Before:

“Kelsey has not even had a body saddle fight yet. I’m going to bury her tonight.” Taylor boasts in the pre-fight press conference in the first of a best of three series for the Mistress of the Body Saddle. Swift is the reigning champion, but the blonde has struggled after having a stellar three years from 2019 to 2021 with a pedestrian 4-3 record in 2022 so far.

Merritt fires back, “Taylor hasn’t won anything since she got into the hall of fame. She’s had her achievement, but us younger girls aren’t waiting for the old to pass on the titles. We are taking them ourselves.” Kelsey pauses, “Not to mention, Fates is home to Odds & Ends public enemy number one of Emily DiDonato. Maybe if we run through the rest of the lightweights, we can get our rematches with Emily.”

Swift smolders, the blonde clearly not happy with DiDonato after the brunette ended both her record-setting title reign and denied her the hall of fame in her first match of eligibility. “Emily may be my stablemate but you can beat her any day, even after I beat you.”

The crowd is electric as the fight is announced between a classic new blood versus veteran hall of fame member. Kelsey steps out first, the brunette wearing a green bikini set with matching gloves for the fight and has a body saddle slung over her shoulder. The brunette gets a loud ovation from the crowd that subsides after a minute, the fans clearly liking the rookie.

Taylor steps out moments later, the blonde hoisting her embroidered body saddle high as Mistress of the Body Saddle. Swift wears a black sports bra and matching trunks with white gloves for the fight, and the blonde strides down to the ring, taking a lap to show off her legs before stepping into Kelsey’s face and raising her body saddle again. Merritt stares back and the ref separates the two girls before calling for the bell.

Round 1:
Merritt cagey to start the fight, the model knowing Swift’s gameplay before the blonde executes. Taylor goes right to her famous jab and working her offense early, but Kelsey’s guard stays strong and the model starts to find her counters. Merritt with a quick left into Swift’s face and the brunette follows up with a right into the blonde’s body, knocking her back. Kelsey working from close range, peppering Taylor’s body with short but efficient strikes. Taylor clinches before Kelsey can knock her into the ropes and the ref separates the two girls. Taylor again goes on the offensive, this time splitting Kelsey’s gloves with a right, but the singer goes for a hook the smaller model avoids and gives Kelsey a chance to get back in close and work the blonde’s body. The bell rings and Kelsey takes the opening round on points.

Round 2:
Kelsey charges out of her corner in a complete about face from the first round and the brunette connects with a straight left into Taylor’s face out of the gates. Swift stunned and Merritt capitalizes with a right hook that knocks the singer back to reality. Taylor covering up as Kelsey is taking it to the mistress of the body saddle early, and the singer is forced to clinch for a break. Merritt again goes for the quick strike - but this time Swift is ready. Taylor blocks the right from Kelsey and connects with a right of her own into the model’s face. Merritt drops back and Swift chases after her, the more experienced girl working that famous jab. Kelsey plants her feet and connects with a right into Taylor’s chest, stopping the singer’s advance, but Taylor lands another jab as the bell rings and the champion puts up more of a fight in the second round.

Round 3:
Swift hitting her stride to start the third as her jabs are connecting and she has Merritt on her heels early. Taylor landing a left-right jab combo that knocks the brunette back and Kelsey protects her head. The singer shifts her focus to the model’s body and draws an “oof” out of the younger girl after connecting with a big left into her midriff. Taylor follows up with a right across her foe’s ribs and Kelsey is able to clinch with the singer. The ref steps in and pulls the two girls apart and Taylor goes back to her jabs. Kelsey going for the counter now, but the blonde is too efficient with her jabs, and the brunette barely registers a pair of blows back against Taylor. Swift turning up the pressure and she drives a right straight at Merritt’s face, but the model steps out of the way and jabs the singer back with a right of her own. The bell rings and Taylor surges back to take the third.

Round 4:
Swift told to keep up with her jabs between rounds and the singer catches the model with a right jab to her cheek early. Merritt forced back as her face reddens from the strike and the Odds and Ends girl again looks for the counter. Swift bullying the smaller girl back with her reach as the singer plays target practice with her foe’s head. Taylor goes for a big overhand right - but the strike bounces off of Kelsey’s gloves and the Filipina model connects with a right chop into Taylor’s mouth. Swift caught off guard by the blow and Merritt follows up with a left into her mouth. Taylor gets her left glove up and connects with a right into Kelsey’s ribs, but the younger girl is at close range and she peppers the blonde’s body with short strikes. The bell rings and the two girls go back to their corners.

Round 5:
Taylor and Kelsey both charge out of their corners to start the fifth and it’s a flurry of blows as the two girls turn up the pressure. Swift with a left that glances off of Merritt’s jaw and the model steps back and plants her feet. Taylor goes for a follow up right but Kelsey is too fast and strikes the singer with a right hook to her jaw and Taylor is stunned! Merritt seizes on the opportunity and drives a right straight into Swift’s chin and the blonde’s legs wobble! Kelsey unleashes a barrage of rights and lefts as Taylor covers up, the brunette pounding the blonde back into the ropes. Taylor clinches and forces a break, but Kelsey comes right back at her and splits the blonde’s guard with a left that crashes into her nose. Merritt follows up with one, two, three quick strikes to Swift’s face and down goes the Mistress of the Body Saddle! Merritt to the corner as Swift shakes her head, the blonde desperately trying to get to all fours from her hands. The ref’s already at the count of seven as Taylor pulls her knees underneath her, but she has a distant look in her eyes as the ref counts out eight. The blonde blinks emptily and she gets no further as the ref reaches ten and calls for the bell. Your winner by KO5, Kelsey Merritt!

After:
Kelsey lets out a shout of victory and wastes no time retrieving the body saddle as the crowd roars to life over the upset victory. Merritt sheds her gloves and picks up the body saddle from the Odds & Ends training staff, an eager look in the newer fighter’s eyes as she picks up what may be the win of her career. Taylor has worked herself to a stable stance on all-fours, but the blonde is clearly exhausted and does not seem to notice the model striding up beside her.

Kelsey wraps the body saddle around Taylor’s trunk and the blonde bucks, trying to escape, but the model has the body saddle in place already and tightens it around the singer’s body. Swift gasps as Merritt expertly swings her right leg over the blonde’s back and saddles the current Mistress of the Body Saddle.

“What a pain your stable has been for us,” Kelsey taunts, “But tonight, I’m going to show the FCBA that you are nothing more than a has been the rest of us are tired of seeing. It’s my time now, so giddyup!”

Merritt digs in her heels and Swift lurches forward, the blonde not used to being the one being ridden. Taylor makes it around the ring twice before she collapses, and Kelsey plants her foot on Taylor’s back.

“The saddle will be mine - just you watch!” Merritt screams out, the brunette with a statement victory as she is just one more win away from becoming the mistress of the body saddle.
