

R4: Step-to & work. Neither woman able to change the script, anything cute or fancy was beaten out of them in the quarter-final. HUGE body blows landed both ways - fighters pawing with left hands for range, then leaning into straight, palm-down thrusts slanted to belly - or stepping in with swinging wide rights, dragging the power into offending gut. Gorgeous licks beat boozy/cranky exrpessions onto either woman's face - after the right hand body-bombs, they lounge inside with one another, scouring away left hooks and uppercuts. Demi SHELLING Malu's thick bicep/shoulders in close - just bludgeoning away on the taller woman, slugging her out of her stance...from the half-way point, determined ex-champion has sturdy ingenue backing up from sheer weight of shot. Down the stretch, weary Trevejo clinching, bogging Rose down: Demi trudging forward in the grasp, getting her ref's break only after continuing to press Malu to ropes after the bell.

R5: Demi hurt Malu last round, comes forward with aggressive stamping to get back to younger fighter’s body. Fighters working tight punches in close, pulling cropped shots into each other’s throbbing torsos. Rose grimacing, backing up - she's being shook-and-moved by Trevejo's heavy hands. Middle minute - Demi against ropes, Malu squaring up, using her brawny left shoulder to bump, then hooking off that. ROSE GOES DOWN! Trevejo with a gorgeous little left uppercut, picks up chin, unhinges her fellow Latina’s knees. Demi stumbling, goes to all fours, face-first at ropes - blinking out in astonishment at roaring crowd. Creaky 8, Rose - Trevejo hard eyed, steps-to - but DEMI WON'T HAVE IT! Rose snarling, wrapping Malu up in a clinch, bulling her way forward off the ropes: weary feet tangling up, slamming locked fighters to the sand. Ref stands them up, both fighters relentless – mouth-on-shoulder mindlessnes as they plows wide right/left roundhouses to midsection and flanks, desperate to find each other’s off-switch. Closing seconds, Demi gets bumped off, right under her chin, left across her body: she's just wilting into ropes, both fighters have taken a terrible thumping at bell.

R6: No-nonsense beauties step-to again - right hands tight to cheeks while left hands pop jabs on approach, converting to short-shrugging hooks as girls edge inside. Muscular bump and slug shoulder to shoulder - tummies thumped; biceps bruised; jugs humbled. Both women able to find opposing chin via short right uppercuts or tightly clipped left hooks: both sponging up clean, clouting shots, then crowding in close behind left shoulder to get revenge. Bruising, bruising fare...girls just steppin' around in groggy counter-clockwise circle, trading short, shocking clout, landing thick amidships/tart up top. Down the stretch muscular, short right uppercuts from Malu seem to discourage Demi in close, Latina girl's right hand finishing up at her own left ear on follow-through as British babe reels out of the phonebooth at the bell

R7: Demi rallies herself, giving Malu Trevejo the worst round of her career. A torrid beating: Rose leaning in to slam lead right hands to chin; jaming tummy& tits; shoulder-rolling the right hand receipt from Trevejo, then countering a slappy-sloppy right to chin. Malu battered off course, beaten around the sand - Demi scoring to head, then ripping up the body as Latina tries to duck-and-cover. Midway through, crowd-pleasing sequence of FOUR consecutive right hands (straight right; right uppercut; right cross; right cross) punches the mouthpiece off Trevejo's teeth, sends her reeling backwards to take a seat on the ropes! Malu stunned, glassy-eyed, but soldiering on...Demi groaning with effort, POURING the leather as Trevejo stoops forward behind earmuff. Malu moaning as Demi buries the right to gut, then the left - stepping back to let Trevejo totter forward before plowing home anew. Brutal stuff - Rose empties both barrels into Trevejo, can't get Latina to quit...bell sounds, initiating standing O for Demi's savagery/Malu's heart as this fight opens back up in the 7th.

R8: Brutal, mindless slogging in a phone-booth continues...fighters leaning forward, foreheads often bumping as they reach left hands in to clear the way, then POUND home the straight palm-down right to jugs or tummy. Splendid two way beef-beating, girls stepping around counter-clockwise as they slop the harm to rival torsos. Halfway through, Demi making headway with workmanlike left/rights against paunch, backing Malu up...Latina wincing, looking to clinch with she eats a short-shrugging left uppercut in close. TREVEJO'S LEGS GIVE A SHIMMY! Malu staring...she spills out of orbit, Demi pivots, lifts rising hook up to mouth, punch knocks Trevejo's head back, destabilizes her legs. Malu in staggering swoon, Demi shortens up her hook, smashing at left-side of Trevejo's face. Awkward, clubbing blows bash at Malu, cutting power to her knees DOWN GOES MALU! Trevejo drops straight down to knees, then chest, sprawling tummy-down at Rose's feet. IT'S OVER! Malu's lips parted in KO'd slumber...KO8 as Demi slams the door on the Cinderella story.

After: Demi and Malu in their second Fight of the Year candidate of the day and it shows. Demi dropping to a seat in the sand as soon as the ref lets her arm go. Planting a gloved hand on Tevejo’s famous derriere, she rolls the younger fighter onto her back, absently patting her belly as both fighters drowse in the sun until they are helped out to the shower tent.

Odds & Ends and Latino Knockouts see a sure-fire Main Event Rematch when they see it. Before Demi and Malu have finished in the showers, a table is set up outside and the contract for a New Year’s Eve Body Paint on the Beach match is waiting for their signature. First Malu, then Demi duck out of the tent with towels wrapped around their bodies, to sign their names. The towels, signed by both fighters, wind up being auctioned off for charity, and the proceeds and enquiries for the as yet non-existent New Year’s Card indicate the fans can’t wait to see these two face each other fresh!
