BEFORE:

"Here's all I've got to say," says a hard-eyed Zoe. "Stewart is one thing. THIS girl is a completely different thing. Watch and see. Just watch and see."

"You know," says Peyton with a smile, "I'm USED to being underestimated. Ask all the girls who've done that lately how it's gone for them."

ROUND ONE:

O'Dell: "Back at ringside and that's 'Time To Be Awesome' you hear behind us, and here comes the singer of that tune, Zoe Saldana..."

Tess: "And, it's been a DECADE since she's done anything awesome inside an FCBA ring..."

McCarthy: "She DOES have FCBA wins, though, meaning she's not a TYPICAL Dancing Hooker Opponent..."

O'Dell: "Zoe into the ring and helped off with the robe, and she's looking VERY good in that white number we've seen before..."

All I wanna eat is cherry licorice

I don't care if it sounds ridiculous

Even the birds and the bees

Eat how they damn well please...

O'Dell: "And, the tune you hear behind us is 'Cherry Licorice' by the Felice Brothers, and that can only mean that 'The Cobra', Peyton List, is on her way to the ring..."

Cassie: "And, List has been doing VERY well since she was signed by Front Street. But, in a VERY competitive bantamweight division here, she needs to keep getting results."

O'Dell: "List into the ring and helped off with the robe by Jewel and Neve to reveal that baby blue number she likes. And, the ladies are about ready. Time for some picks. Tess likes Peyton. Mac?"

McCarthy: "Age ain't nothin' but a number! Saldana!"

O'Dell: "Cassie?"

Cassie: "I agree with Tess!"

O'Dell: "Split panel in the first, and Peyton aggressive immediately. She's stepping forward behind the jab, backing up the brunette with hard right hands. A little different that what we usually see from the blonde, she likes to box at range, but that's not the plan right now..."

McCarthy: "That's because she can't box with Zoe and she knows it!"

O'Dell: "Maybe not, but she can do what she's doing plenty effectively, at least for the moment. List in firm control of this thing early, getting off in combination, landing hard, accurate stuff. Zoe on the defensive, and the younger woman is keeping her there at the moment."

Tess: "This is good stuff from Peyton."

O'Dell: "Definitely is. We're down under twenty seconds to go in the opening round, and the younger blonde's been in control throughout. Saldana landing here and there, but Peyton's definitely gotten much the better of things. There's the bell, and it's List wide in the first."

Cassie: "And, she grabs the 10-9 lead."

ROUND TWO:

O'Dell: "Quick adjustment from Zoe. Saldana moving the feet now, circling, jabbing, stopping to pop, staying off square and not letting the blonde get that left on target, and it's making a huge difference. Now, it's List who can't get much going offensively and Saldana who's landing punches in bunches..."

Cassie: "Zoe's a former ballet dancer, so she can definitely move..."

O'Dell: "And, she's doing so very effectively right now. Blonde just can't find her with that left hand, and that means Peyton can't come forward effectively. Instead, she's turning with as Zoe circles, and Saldana's scoring in combination, then circling away before the younger woman can get anything done."

McCarthy: "Definitely giving the kid a lesson right now."

O'Dell: "We've got ten seconds left in what's been an excellent round for the brunette. NICE combination Saldana and another! List covering up and there's the bell. A complete 180 from the first round, as Zoe Saldana takes this stanza and takes is very, very wide."

Tess: "And, we're even at 19."


ROUND THREE:

O'Dell: "Saldana on the move. Blonde looking to match footwork now, line the brunette up, then get off. She's having some success, but not as much as she'd like. Zoe's still able to range around the ring and score in combination, though you have to wonder if a 44-year-old can keep this up all night..."

McCarthy: "Nothin' but a number, O'Dell. She's in GREAT shape."

O'Dell: "Most definitely looks it. Nice combination by Peyton there and Zoe responds with one of her own. This has been a good, two-way round with plenty of action so far, and it's showing no signs of slowing down. SHARP exchange there with both fighters landing some solid shot..."

Tess: "Nice right in there from Peyton, but Zoe took it well."

O'Dell: "Coming down the stretch in the third. There hasn't been much in it, as both fighters are having some success, but no one's able to take control. Another nice exchange. Saldana got the better of that one and there's the bell. Close, but it's going to be Zoe who gets the points."

Cassie: "And, Saldana takes the 19-18 lead."


ROUND FOUR:

O'Dell: "Fourth begins the way the third ended, with Zoe on the move and Peyton trying to match footwork and square. List landing a solid right hand there and another and she's thrown the older woman onto the defensive. Zoe being lined up and backed up all of a sudden..."

Cassie: "Not sure if that right hand hurt her, but, all of a sudden, List's in control..."

O'Dell: "That she is. Peyton coming forward behind that left hand like she did in the first, dropping hard rights on the older woman. Zoe firing back in counter, but List has the range and she's calling in the artillery and DOWN GOES SALDANA! A right hand from Peyton and Zoe is DOWN..."

Tess: "And, that might do it..."

O'Dell: "List to a neutral corner to watch and wait. Saldana down on her right side. Referee's count at three. Four. Five. Zoe pushing up to elbow and haunch at six. Seven. And, she SLUMPS BACK TO THE CANVAS! Eight. Nine. TEN! It's OVER! Saldana can't get off the deck and it's OVER. And your winner by KO4 is 'The Cobra', Peyton List!"

McCarthy: "Lucky punch!"

AFTER:
O'Dell: "Let's go up to the ring and Tess Valmore!"

Tess: "I have our winner, Peyton List, and, Peyton, she made things difficult for you for a couple of rounds, but you got the job done..."

Peyton (nodding): "Yeah. She still moves very well, so, I had to make some adjustments, but, I can DO that. I have a great corner here and I'm learning every time out. I can adjust on the fly, and I did. And, you saw the results."

Tess: "I know you're itching to get back on the big stage. Is that what's next?"

Peyton (smiling): "We'll see. I'm up for anything management comes up with. Anything."
